Did you guys know it's National Stationery Week? What stationery is your favorite to use?
JetPens Jel pens
Pilot juice in green turqoise, green and dark red...
JetPens all of my stationary!
JetPens So hard to pick just one.....Tomoe River paper, A5 & 6 notebooks, UM 151 and Energel pens, fountain pens....too much!!
Everything from JetPens is my favorite.

Jetpens: *TOP GELPENS OF ALL TIME*
Jet Pens really is a class act all the way around.
Thank you so much for making this video. Love the size&color charts provided.
Had to kinda figure this out on my own quest but even before y'all made this video...your website, filters, and previous videos provided were enough to sort through your catalog of info..New buyers have the luxury of having it all in once place. kudos!
My favourite gel pen of all that I've tried is the Pilot G-2 05. The ink dries pretty quickly, writing is smooth and it holds up to highlighters. The colour range is not huge tho, but the price is good!
I still love G2s! There are tons of other great gel options, but the Pilot G2 is just such a great all-rounder, cheap, and widely available. They've never let me down.
@Light I had the same experience with the 0.5mm as well, I tried a 0.38mm once that was awful, almost paper-cutting thin so the 0.7mm is my go-to and the 1.0mm occasionally as well but usually too bold for general use, but the 1.0mm works fine for signing documents though.
The G2's are great pens I agree.
The G-2 is the GOAT simply for introducing so many people to the world of pens outside of disposable ballpoints.
Yeah me too but except. it's Scratchy and 0.5 became 0.1 because i saw a dirty one in clean place to place pens in A&H araimi boulevard
So i just buy the energel one but they look the SAME?!
My Energel is never let me down!
i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The uni-ball signo! I adore that pen! I have it in so many colors.
me too!
When I first started using them you had 1 color choice Black LOL. At least in the Uni-Ball Impact pens....now they have Gold, silver and white, none of which work in a workplace LOL. Shortly after I started using them they did release them in Blue and Black...they had a 1.0mm broad point, wrote very smooth, and certainly left an impact, they were bold and easy to read, but if you were trying to write anything on paper with narrowly spaced lines good luck, those things were way too bold for any precision type work, they wrote good, and had an easy to read ink but for an office they didn't work quite as well as the .7mm and .5mm Uni-Ball Signo gel stick pens that are more common.
307 is what I go back and forth with when picking a gel #1 (Sarasa Grand Gel is the other)
The Signo UM-151 is definitely my favorite to write, but I'd love to use it in a more "premium" format. It's obviously a capped design, so I'd love to see a metal body with a good cap that can be posted and will take a UM-151 filling.
Pilot Hi Tec C is the absolute best fine point pen there is. The 0.4 mm writes smoother and more precise than the 0.38 Signo DX.
Agreed. The Pilot Juice Up is great too. Sort of a hybrid but keeps the precision of a fine point.
Yes!! Best needle point ever!
Hey, what's comparison Hi-Tec-C and G-Tec-C? They look same to me.
@@HieroOnymos Its the same pen with different name. Pilot Malaysia says the hi tec c is for 0.5 version and other size is g tec. Some says its regional name
Is Hi Tec C 0.4 scratchy??
Yesssssss thank you so much jet pens I love you jetpens you always know best when it comes to stationary
My all-time favorite gel pen is Pilot Hi-Tec-C 0.4 . It's so smooth!
I recently discovered the Zebra Sarasa clip pen and I love it so much 👍❤️ thank you Jetpen for all the information ℹ️ 😎
Journaling Mygeeklife one of my favorite gel pens! The blue - black in. .3 or .4 mm size point is the sweet spot. And the clip is massively impressive. It is extremely sturdy and will clip the pen securely anywhere!
3:02 Perfect for taking notes in school!! Ordered them on amazon and I love them
your videos are actually so addictive to watch!
as a student and a stationary enthusiast I prefer the pentel energel since it also dries right away. Beforehand, I used the zebra sarasa one, but it smudged when I used mildliners lel. oh , I'm not a leftie :)
commonfangirl exactly! This righty also prefers the energel above all others!
