Do 'male' roles have to be so robotic in their facial expressions? Can't they more subtle and wider range of expressions? It would make a difference to the performance.
P.s. In live stage performances usually the expressions have to be more obvious, as the audience is further away. So, do understand the acting e.g. facial expressions need to be more over-acted and simpler which can be fairly restricting. But this performance has been filmed and so the audience can see their actions, their expressions much more closely. Thus, there needs to be more subtleness, and greater array of nuanced expressions. If this was a filmed recording of a live stage show it wouldn't be so subtle....but this is a film. There does not appear to be a live audience.
老夫人唱得很好。声音听上去功底扎实。
红娘唱得不错,没有鼻音。
紅娘比老夫人還老
