    1. i honestly don't know how this has any dislikes. 2. Thanks for all of your service to all veterans, you dont deserve to come back injured, or not come back at all. You make us free and everyone should appreciate everything you have done for america and it take guts, and not just any person's guts, but the guts of a true soldier to go out on that battle field and fight for what's right. again, thank you all soldiers, for your service.

To all veterans whether Army, Navy or Air force of ANY country, none deserves to be homeless and they have put their lives on the line for us to be who we are and how we live. These men and women are our super hero's and need to be given the same rights as us. a warm bed, food in their stomachs, the ability to wash and feel good about the life ahead of them instead of being thrown away as surplus to requirements. These people are selfless and brave and need to move on with life with dignity and honour.

I have posted many videos and songs today for our men and women... and in a few hours it will my Veterans Day. I am a veteran and I always wish I could do more for all of my brothers and sisters. So I have spent the good part of the day posting things on my site and in groups but I think this is the most moving thing I have done today... please share this with anyone and everyone. There are so many more lives to touch and hearts the heal.

These returning servicemen and woman deserve more than a thank you once a year. Everyday 15 veterans commit suicide and there is no cure for ptsd; with over 2,000 views, it deserves more than 28 likes. The musicians who wrote this song did an amazing job. Thank you to the men and woman of the U.S. Military who fight not just for America, but for the rights of those oppressed in the world full of injustice.

I'm really angry I couldn't join any branch, I've tried to join the usmc 3x and they denied me so I called 4 different recruiting offices. Yet they said no, still mad that was my dream since I was a kid to serve I only get along with veterans & I hate those who ignore them or talk smack

I saw a homeless vet downtown.Stopped to talk,& bought him a meal.He had some interesting stories to tell. Not just as a soldier but as a human being who went to school grew up to be a teenager & did crazy shit to show off.We now meet up every Sunday 4 lunch which usually carries on to dinner,my treat. He pays me back with stories he's read or things he's experienced or what he's been up to lately.Sometimes their good light hearted stories &other times it's about the shit he saw.I like to think it helps him and maybe it does.I'm a cop,not a soldier but sometimes I can understand not just empathize with what he's been through.I found out the other day that he'd managed to get a good paying steady job recently. He might even be able to get off the streets & into a real place soon.He admitted that the day I stopped to talk & offered him a meal & some of my time,he had been thinking about suicide.Sometimes all it takes is a moment of your time.I can't help but wonder what could have been lost

狐 First and foremost, I want to Thank You for doing a VERY HARD job, I lost my brother in law, because he was in the Police Force too, it's been. 34-35 yrs ago in 1981, there's not one day that I don't think of him, he was a very special Man and my children didn't ever get to meet him, on Christmas, my Mother in law cooks up a garden grown, southern dinner, I hadn't been to a Christmas dinner before we lost Richard, but. The family had their first dinner with out Richard, they were telling the funny things and we all loved that, but, there was, what I now call, the empty chair... A voice that should be talking and joking, yet, there were times of silence, I guess that's the way it goes when you can't say or do anything to help fill the place of one so dearly loved and missed.
I am now a US Marine Mom, my son and daughter both served as Marines 8 yrs each, and. after that, their Dad was told he had stage 4 Cancer everywhere and wouldn't live long, and, he held on for about three or four months and then he was gone... I've still got my kids and my Dad and Brother when he has time for me & Dad... So, now, there's a lot to empty chairs, so, Christmas just ain't Christmas these days, but, we get by.
So, when I say Thank You, it comes from my heart, and may God bless you and keep you from all harm, in Jesus name I pray, Amen 🕊️✝️🇺🇸

Memorial Day is today.... Just thinking about the brothers and sisters who didn't make it back... Thinking and telling myself (all the time and on this day): "if I was a "god", I wouldn't have created war." Or homelessness. Anyway, I send comfort, compassion, and peace to all the families of the fallen...
And if that wasn't enough. Our brothers and sisters who served for this country living on the streets. This is unacceptable! Especially in this country. There's too much money. Where is the money going? And what are these millionaires and billionaires doing? Nothing! There should be more shelters that offer therapy, medical, financial help, etc. They have money to build many 'for profit' organizations, however, not 'non-profit' organizations? Unacceptable! The homeless, who served or not, shouldn't have to wait on a waiting list! All because there's no space for them to recieve help. Unacceptable! There should be more non-profit organizations.
Last but not least, I know I'll keep doing my part. To show my understanding and appreciation.
Sending much respect, compassion, comfort, and peace to all of the brothers and sisters, who served and didn't, that are living homeless.
More change needs to happen in this country.