Is it that good at drying though?! Like how long does it take exactly
I'm a lover of slick ink resistant papers. So all gel pens smudge for me. Including Sarasa dry and Frixion.
I love love love loooove my Energel Clena! its ink is running out can't wait to order more from the shop yaay!❤
The Uniball Signo Dx UM-151 0.28mm. It’s the only pen clear enough, smooth enough, and small enough for me to read my own notes well. I lovingly refer to it as “the pen that got me through college”. I mostly see 0.38mm’s for sale these days; I don’t know if the 0.28’s are discontinued…but there are still some around! including from you guys! I just got some and I’m so happy. Thank you so much!!
My faves gel pens:
Pilot Hi Tec C (for bullet journaling)
Pilot Prixion (to do list)
Pilot Hi Tec C Coleto (for color coding)
Zebra Mark On (for notes)
How about for drawings?
@@Somespideronline not everyone likes to draw lol
Personally think hi-tec-c might not be so good for bujo cuz it smears under water. If u spilled water on ur bujo then its pretty much gone
Prixion and not Frixion hahahah 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
I ordered the energel clena from you guys and they work like a charm👍👍
the mark on is my absolute favourite. i bought it to try when it first came out and didnt have have any reviews yet, but to my surprise its the best pen ive ever used for my notes. and i dont think i can live without it now
I'm a major Uni-Ball Signo fangirl, because of how readily available they are, but now I have a .25 Hi-Tec Coleto and a gray Sarasa Clip and I'm in love! Definitely my top three picks!
I Love sarasa clip but i never had one
3:02 I’ve been using the pens since a year and they work a charm!!!
I love the Pilot Frixion pens, especially those with the needle point tip.
Out of these I have the Energel in 0.7, it was recommended because I'm left-handed, and so far I'm really liking it. Also looking forward to trying the Hi-Tec-C sometime, maybe even the Coleto because it reminds me of a grown-up version of my childhood Bic 4-color pen :) Finally I love the way you say "Sarasa" :)
I love your channel so much!😍
Everytime I see their videos I think American pens are pointless
Was that a pun , ( if not I think the same too)
@@shistartae4649 I didn't think of it that way but yeah I think American pens are no good at this point
What American pens?
Makula Dukuly another pun why am i even laughing
@@carltarubal3907 Thanks 😂
Pentel energel x is my fav, sooo smooth, relatively fast drying, nice pen body. It's the pen that's closest to a fountain pen for writing.
1:04 As a leftie that loves drawing and writing, sometimes I get sad when I accidentally make a mess with the ink. That doesn't stop me from using fountain and gel pens, but I'll never be able to experience some things properly
Yeah lefties struggle with cursive
Aaliyah White I’m a leftie and I prefer to write in cursive which I use ballpoint pens for (for 4 years now) However when writing “normally” I use gel pens. I’ve been practicing my over summer bc it’s trash. 😆
I hope this helps my fellow lefties. ✌🏽
@Momokase
I relate so much
I'm a lefty and I've rarely ever had smudging issues.
This is quickly becoming my favorite UA-cam channel
Always like that my favorite zebra sarasa collection 😍😍😍
My current favourite is a Lamy safari charcoal rollerball pen with a Pentel energel refill.
The Zebra Sarasa Push Clip is indeed amazing for journaling!
the um151 is so good, i cry every time i write with it because it’s so nice
It’s sad seeing how many people hype up the Pentel Energel. I bought a pack of two at Target and was so excited to write with it but both kept skipping and the barrel popped open when I was writing. Really looking for a good pen for bullet journaling, thank you for this video
Okay, my favorite would be...
Pilot G-2 7
It glides across the paper.
agree! i’m using it for 3 years and it serves as my lucky charm whenever i participate in essay writing contests!
I had problems with my g2 where the ink doesnt come out at one side so im switching to hi tec c
Yh But For Me That's My 1 month of Savings
My all time favourite is Pilot G tec C4. The best pen I've ever used. Second one is Uni ball Signo.
uni ball signo Which One?
