    In this episode, John will discuss smoothie attachments that come with most Kuvings Juicers as well as the Nama J2 Juicer. You will learn the differences between these attachments, how they came about, and his opinions about these attachments.
    You will learn how to make a smoothie in the Nama J2 or Kuvings Auto10 when John demonstrates using the smoothie attachment in each machine.
    You will discover the inherent problems with blending in a Vitamix high-speed blender, including the noise generated as well as the oxidation. John will make a smoothie in a high-speed blender and show you the results.
    John will make smoothies in the Kuvings Auto10 and Nama J2 juicers so you can see how these kitchen appliances make smoothies.
    John will finally make a vacuum blended smoothie which is a Vitamix blender with the void-systems vacuum blending kit. You will learn why this method of making smoothies is best and grinds up all the ingredients best.
    Finally, John will compare all the different smoothies that were made using the same recipe, taste testing each smoothie and using a sieve to see how much pulp was put into each smoothie.

    I've purchased many appliances from John. I'm fortunate enough to have both the Nama J2 Juicer and the Tribest DynaPro Vacuum Blender which is a fantastic commercial blender with a 15 year home warranty. Check to make sure you're getting the updated Swedish made motor. John is king and deserves our support!

    I'm glad that I watched this video. I have the J1 Juicer which is time consuming, so I plan to eventually buy the J2 without the attachments. The smoothies from the juicers look bad, and by my surprise so did the one from the Vitamix. I have the Vitamix and my smoothies are well blended and silky smooth without froth. Maybe the blades are worn, and maybe it's the amount of liquid that you used. I don't use too much liquid in mine because I like thicker smoothies. I felt that was a lot of liquid for the little amount of food that you put in it. I don't know if it makes a difference with froth and air but, I also fill my blender to it's capacity since I blend for more than one person. I'm just really surprised with it looking like that. Thank you for many helpful videos that you make.

    Thank you for this video -the information is very helpful for me, as I was considering the J2 -Still using my Champion - Then I was so excited to see you share about the Void kit, yet disappointed to find out the price- IMO it's very expensive. 🥀 lots to think about. Thank you for your help with teaching us what are the plus 'and minus' behind these machines. 🌿🍃🍀

      I hope to make a champion vs nama j2 video in the future so people can learn the differences between these two juicer styles. Champion is no longer in business. While the machines are REALLY durable, they tend to oxidize the juice ALOT compared to modern slow juicers such as the Nama J2. While some of these products are expensive, I would ask you, "How much is your health worth"? That being said, I have also showed vacuum blenders that cost as low as $40 in some instances, because I want people to start vacuum blending so they can experience the difference. ua-cam.com/video/QEjtsedIbPM/v-deo.html

I very fortunate to buy an additional blade assembly and several other pieces so I am set up pretty well for now- The thing I really found helpful is what you share about how the juice oxidizes - that is HUGE and other than you I have not heard this addressed and it has been a very big issues and concern to me so I'm considering purchasing your hand vac with vac lids you shared you have for purchase in your Amazon store. I am thinking maybe better than nothing. Truly grateful for all you share. @@discountjuicers

    Hi,John! Thank you so much for another helpful video, I recently bought nama C2, all thanks to you for hard worked informative videos, I never owned a blender or a juicer till now at the age of pushing 60, but I want to turn my life around by incorporating more vegetables in my diet, and I'm glad I waited this far just following your videos for almost 10 years! I'm now making healthy juices and smoothies for the whole family everyday!
    My one question or request to you is how can I pull vacuum with the nama C2 for now until they come out with the attachment, should I get one of those electric vacuum puller like you mentioned in one of your C2 videos? I still love my brand new technology c2 machine, and I like to perfect it by vacuum blending.
    Of course I used your discount code to purchase this pretty beast machine as well, have a blessed day and always kudos to you!!😊😊

    Thinking about adding to my juicer collection and buying the Nama J2.. but one thing that puts me off is that they call it a batch juicer but it only has a 30min run time. I would have thought they would give it at least 1hr run time considering the fact they call it a batch juicer.
    Also John. I wanted to get the kuvings new vacuum blender when its available in the uk... but it seems to me like its very good as you haven't done many videos on it. When you love a product you do a ton of videos 😂.

      While Nama "recommends" 30 minutes, techincally there is no run time "limit". Normally when I batch juice, I dont juice for any less than 60 minutes in the Nama J2, and it has never failed me. I am only aware with the US market. Not sure if/when kuvings will release their models in other countries.

    Hi John, thanks for the info, 😊. I know how much you like the J2, and I saw your videos about C2. My question is if I want to buy juicer and blender, should I wait for nama to make it’s C2 blender vacuum then buy it? Or you think C2 blender is just not as good as vitamix vacuum blender? What do you truly suggest to a new buyer? Please

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  4 місяці тому +2

      That is a tough question. if it were me, I would get the C2 now, so I can juice with it like the J2, and then you can make traditionally blended smoothies in it now (non-vacuum). You can also "semi-vacuum" in the C2, see ua-cam.com/video/qwrjsfV75AY/v-deo.html where I show how you can get a light vacuum, now. I believe that Nama WILL come out with an attachment for the C2 to vacuum blend. I am just not sure when. When it comes out you can buy it as an add-on.

      Hey Christopher, if you love the C7000, no need to upgrade. Juice quality is about the same in the c7000 and J2. What will change is Ease of Use. It is easier to Use, and puts a bit less pulp in the juice. It can make banana sorbet with an optional attachment. See ua-cam.com/video/kC5wABNFpWM/v-deo.html

    Hi John, i want to get a vacuum blender for home use. Looking at getting between the regular kuvings (SV-500) or the current CB1000. If money is not an issue would you recommend the commercial one in terms of performance even with it’s shorter warranty?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  4 місяці тому +1

      Of the two, I prefer the CB1000. The performance is better than the SV500. I use the CB1000 currently as my go-to vacuum blender in my home. That being said, I am saddened that Kuvings only offers a 1 yr warranty on BOTH these models. While they both have built-in vacuum pumps, which makes it more convenient, the issue is that if the vacuum pump goes out in the base, it is not easily replaceable. The dynapro on the other hand, has a full 15 yr warranty and has a separate vacuum pump.