Great song. If you suffering from PTSD there is hope and a light to end this silence and darkness. Don't worry I do not recommend AA for alcoholics. I strongly encourage you to find a friend that knows your pain and suffered as much as you do and even more. You need someone who faced death and destruction just like you. One who bear your scars. But one who overcame. No more suffering in silence. No more hiding in darkness. For he was wounded for your transgressions, bruised for your iniquities. The punishment for your peace was on him and by his stripes you are healed. A man acquainted with grieve and sorrow. He did it for me. He will do it for you for free. Confidentiality guaranteed. Mercy you get and forgiveness will set you free. To wipe away your guilt and shame and even your tears. Not to numb but to heal your pain. No longer alone. No need for sex, cocaine or empty bottles of beer. A friend that sticks closer than a brother and a buddy now dead or gone. He fought his own wars, he faced his fears in the valley of the shadow of death he took courage just like you. And when hell and death surrounded his camp, he was captured, tortured and hung on a cross for the sake of everyone else. Did he do for the joy that he knew that others will live because of him. No greater love has anyone than to lay down his life for a friend. He called you friend though in your heart and mind you were an enemy. He did it for you and I. But God raised him from the dead and gave him more than a crown on his head. He has the power to give life to the dead. Whoever believes in him and are baptized will be saved. Whoever fails this mission will pay in hell. How deep, how dark he saw it all just like you. A soldier and a buddy to the end. Yes God's own warrior for mankind laid down his life for love sake. Jesus Christ son of God, the son of man, promised this same life and love to you and I to die and to live again forever in paradise. No more war, no more memory, fear, or depression. The enemy of your soul have been defeated. Come to Christ and he will give you peace and rest. And you know God who is love cannot lie. He is the way, the truth and the life. Whoever has this truth have eternal life living inside them. Amen.

As I listen to this song and watch this video for the first time, tears are streaming down my face. My son, LCpl Drew Stefforia, lost his battle with his inner demons, after serving with the Marine Corps in Afghanistan, almost 5 years ago. It might as well be yesterday. The pain of his loss hasn't lessened with time and I'm sure never will. He had a loving family, a handful of good friends, a place to live, but that wasn't enough! The "help" he got for his PTSD from the VA Hospital was a joke! I tried to follow him and my daughter, who passed away 4 and a half years before he did, but was, unfortunately, found before I succeeded. Still to this day Drew's Marine brothers keep me going and treat me like their family! Thank you to all who have served their country and fought for our freedom! My heart will always hold a special place for our veterans and all they have sacrificed for us! Drew I wish you hadn't become one of the twenty two, but I'm proud of everything you did and accomplished in your life! Rest in peace my mighty warrior and until Valhalla! I love you son❣🇺🇸😢

Veterans Day 2020: During this extremely difficult year when many of us are going through struggles we never anticipated, let’s remember the heroic Veterans who put their lives on the line for our freedoms and safety. Many Veterans have additional challenges this year brought on by the debilitating effects of PTSD, and need our support more than ever. I wish everyone a meaningful Veterans Day. And to those in Canada and the UK, I wish you a meaningful Remembrance Day.