I only have Uni-ball Signo series gel pens, I got the basic Uni-ball Signo DX, Signo Needle, Signo RT and Signo 307. I still prefer to the Signo 307 by replaced its refill to UMR-83 0.38mm, blue black ink. Very smooth and comfortable for handwriting. The ink is clean and balance, unlike the traditional ballpoint pens.
Apart from the ones in the video, I also love Pilot Juice-up!!
This ^ The Juice Up combines so many positive aspects of all these. It's a clicker, is fine-tip but still robust. And has a beautiful look to the body.
Pentel Energel XM Pure. Beautiful looking, fast drying, smooth writing pen that looks so great it gets compliments. If I give a little go of it to someone at work, the say how great it is, probably hoping we have a few stored away and we'll give them one but we don't. I only bought three and gave 2 to friends.
i love the pentel energel gel pen
The Uni-ball Signo UM-151 is also my personal favorite, just like Pentel EnerGel.😊
I’m left handed, and I just hate it when I write with a pen only getting to see it smear on my paper as well as my own hand. I once bought some basic stationary when I was just getting into the stationary concept, and I got a smearing pen like most other basic pens! I really wanted to give up on stationary at that time because, if I can’t make good notes why try anyway? But now, a few weeks later; JetPens saved my stationary hobby! Thank you so much JetPens! I'm going to get a basic Sarasa Dry 0.5 mm and see how it turns out. Again, thank you!
The next step in the stationery hobby would be to choose the right paper with the right pens 😅
MsJoanis98 ikr
The Pilot Hi-Tec C Coleto is my favorite pen!
Uni-ball Signo UM-151 and Pentel EnerGels are my two go to gel pens.
Now I want more pens
Long time user of the Uni-Ball...recently I’m getting such a soft spot for Pilot pens though
Try the Pilot G2, its been a go-to pen of mine for over 14 years, they work great, write smooth (0.7mm or 1.0mm), and generally are highlighter friendly. The 0.38mm and the 0.5mm seemed too fine for me, but I have a heavy hand so the 0.7mm is a great alternative for a smoother writing experience for me.
The Pilot B2P is another option which is the G2 pen cartridge in a recycled water bottle case.
The Pilot Precise V5 and V7 liquid rollerball pens are great too...the V5 is a 0.5mm and the V7 is a 0.7mm tip. Both write great depending on which line width you prefer.
I've used the Pilot FriXion pens and have mixed feelings, they write great but they are NOT something to write important documents with as the ink can/will fade and disappear over time and if exposed to heat the ink completely disappears. Its a great pen for quick notes that are non-essential, but don't try to write any business type documents that you need to have forever with them you'll find your writings have disappeared after a period of years, and some have said the ink will start to yellow after a while too.
i can't wait to go back to school shopping for next year! just a few more months!
Signo DX is my go-to writing implement and has been for almost two decades. I could not have been older than ten or so when a relative of mine introduced me to the world of fine-tip gel pens. As soon as I picked a 0.38 Signo DX up and drew some lines on a paper, I fell in love.
Back then, I only used my black 0.38 Signo DX only when I needed to write well, for something special. Now it is pretty much the only choice as it suits my tiny handwriting thanks to its fine tip and dark ink.
Alternatives by Pilot and Pentel have not been able to match the 0.38 Signo DX. Curiously, Pilot's 0.4 Hi-Tec-C seemed to draw noticeably thicker lines than the 0.38 Signo DX (and Pilot G-2 skipped a lot). Although I would love to use even finer tips, they simply do not write as well as pens in the 0.38-0.4 class. Even the 0.28 Signo DX did not perform spectacularly.
So, a black Signo DX with a 0.38 tip is the gel pen for me. Smooth, dark and eloquent. There is something special in the act of removing the cap from the pen and posting it with a click. And doing the reverse, no retractable gel pen can match it.
A beginning and an end. The magic of writing.
