I was using euphoria but switched to a metamorphosis build. I'm using the Ursine set with it and picked 7 decoctions to keep. I use 2 and activate the other 5. I'm pretty much unkillable and can easily whirl my way through crowds and rend bosses down. I use levity and cat school perk to help with stamina regeneration. I would rank it higher than euphoria even. It may seem cumbersome to activate the 5 decoctions... but you can axii Roach repeatedly before combat to get them all. Use the light school final skill to add effects to enemies or swords with poison/burn/bleed on them (e.g., viper silver) to add them simply by swinging light attacks. Metamorphosis is quite OP on a sign build, easily grants you all decoction buffs in a few seconds, continual regen depending on your crafted decoctions, plus you rarely have to use potions anymore. damage wise, if you're going signs on metamorph, you don't have to bother with further increasing sign intensity since you're doing percent damage from aard, yrden and igni burns which finishes foes easily, disables foe movement, and you can just use quen to return high damage back at foes or another way to regain health. Euphoria just goes all damage, too reliant on decoctions and potions, it's quite bad for a sign build, but a must try on a melee severance build. piercing cold needs adrenaline now on its build now, and magic sensibilities' weakness is survivability if you don't have quen up at all times, and the magic crits on sign use feels weak since the main damage source from igni comes from the burning critical effect and not the wave of fire nor the flamethrower alt sign cast, the zap from yrden's alt casting, and adjusted damage on aard's percent based damage.
@@shanedsouza189 if you're spamming aard through the griffin armor you'll notice that each aard deals damage based on an enemy's current hp, sign intensity increases that maximum percentage but only by a little bit which will be shown at your stats screen from inventory, buffing up with the yrden sign bonus on griffin set will likely bump up sign intensity to around 300% if you also have sign intensity runes on your swords, which is quite enough to help you finish deathmarch difficulty. And if you end a fight when you aren't at full health, you can just spam a sign a couple of times to top yourself off. You can just axii roach to even proc the decoctions before a fight if you feel like it, but it's not even required because they stack up stupid fast anyway. The rest of my build is on pure sword damage and ursine armor. I kill anything in a couple swings of the sword and am nearly impossible to kill, it's so satisfying. Idk about piercing cold. It was reworked and for example if you don’t have at least 1 full adrenaline point you have a 0% chance of freezing an opponent
Tbh I dig the second chance mutation lol I love the animation it does, also I don’t know how some of y’all like to spam attacks or abilities or potion/decotions, takes the fun out of the game imo but to each their own. It’s more fun and challenging as you need to keep avoiding enemies from damaging you.
Favorite right now is a full Griffin set magic sensibilities sign build with entanglement. Yrden magic trap is really fun to use. Quick sign casting too.
Smh at ranking Conductors of magic lower than magic sensibilities. Sign intensity starts to scale poorly in new game plus, whereas a flat damage buff to your signs is invaluable.
I'm confused as to how Toxic Blood is worse than Retribution. The latter offers only a 30% chance to return a portion of damage. Toxic Blood always returns damage and the amount can get pretty high if you're running high toxicity, well over 100%.
Mutated skin is my favorite. It makes me tanky and not worry about dying. so i have to increase my damage to compliment it. For me it mutated skin plus bear set is the best build.
I can use 3 decoctions by myself already and another 5 decoctions make me a unkillable god xD its so op. Especially with the bear armor you alre almost unkillable even in deathmarch. I mean i use 8 decoctions at the same time
A lot of this has to do with your particular style of play, but I'd say this was accurate. I favor piercing cold, with a fairly heavy sign build focusing on Aard, Yrden, and a little in Quen, because I'm also using the griffin armor set. However, I can certainly see how Euphoria could work. Especially with a heavy alchemy build, but I'd have to change my style to use it effectively.
Mutated Skin+ Ursine+ Protective Coating+ Arachas and Ekkimara Decoction = Good luck trying to kill Geralt. Add Resolve and Undying Skills and you are invincible. Synergy, Killing Spree and Hunter Instinct will make up for not having Euphoria. Elation and Retribution for Enchantments. I would say its the best mutation since next Gen Patch, since you are 100% guaranteed to win every battle, and there's plenty of skills that can Boost damage high enough that you dont need Euphoria. That said, its a boring build whereas Euphoria make all your signs work well.
Agree. I just did a MQ run on Death March with low level gear, in first person, no fast travel, no lock-on, and with no HUD(mostly). I did check the HUD a few times during boss fights that lasted a long time, to make sure I was doing damage to them.
Personally, I'd have ranked Mutated Skin much more higher, yes it's kinda pointless if you are using Ursine, but it's a very valuable mutation for everyone else, not only it gives you more freedom with placing red and green mutations in the extra slots but when paired with Protective Coating and Razor Focus, it's a guaranteed 30% damage reduction on any fight, which is godly when wearing any armor other than Ursine. At the very least I would have been ranked it 6 or even in the top 5.
Also Cat Eyes is now actually viable since next gen patch. Id say if you go school of the cat you might want to take this mutation. Flood of Anger fixes all of your sign intensity problems and your attack power is already insanely high from synergy and all those combat skills.
I'm sure you weren't playing conductor of magic right because I'm absolutely imba, casting 360 Ard and 360 igni. Throw In a Yrden and quen for Insurance. Griffin gear ofc,
Build towards all the sword and adrenaline then grab the runeword for adrenaline on kill, that way your constantly amping your damage with adrenaline and magic and as your attack raises it dumps into your magic
Metamorphosis is my favorite with the Manticor witcher set - then euphoria. I am interested to see if piercing cold has been patched, because it didn't seem to deliver on damage in the end game.
