Yesssss!!!! Loved the video. Glad someone finally talked about this. A lot of naturals say not to put heat on your natural. Yes, heat is drying but the key to preventing it is to make sure the hair is properly moisturized. Even when I straighten my hair I make sure to use a good heat protectant, moisturizing leave-in conditioner and seal it all in with a light oil.
I am REALLY tenderheaded I have to do my box braids for my first day of school and my hair got matted and dry after i blow dried and this helped me THANK YOU

I've been using a humecant and grease to keep my hair moisturized during this winter and it's been going well, but it could also be due to the fact that I keep my hair wrapped up when I'm out and about because it is pretty dry outside. COLD but dry. I'll have to try what you demonstrated in this video when I blow dry my hair later on in the year.

Yo Nezzi, how you feel about roller sets? For me I find that the perfect roller set does most of the work for the hair strands. As for the roots, you can add a warm comb, or you could start out blow drying the roots and then roller set the rest. It's a miracle once you get the roller set perfect. You don't have to keep it curled you can def braid it up but I realize that the hair part is done, after that you do your roots, edges and nape and you're golden...
I think roller setting is a great idea. It's just that I'm less likely to do it. It looks daunting and all-dayish to do and I look for quik, easy and short process styles. I like to be in my head no more than 1.5 hours at the max.

the results were very very nice. when you said missy poo that was too funny. your hair is so thick you probably need two overlapping caps to go on it when you condition it. love the music by the way!
Thank you for your compliments! Girl, when somebody calls you, Missy Poo, you have really messed up! lol Yeah, it was super thick for some reason and having 2 caps will make things, better. I used, to use 2 caps, but, I wanted the sessions to be done. I was tired!
I was at the nail shop many years ago and the nail tech dropped one of the tips on the floor and proceeded to apply it to my natural nail I freaked out and said no please use a clean one not that one …I could tell she didn’t want to but she did I never went back to that shop
Ohhh, Ms. Nezi back with another video! I was screaming at you when you put that cap on- I just _knew_ that was spider hanging down, but it wasn't. 2022 years to blow dry .. you're a mess!🤣
I was tripping off that knotty ball hanging from my cap, too, when I was editing the video. I said, Wow! That looks like a spider hanging from my head! I can imagine you screaming at me, through the camera as if I can hear you! LMBO Yes, it like all those years, blow drying my hair. It takes a long time to do my hair in anything, I do:( Thank you, Calisa:)
I don't moisturize my hair, after, I blow dry it. Moisturizers have water in them and that's why our hair starts reverting. I just use a little hair grease or a lite spray oil and that's it. I don't worry about moisture when it's blow dried. I just enjoy the momment and add moisturizer to my hair, when in it's kinky state.
So before you braided it there was nothing added since blow drying? If so that's great! Also u said blow dried natural but description says u only blow dry like 3 times/yr so how do u get blow dried look without it? I blow dry 2/mth! 😮
Fee Fee Yes, that's correct! There was no product added to my hair, since blow drying it. When I added oil to my hair in this video, 3 days later, it was my first product. As far as being a blow dried natural, I say that, because, I use heat in my hair a few times a year. If you were to see my hair in person, you can tell that my hair looks not that kinky or slightly straight. People ask me sometimes, you use heat on your hair? and I say, yes. So, although I don't blow dry, often, I still use heat. Most Naturals Don't use any heat. I don't have anything to make my hair look blow dried.
NeziNapps akaNezi yes I never can get my hair to finally lay/fall so I can cut my own ends. It's been 3 years. My picture was my attempt to strengthen my hair 😂. = stretched Afro. I'm off the next two days 🤞🏽 I hope it works.
No, I do not use a heat protector while blow drying my hair. Heat protectors block the heat, which, slows me down tremendously. It takes me about 45 minutes or so, to do my whole head. If I use a blocker, it will take way longer. My blow dryer is not that hot. The wattage is 1600 or 1800, so the heat won't damage my hair.
Chrissy Glass Yeah, it helps, temporarily. It'll kink up, if it's not all the way straight. I think it depends on how kinky it is. So for my hair right, now, it'll stay stretched because I have it braided in single plaits, but, if I take down my braids, it's going to draw up.. When my beautician blow dried it, it stayed straighter/stretched, cause, she used higher heat and better technique. Some of use bands to keep it stretched, too.
I didn't use a moisturizer to blow dry my hair. I, only, used the moisturizing conditioner to condition my hair, which left my hair moisturized, giving the feeling of moisturize hair while wet. In other words, after I rinsed my hair, I blow dried it, immediately.
Thank you so much! I've had lengthy hair, but no, it's never been this long. I never knew how to take care of it, until, I got into my 40's. I started taking care of my hair at 42 years old.
NeziNapps akaNezi How often do you wash your hair and what stretching techniques do you use? Your hair appears heat trained the ends at least did you used to blowdry your hair more often in the past?
Alicia Salmon Lately, I've been shampooing my hair every 2 to 3 weeks, where as, before, I used to shampoo it every 6 to 9 weeks. That's when I was depressed, though. You are correct, about me, using heat in my hair. I blow dry around 2 to 3 times a year and flat iron once a year, because, I trim my ends while my hair is straight.

Hi, Sheila! Using blue magic grease in the castor oil, will weigh the hair down and make it hard for the tool you use, not glide through. Plus, the heat will melt the grease and you will become a hot greasy mess. So, the answer is, yes, but, you may not like the results.
No, I do not blow dry weekly. As a matter of fact, I haven't blow dried my hair since this video, which is a whole year. I blow dry no more than 3 times a year.
So, let me understand. You have bad hair and the products I used won't work for your bad hair? In other words, you need bad hair products to match your bad hair. Got it!
@@NeziNappsakaNezi No, im saying is due hair types, the product you use will not have the same effect. Your hair type would still curl with just some water or Wave Noveau moisturizer but its not the same for other types of hair. You know what im saying is true or else we wouldnt need perm, wigs or these curls. Dont twist words since no matter how some of us put this stuff on, it would never look like yours.