0.38 DX writes smoothly doesn't matter in what angle you're holding the pen. The ink always flow in consistent amount.
I recommend a Pentel Tradio, oh crud the first time I used it, my hand was writing with a nice flow and the writing was as smooth as a baby's foot
Tried them all but the best for me are Uniball Signo Dx and Pentel Energel :D
My preference is uni ball click gel great grip very smooth and cost friendly
one thing I found with the Uniball at least years ago in high school was that as it reached the end of it's cycle, i'd have like maybe 3/8's of visible ink left but it would just start to die/not write at all
Trapped paper fibers in the cone. Happened to me when I use cheap notebook. But I can go through the end of the refill after I changed my notebook to Kokuyo and Apica.
I love the Zebra Sarasa On Gel Pen
My favourite stationery is the Energel refill with the zebra Sarasa body! #Studyquill_squad where are you?
wait you CAN DO THAT
sharon chase Omg didn't know you could do this. Mind blown!!!
I like that too! I can put a black energel with a pink body, my fav colour!
@@shalina3154 OMG I DIDNT KNOW EITHER
Wait ... Zebra Sarasa and Pilot G-2 have the same dimmension in all most everything ... Does the energel refill will suits the G-2 too ?
You guys are giving us the best staitionery items
Super surprised not seeing the Ohto Ray's on this list!
Wow. A complete snub of the Pilot G2?
My first Gel Pen was a Uni-Ball Signo Gel Impact Gel Pen which was the Black 1.0mm. Loved those pens, although relatively expensive at the time. They don't make them anymore obviously, just in white, silver, and looks like gold. I assume the new version is called the Uni-Ball Signo Broad UM-153 1.0mm Gel Pens. My only complaint is they tend to start skipping and not writing any longer if they aren't kept with the nib/tip down, at least that was my experience. So carrying them in a shirt pocket was out of the question, and even leaving them stored horizontally in a desk drawer gave very mixed results.
During my time in the Army I used the Pilot G2 Gel Pens for 12 years, and still use them occasionally. They seemed pretty reliable at least in the standard Army pen color of Black LOL. The G2's at the time were common with a .7mm tip and seemed to write quite smooth for a rollerball that up until a train-up for a deployment had never used a rollerball extensively before just the old Pentel Rolling Writer R100's that my shop teacher used a lot back then.
I started using the Paper Mate Inkjoy Gel Pens recently and they seem to work very well. Very smooth writing pens with a .7mm tip.
The UM151 is the absolute best pen I've used. i have a set of 10 black ones on my work desk and I currently have the 20 colour set in my jetpens cart lol
I tried the uniball uni click gel pen two years back, and I haven't even tried any other pen since then! And the best part is that the price is only RS 50! Do try it.
Pilot hi tec c is my lifetime pen! 💕
I've been using Pilot Hi Tec C 0.3mm for 6 years now.
Coletos are fine, but the bodies are fragile. I had 2 top-caps broken. Uni Style Fit is sturdier.
Me before video; Relaxed, “ oh this video looks interesting”
Me after video; literally drooling and wants all the pens “ DAD I NEED YOUR WALLETTTTTTT
True 😂😂😂😂😅😅😂😅😅😅😅🤣🤣😂😅😂🤣🥲🤣😂😅😅🤣🥲🤣😂😅😅🤣🥲🥲😂😅😅
😅 Haha definitely not me.
Lol!
You guys should make a video on the alpha gel lineup
Thanks for your suggestion!
Im a left handed person and i chose the pentel one naturally without watching guides. Indeed its best for lefties!
I used to have the uno ball signo 207 premier but I lost it at school
Energel Needle and Signo 207 for me. If you get a great G-7, then they are awesome although they smear a bit, but I have had so many bad ones I go back to Pentel and Uni.
If I had to chose only one model of pen to use for the rest of my life, it'd be the Zebra Sarasa Push Clip. I can accept the judgment that the UM-151 has a (marginally) better cartridge, but the Sarasa has the best grip and best clip of any pen, and an incredible variety of sizes and colors.