Btw if you can build heavy into crit (like using cat school) that crit magic mutation is disgusting, the damage to your swords and magic can go sky high.
is there a cooldown for switching mutation? or maybe it's locked when you fight? By those questions I would like to know that if I'm fighting and close to dying, knowing that my current active mutation is X (anything except Second life), can I quickly switch to Second life and use its effect?
Tbh sign builds have always been my go to because Alchemy builds just seemed way too niece, and pure Combat builds just seem too boring since oh look, I can insta-kill this enemy with a few swings or you just keep swingin' and swingin' and swingin' until everything's dead. Meanwhile Sign builds are just way more fun.
I'm sorry I'm still new and I'm at level 28 but does this mutagen tree skill something exist in switch too? Should I do blood and wine first to unlock it?
This mutations are unlocked with blood and wine expansion with some mission or something, i dont remenber. But yes, you can have this mutations on switch if you have the dlc
something that took me a while to figure out was that you can only put specific ability on the 4 extra slots. if you keep unlocking mutation , would you be able to put any type of abilities on those slots. or the slots are lock to only what the mutation allows ? how do you make enemies explote ?
Could it theoretically be possible to pair ursine armor with euphoria and make it effective? Just finished the main game on death march and moved on to hearts of stone and boy oh boy are the bosses tough lmao
Yes, you can do a build like that. Personally, I would use Ursine/Manticore chest Nilfguardian guardsmen gauntlets Manticore boots and trousers. with levity enchantment on chest.
Just saw your recommendations about stream elements mercury sponsorships,, just want to know, ist legitimate sponsorships or scam? Thanks waiting for your reply thanks
My friend, please give Conductors of Magic another look. Because other than a perfect Piercing Cold build, it does the highest damage. I mean it. Put it together, oil and wield your sword, and have full adrenaline. I promise you, when you click on sign intensity, and look at your damage numbers, you’re going to see each sign listed for thousands of damage.
Reading those numbers doesn’t take any consideration into the fact the sensibilities makes your signs crit for up to 600% crit damage. So that sign damage number you see is higher sure. But take the number times 6, and that’s what the signs will now be criting for. It’s not even close to as strong as sensibilities if your using igni. And for aard piercing cold the extra 7k plus damage it does scales based on enemy now and wrecks enemies completely
@chuckparker3664 conductors of magic can increase sign damage 10x+ WAY more damage than crits, which only happen 2/3rds of the time, further lowering magic sensibilities dps. Test it out for yourself conductors of magic is the best mutation for a pure sign build hands down

Euphoria with Aerondight and ekimara potion. Mow down enemies with decent health boost. Just don't get one shot and you can outlast anyone.
I did not unlock the "turn and face the strange" after blood run quest…
Those who says metamorphosis is weak really dont understand the true power of it, IT is number 1 mutation not euphoria
How do I open those mutations? I just did the mutations and they are locked.
is there a cooldown for switching mutation? or maybe it's locked when you fight? By those questions I would like to know that if I'm fighting and close to dying, knowing that my current active mutation is X (anything except Second life), can I quickly switch to Second life and use its effect?
Very good thanks a lot 👍
0:47 listen closely to the music. doesnt that sound similar? xd
How to open all slots #12 after completing the mutant tress
I don’t know where to put my skill points in the combat line to do the last few mutations any idea guys
Didn't know I'd get blessed with a Starfox reference in a Witcher 3 video. I've probably heard "do a barrel roll" hundreds of times in game.
@anderfrias1311 yeah reply is too late already completed the story😆
@@peachbloom6114 🥲
something that took me a while to figure out was that you can only put specific ability on the 4 extra slots.
if you keep unlocking mutation , would you be able to put any type of abilities on those slots. or the slots are lock to only what the mutation allows ?
how do you make enemies explote ?
Each mutation allows different types of slots, the video shows.
Enemies can explode with skills, a mutation, and a Runewright enchantment.
Is that quest name a random ch-ch-ch-ch-changes reference?
Hi, can you make a video on monster trophies??..which is the best or which to use?.…...
Depends where you at in the game. While leveling I'd run one that gives XP. Then switch to bonus gold.
@@norzza Can I sell those trophies, right?
Yup. King of the Swine's Herd is the best because of the 15% gold but the EXP ones are valid.
adrenaline rush mutation is not working with me why?
Played the game for year and never knew that was mutations. I feel like an idiot.
Could it theoretically be possible to pair ursine armor with euphoria and make it effective? Just finished the main game on death march and moved on to hearts of stone and boy oh boy are the bosses tough lmao
Yes, you can do a build like that.
Personally, I would use Ursine/Manticore chest
Nilfguardian guardsmen gauntlets
Manticore boots and trousers. with levity enchantment on chest.
How do I best increase my crit chance?
I realy like bloodbath. It works great in combination with whirl.
Feline set + Whirl + bloodbath = Spin to win!
@@norzza Well to tell you the truth I was actually useing Skellige armor.😁
Just saw your recommendations about stream elements mercury sponsorships,, just want to know, ist legitimate sponsorships or scam? Thanks waiting for your reply thanks
Howdy, it's legitimate. I've worked with Stream elements in the past 👍
Wait... Sword damage bonuses like oils and adrenaline points count for CoM?
@chuckparker3664 conductors of magic can increase sign damage 10x+ WAY more damage than crits, which only happen 2/3rds of the time, further lowering magic sensibilities dps. Test it out for yourself conductors of magic is the best mutation for a pure sign build hands down
Theres no way you put Metamorphosis on number 5
fr
Because he don't know how to use metamorphosis
I wish more people try using metamorphosis. When combined with delayed recovery, it's amazing.
Piercing cold.
No se te entiende nada. Copón!
Magic sensibilities
P.S Will you make a guide on the Enchantments of the Hearts of Stone expansion?
Not a bad idea, I'll see if I can come up with an interesting idea for the Runewright vendor :)
