This guy Michael Russell is a legend and a good friend. I've raced alongside him on these roads, he's been a guest in my house on many occasions, I've met some great people and friends through him and we've had some great laughs along with ups and downs in this sport. It's been an absolute ball being part of the team mixing it up between racing and supporting him in the pits. Michael has done something most would think was unachievable not just all TT solo bike classes but the sidecar as well with his brilliant passenger Freddie. Thoughts are with all the families and friends of those we lost at this event. 🙏
Michael comes across as a really down to earth and genuine guy. Raced with him on the TT game haha nice guy to talk too. Can’t even begin to imagine what these guys go through round the TT. Pure warriors. All the best Michael and Team 👍👍

I love the real roadracing, and at the same time I feel some guilt in that, as the flip side of things is so, so bad. I've been to Ireland (from Sweden) a few times and every time bad has happened. Every time. What I always come back to though is I have to respect the racing in the same way the racers do themselves. They LOVE their racing and the all know about risks and possible consequences. In a society where things are more and more run by algorithms, I, for one, have come to the conclusion I actually need this type of madness to stay somewhat sane myself. Great to see mr Russel pulling off this huge challange!! As they say - Keep 'er lit!
Only learned about Michael via Hailey’s interviews and immediately liked the guy. A real down to earth gent. This interview was professionally and empathetically managed by Hailey when it got tough for Michael. Can’t begin to imagine what it must be like for him and the other racers, and RIP to the fallen x

I warned people something was horribly wrong before the races started and to look out for all the differences and things going wrong this year. I’m not surprised there were a convenient number of high fatalities this year. IOM gov is trying to cancel TT. This helps.
It should be banned it’s too dangerous, no safety whatsoever for the bikes etc except a couple of Marshall’s , at 200 mph they have Zero chance of survival, it’s time the curtain came down, 5 deaths already wtf 😳
