Or you can click the name “exposure” once, and click + or - without hovering anywhere to change the exposure. Works on any other slider as well, you just have to click the name to register it. It’ll also make things faster if you only drag 1 corner pin when you crop, and use use opt, shift, maybe cmd to control all the other corner pins. I think there’s also an auto-exposure sync tool somewhere but I’m not sure how to use it.
Love your channel, your great advice has inspired my recently started UA-cam. Thanks so much, I love your quality content and you deserve a lot more subscribers
I’m hoping a future QTT might cover a good strategy for going through hundreds of images quickly without getting bogged down. I’m not a wedding photographer but I imagine the problem is the same. Dozens of similar images (kids plays, wildlife, etc.).
Sure thing man! Presets are super simple to make. They’re pretty much just a series of adjustments that you make and then want to be able to repeat. I’m going to put out some presets soon, but first I’m going to show how easy it is to make them!
Absolutely, anything that can save a few seconds per image adds up to a ton when you’re editing hundreds of images! I’ll get some of those images posted soon over on insta👍
Do you ever copy the adjustments you make to the first photo of a series (after applying the preset) and paste it to nearly identical photos like you had some here? Not sure if it would save you any time though with you working so fast, but just an idea :D Also, why the heck don't the awesome and helpful videos have a ton of views yet?! Keep up the good work man, I'm a huge fan!
Absolutely! Copy pasting settings to similarly shot images is one of the first things I do with a set. Maybe at some point I’ll just do a screen cast of a full edit to show the whole process of a shoot. Might be interesting! And thanks man! I’m just going to keep putting videos out and hoping the catch fire at some point!
Oh yeah, that would be awesome! I'm guessing a lot of us just get stuck using the same process we learn when we start using lightroom (or similar tools) so picking up tips and tricks like this is super useful. If you do a full edit you just go through your workflow without explaining everything in detail (or just explain it once :)) so it doesn't take you a long time and I think everyone could learn something new from it! Looking forward to it :) Ps: did you try the low budget noise cancelling headphones yet? Will there be a review in the future?
Using LR 2019-2020, I just click into the first field, adjust values using arrows, then ‘tab’ to the next field. Need to go back? ‘Shift’ + ‘tab’ takes you back to the last field. Idk if this works in LR Classic (I’m a relatively newer user and like new LR), but I’d assume it’ll work just the same in classic.
Love that Mikol! There’s a bunch of different ways to do it, and I love hearing how others edit their images. I’m a big mouse user, so the floating thing seems best for me right now. I’ll give that a try though!
Loved this, I love learning new things for applications you think you already know everything about, haha. Do you think you'd put up your presets for downloads? Also can't wait for the vlogs! Also, how is your riptide board? I'm thinking of getting an electric skateboard but I'm not sure, haha
I totally agree Clare! It’s so fun when you’ve been using an application for awhile and then you hear of a new shortcut to get things done faster! As for presets, I might at some point get them packaged up to use. These are the presets that I do all of my work with, but I would want to get them packaged up really well with good instructions on their use before putting them out there. I’ll keep you updated! And my Riptide is still going strong! I’ve tried a few other boards recently and the handles on the Riptide are the main selling point that keeps me from switching👍
Hi David! I have a question, I remembered watching one of your videos a while ago you were able to mount your GoPro on top of your camera in order to record and shoot photos. How did you get it all set up? Thanks

it might be silly question, but when you say Lightroom is that Adobo Lightroom ? or there are other Lightrooms ? I'm very new to photography, just getting into that

So many cool ways to use Lightroom! That’s my favorite thing about seeing how others edit. Picking up little tips and tricks here and there👍
Mind blown on the hover trick!😲😜
Love it Chris! Stoked that this was helpful man👍

Great Vid love your work
SUPER helpful!
Edit: first
High five to first!!! 👋
where (if) do you sell your presets?
Would you say that you could edit with a Chromebook
All depends on specs, but I for sure could!
Can you do a video on it
Gotta get my hands on one first!
0:20 What do you mean by "Maybe you're crazy enough to edit your own wedding images"? Do you not edit your photos after a wedding shoot?
Ahh smartphones.....ruining the natural flow of pants since 2007 ;D
Love the histogram tip....that does make way more sense
Hahaaa! Especially this dumb ass iPhone MAX with a pop socket on it! I’ll be back to a normal sized phone with the 12👍
@@DavidManningvlog or put it in the back pocket when taking family photos :D
I edit on an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil.... I don’t think I could ever do it with a mouse after doing it this way.
Rewatching this so i can make things even faster...lol