Tombow dual brush, Pentel energel, and Mildliners
I love using my frixion for note taking! Whenever i made a mistake i just erase it. It made my note prettier since I don’t have to use correction tape as much as i used to!
you have to be careful though!!!! My notes have gotten erased because of being carried around in a backpack in a really hot (think 40deg celsius) city
Just store in your home fridge freezer. The ink will be visible again.
paper mate ink joy makes great pens with good grips and numerous colors. sadly they werent included in this video for some reason.
As a lefty, I 100% agree with the top pen for left-handers! I love my Pentel Energels!!
Oh, Jetpens, you spoil us! I'm a tried and true Energel fan, but I am always open for more suggestions. Let the obsession continue...
same here!
what's the difference between the zebra sarasa dry compared to the zebra sarasa mark on?
FINALLY THE GEL PENS
Whats the difference between the Uni-Ball Signo UM-151 and UM-100?
Forgive me but I'm not sure what the difference is between pens used for writing, journaling, and note-taking. Wouldn't a pen that is good for one of these also be good for the other? Also, what is the trade-off in using the best quick-drying pen? Why isn't this one also the best for note-taking or journaling? Is smearing acceptable in these applications? Thanks for any insight.
I like your videos!
Hi I'm from Malaysia .the ink of my unibal signo keeps becoming a blotch of ink on the tip I've bought many buy they keep near impossible to write with can I know why it's like this ?any fixes ?
My Zebra Sarasa Push Clip Pen stopped working with ½ of the ink still in it. Any advice to deal with this problem?
awesome video as always. i gotta say tho i would have swapped the sarasa clip and the uniball signo. The signo is so permanent/archival I love using it in my Journals and BuJos and the sarasa is so convenient with the click top and long grip that I love carrying them to class for notetaking. Just my preference love to see my favorites make it into a video in any way =D
Thomas P put the uni signo ( the retractable version) cartridge in the Sarasa pen. Then you have the best of both worlds.
@@collecter3456 the Uni-Ball UMR-8x (for UM 207s) refills, Sarasa refills, and Pentel LRx refill are all interchangeable!
Francis Craig pretty much. Go try it. I love making combos with these cartridges.
@@collecter3456 I also like the body of the Sarasa Push Clip. Pentel Energel + Sarasa body works for me. :)
Francis Craig huh, I'd go for a energel in a pilot juice up. I like the overall design.
What about the pilot juice? They dry very fast, have smooth ink, and come in tons of vibrant colors.
I guess I hold the pen differently because I dont seem to have many issues with smudging ink
Mine is Pilot G2 1.0
Does the pentel energel liquid ink smudge when highlighting? I don't know if I should buy it!?
No G2? Those things are super reliable and super smooth as well...
Although I love uniball's ink pens, their signo white gel pen never worked for me. It skipped, dried out ect. I had to throw it out. I was surprised to see so many people recommend them/or have the pens work which is why I bough it in the first place lol. I switched to touchnew's gel pen and it worked perfectly for me.
Any of these pens compatible with Copic markers? Thanks
I Have The Zebra Sarasa Push Clip Pen 1.0mm
I really want the juice up 04 in black but they don’t sell it in the state’s and my dad won’t let me order out of country cuz of covid
I'm one of those people that HATES the uniball signo. I dunno if mine was a dupe, but mine skips and acts like an almost-running-out ball pen. Jet-pens, can you please tell me if mine could be a dupe? It says FINE at the top instead of the tip size, maybe that could be a clue?!
How is MUJI gel pen not in this
Ohh I want the Zebra Sarasa Dry Gel Pen but i don’t know where I can bought it.. (I know that you have your site, but I’m not American and I have Euro)
the top gel pen of all time in the pentel energel is the smoothest and fast-drying and I can use it on many papers
My favourite pen is the pilot frixion gel pen
1:01 We have like 7 boxes of those pens and I didnt know it is that good to be part of ur vid. Lolz
Zebra sarasa push clip is the one im using
I've used the Pilot FriXion Gel Pen for my test. Somehow, when i get my papers back, most of my writings turns yellow and i lose marks as the teacher can't see my writings. Stopped using it since then
The uni click gel is a underrated pen
istg, uniball signo and pentel energel are the best gel pen that i've ever tried