    • @eightofhearts
      @eightofhearts 4 місяці тому

      Oh wow! For some reason i thought the SV-500 had a longer warranty i don’t know where i got that from. I think it’s wasteful then incase they die off after a year it makes more sense for the commercial one since with restaurant, cafe or hotel use you’d already get your money back. Please do a video on the CB1000 vs The Dynapro. Thank you for all that you do.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  4 місяці тому +1

      @@eightofhearts Kuvings REDUCED the warranty length (quietly) because I feel they say a lot of machines coming back, and they were losing money(!) due to the internal vacuum pump failure and the machine easily sucked liquids into the motor when it was first released. It was later improved to improve this significantly. The CB1000 has more built in protection to prevent that from occuring.

      Good luck. Its winter time now so not much growing in vegas right now. Pressed For Juice has some of the best fresh pressed juice in town. The best farmers market is the Friday downtown farmers market, that actually brings in produce FRESH from California. Other farmers markets in Vegas simply resell "industrial" produce in many instances, with few exceptions, such as mushrooms and microgreens.

    Aside from the lower quality of the juicer made smoothies, i would never make a smoothie in my J2 because of the hassle to clean it. The vacuum blender is so much easier to clean. I didn't even take the strainer, "course hole screen", of the box. I think you could fashion a rubber plug for the bottom of the J2 screen to match the Kuvings, but i wonder how hard it was to clean the kuvings screen with all that pulp mashed into it.

      I have a special pre-release version of the void-systems lid, it hopefully will be out later this year. It absolutely pulls way more than the Kuvings CB1000. I believe even the normal Void Lid pulls more than the CB1000, personally based on observation.

      John can you convince void to make a lid that fits the vitamix rather than buying the whole craft. People like vitamix for a reason...it blends so smoothly, i don’t think voids blades can achieve vitamix consistency. Or am i wrong?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  4 місяці тому

      @@eightofhearts I have discussed this with void, they are unlikely unless you want to invest $$$ into their business since they would need to invest in tooling and a new design of the internal parts. The void blades are quite good, IMO fairly close to the vitamix results.

    The pulp may have came out the Nama, but it still was stuck all in the kuving, so what’s the difference between it coming out and staying in the juicer the pulp still wasn’t in the smoothie.. 😂

      The Nama Kicked out MORE pulp than what was left in Kuvings because it was able to get processed and ground up more, but it was not by much.

      To vacuum juice, you use a vacuum blender to first grind ingredients up and then use Alexas Bags to sieve out the juice. See ua-cam.com/video/CSyS8QJfMNs/v-deo.html where I demonstrate this.

      I would recommend getting the Nama C2 so you can juice and blend, and "kinda vacuum blend" as I show ua-cam.com/video/qwrjsfV75AY/v-deo.html for now. Hopefully later this year Nama will offer a vacuum blending upgrade for the C2. I did confirm with the Nama CEO that is currently an active project for them.

    That guy needs to:
    - adjust the background: to put some pictures of fruits and vegs. Otherwise, it feels like he shoots in a hospital;
    - upgrade the sound equipment. It sounds poor and outdated;
    - demonstrate how he washes the juicers not just talk about his thoughts about how difficult it would be washed.
    Then the number of viewers will increase

      Thanks for your comments. I know for most people vacuum blending is a foreign concept, and many people may not "believe" in it, which is fine, since each person can think what they would like. That being said, I did invest in a dissolved oxygen meter and in this video ua-cam.com/video/TI1aV0hSkE8/v-deo.html I measure the dissolved oxygen in each blended mixture. While the mixture is exposed to oxygen after the blend is not as critical as ALL the OXYGEN being blended into the mixture when the mixture is being blended in traditional blenders. Why does this make a difference? Nutrients degrade during the blend, but more importantly more quickly after blending if not vacuum blending as proven by published scientific studies. www.kspbtjpb.org/journal/view.html?uid=2217&&vmd=Full

    So in conclusion the Vita mix suks ..due to oxygen screwing up nutrients ..

    • @protochris
      @protochris 4 місяці тому

      I've read studies that says the nutrients don't diminish more than 10-15% in a blender after 24 hours. If you drink it within 20 minutes it should be sufficient. Even the VOID system can't stop any oxidation that begins once you expose it to open air, and will start tasting rancid. The real VOID system advantage is that it would give the smoothie a cleaner flavor.

      I teach GOOD, better, BEST. Some people are fine with "good" and blending without a traditional blender. I personally strive to do the "BEST" and vacuum blend. I wish I could give vacuum blended vs non-vacuum blended samples to people to drink. I wholeheartedly belive that 9 out of 10 people would prefer the vacuum blended mixture. I have sold hundreds of vacuum blenders and from the feedback I get everyone loves it, and won't go back. That being said I had one customer return it because she preferred the taste of traditionally blended smoothies. That being said you may want to consider the recent polyphenol oxidase study, that clearly the oxygen in the blender carafe is greatly increasing PPO so that berries that are traditionally blended show NO benefit in human blood.. pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2023/fo/d3fo01599h

      @@discountjuicersyou are an honest man Sir. However traditional blending has completely transformed my life and thousands of others according to Dr. Brooke Goldner. My blood work is amazing thanks to traditional blending and my skin and hair glisten. I implement flax seeds and or Chia seeds.