todd hill I'm a military Mom and both my kids Served 8 yrs each and it's hard, it seemed to help my son and daughter the get a small dog, they sleep with them and seem to bring a bit of security to them, if you travel you can get the little dogs certified as Service Dogs that help keep you comforted, my son nor my daughter have told me very little about those yrs, but, my son said that it's not as easy as you might think, it's way different than any movie he had watched, I guess he didn't know what he was really going to have to do, but, you have to do what you have to do, that's what one veteran said got to do the things that are hard on all of you Veterans,
If you aren't ready or in a place for a dog, a cat can help you with your feelings to calm you down, petting a cat or dog will bring down blood pressure and heart rate, and with a cat, you don't have to walk a cat just get a litter box and a sticky roller no matter what type of pet you get...
I've wanted a fish tank again, but they're hard for me to keep clean. Most folks don't have that problem. Have you got a VFW POST CLOSE TO YA. you'd be in good company there,
I Thank you again for your service, and I wish you the best life has to offer you, and May God bless you and keep you safe and comfort you, in Jesus name I pray Amen 🕊️✝️🇺🇸🎗️♥️

My co-writers and I want to wish everyone on here today a meaningful Veterans Day; and for those of you in the U.K., Canada or Australia, a meaningful Remembrance Day ("lest we forget"). THANK YOU for helping us raise awareness, simply by watching & sharing our lyric video. Each person who views, likes, comments and shares is helping to effectively get the word out, so please continue to share with your family, friends & co-workers. As an update: 'I'm Not Home' is already being used by various non-profits/groups to help promote awareness, and my goal is to see this song become synonymous with helping homeless Veterans and Veterans struggling with PTSD.

+Laura McCall Torno (Songwriter) thank you so very much I have started a program called the veterannsproject and I am my brother's keeper.
www.gofundme.com/Giving-Back-vets to help raise awareness of the homeless issues in our country of men women & children alike I am my brother's keeper.
A little about us... We run this non-sectarian, non-partisan organization to ignite discussion on our world and in our communities, to educate our world about the injustice of aggressive violence. We believe that in order to reach out to our peers most effectively, we cannot stand on religious arguments alone, and we cannot adhere entirely to one political side in our currently polarized culture. We believe that the consistent life ethic is not for any one religious group or for any one political position, but rather for everyone dedicated to human rights, life and dignity. No matter your reason for believing in the inherent value of human life, we hope you can join us, and through our efforts we can together endeavor to make violence unthinkable - - - to make it history! YOU CAN BE A PARTNER FOR PEACE AND ALL LIFE
it is my deep belief that the idea that people can solve their differences through war is a hideous concept. History going back to the eariliest writings and heirogliphics, has clearly shown that violence begets violence, that hatred breeds hatred and that war is not an answer nor a solution. We are an intelligent people and have the ability to do so much better and to try so much harder to solve our problems without resorting to war. War is never an answer. I believe, that until we as members of the Human Race, acknowledge that we can only solve the problems between people and nations through education and with honest and open dialogue and peaceful means, that we will continue to witness the sad and destructive events of war, and the growth of hatred, racism, religeous fanaticism and the sadness in the eyes and hearts of so many who are caught up in the midst of the violence and misery caused by wars and conflicts around the globe. I believe that we need to educate each other to discover the truth behind each side's point of view and find a peaceful path that can allow people to exist next to each other without the anguish of war, racism and hatred. We are all brothers and sisters. Please know that within this belief system I still send out my love and support for the safety and health and for the speedy return of all of our brave men women and children of the military that are having to live in the midst of the horrors of war. I pray for them each day and pray as well that those who have sent them into these conflicts will change their hearts and end the insanity.
★ HELP FEED HOMELESS VETS CHILDREN AND CITIZENS ALIKE ★ While veterans represent 8% of the total population in the United States, they are disproportionately represented among our homeless: a startling 12% of the homeless population are veterans, or 16% of homeless adults. Most homeless veterans-over 90%-are male. About half of homeless veterans are disabled. You can help.

I love the video and thank you for making it. I am so very much the United States Army Veteran who this songs about, next to all my brothers and sisters who our entire country has tossed out into the cold once we killed the wolves at the door. I was hurt while serving in the Army by falling off my fuel vehicle and breaking my hip and rupturing a bunch of disks in my back, but instead of fixing my injuries Uncle Sam got me addicted to pain medicine and sent me packing. I love all my brothers and sisters and hate the fact that almost every single civilian in our country whether born here or not look at us that defended them with shame and disrespect. I’m currently living in a 2008 Mazda 5 with two full grown dogs and two full grown cats along with five brand new kittens in the Texas heat but heaven forbid there’s any civilians that’ll help
