Louisville was a town that I had no idea of how nice it is, and how the natives are a friendly bunch worth knowing. As always, thanks for sharing your adventures and giving us ideas for our own.
So glad to see that you made it to my hometown. We love to show off all of the Louisville activities, and there is so much to see all around our area. We like to trek to Paducah and Metropolis too. If you’ve not seen it, there is a historic house, Locust Grove, near Brownsboro Road that was also owned by members of the Clark family.
Ah-I loved how you started the video talking about how beautiful the Bluegrass area of Kentucky is. I agree with you, it is one of the most scenic and beautiful areas of the whole country. They really ought to make it a National Preserve.
22:31, "No visit to Kentucky is complete without visiting at least one distillery." Great comment and so true! Another wonderful video Robert! Thanks so much!
Hi Robert, I just subscribed to your channel. My son is autistic and is in peace watching your videos. He loves road trips. He can’t subscribe, so I did it and activated the bell for me to guide him on your new videos. PS: He watches your videos over and over and also the adds in full 😁.
I lived in Louisville for a few years, I love it, it's a lovely place to live. I was fortunate to be able to experience the "Thunder Over Louisville" and also the "Pegasus Parade" it was fun seeing some of my old stomping grounds downtown, I worked off Fourth Street in the "Starks Building" as an Administrative Assistant. I miss it, I would love to go back and visit some day. Thanks for sharing this.
Great video..... memories of Lewis & Clark expedition... It was very nice to see you with the ....family.....congrats.... keep safe...... and see you on the road....Love MOM
Robert - I got a suggestion for your truck, etc. keys for your steering wheel column: Put a large square thick felt just below the key ignition area and the "knocking" keys on the column area. I did that some 10 - 15 years ago on my 2004 Subaru Forester (which I still have). I had an aunt & uncle who lived in Louisville for many decades...they even lived through the " Great Ohio Flow" of the 1930's. I love Kentucky. One of my favorites is Pleasant Hill (Shakertown) . The campus of Asbury Theology College in Wilmore, Kentucky is a very pretty place too. My wife and I were in the western part of Kentucky last year (late September of 2021) very neat. We enjoy the shows, always. Stay well and safe travels, Robert !
This is awesome, Robert!! Just eating up the scenery, the narration, the always appreciated historical info, & yayyyy, a tiny shot from the bourbon trail too! Thank you so much & Goooooood Morning ✌ 💘 😎 🏕 🔥 🍻
You went to so many places I've been in this video! We frequented Big Bone Lick when we lived in NKY for about a decade. We're down in Elizabethtown now, so Louisville is where we go for anything "city" related. My son also plays football in Bardstown, so we are there all the time. It's super to see things we haven't yet, and through your eyes! I was also floored by your Who Is John Galt reference. That was a paradigm-shift book for me.
Consistently good content and wow what a beautiful city, it presents well!Always a surprise to see these places that to me have only ever been a name on a map, or viewed on the “Over America” series. There must have been some long hours squeezed in to finish this while traveling, so.. time to go and enjoy that much deserved break, enjoy!
really enjoyable. Your tour of Louisville made me want to visit the city someday. looking forward to watching the next installment of the Louis and Clark expedition.
Hello Traveling Robert 😊😊🍔🍔🎸🎸, This was an OUTSTANDING visit to Louisville. Just a couple of places that were missed and one was Mohammed Ali Center, and the pedestrian bridge across the Ohio River to Clarksville, IN. OUTSTANDING VIDEO ROBERT👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍! Louisville definitely has a lot to offer.
Love your Louis and Clark experience! It was a great surprise when I found it on your channel. Robert, I bet if you ask your cousin Juan he might have visited Madison Indiana for a festival at some time? I have lived in Madison for the last 20 yrs, and we have the stunning Clifty Falls with a campground that I think you would like, as well as one right downtown on the Ohio River, just across the bridge from Milton, KY. Come see us sometime! We had vintage mini campers earlier this summer and I hear they had a great time.
Now you are close to me! I live 1 hour from Louisville in the countryside of Kentucky. I have been to the Fall of Ohio, and they are awesome! I do not like to drive into Louisville though. Too many one-way streets. The country life is for me now!
Ah! I started watching your videos last year when I was planning a few trips out west. I can't believe you were here! That's definitely why I smelled burgers the day after Memorial Day. 😉 Next time... if you want local(but not bourbon), check out one of our breweries(we have good beer too). You were within 1-2 miles of about 10 of them. 😂 Hope you enjoyed your time!
Hey Robert, enjoyed the visit to Louisville. I've driven through the area several times but never had time to stop and explore (you know how that is, don't you?) Now I have to get back there if only to see the giant Louisville Slugger! Enjoy your hiatus -- looking forward to seeing the journey continue in a couple of weeks. Happy trails! p.s. the smoky sky in the background of your promo reminds me of the awful air quality I experienced in that area a couple of years ago. What a drag it is being in "Big Sky" country with such poor visibility!
So that means you'll find your way to Great Falls, MT? There is a great museum dedicated to the L&C expedition, also if it's not too late in the season, try the Gates of the Mountains if it's still open, it's near Helena.
Louisville is a city I have never spent much time in. I did a long time ago visit the factory where the make the Louisville slugger bats which was at the time in Indiana.
i highly recommend the dinner train in bardstown. i really enjoyed it and food was amazing on it. i also love that park in clarksville. views are amazing.
The hiking trail at Louisville South KOA eventually goes past a pond at in open field that has a bench, that has fish and further down the trail you hit a river and a cave.
Looks like you were in Louisville about 2 weeks or so after we left Louisville. Nice video, and looks like it was a good day hanging out on the drift bar, very interesting.
Hermoso lugar.Hermoso país. Cada lugar es para disfrutar.Equilibrio perfecto entre naturaleza y urbanismo.La importancia de los museos.Una linda manera de conocer la historia.
Falls of Ohio fossil bed 95% covered during high water as on your visit. Normally fall is good time but higher than average water this year. Kentucky Bluegrass region became horse raising region due to high calcium content in soil, more durable horses. Big deal in days before Amazon delivered horse vitamins
Hi. Help please. My wife and i love your video travels. Would you be so kind as to tell us what you are using to make your animated maps. We are bicycle riders and want to share our routes. Could you help please. We have Ae. Thank you Robert
Stupid question. I see people giving you donations. New to this utube thing. How would I do so. Your awesome bother. Since I can't right now travel like you do I've been hitting State Parks. Love your videos. It's like I'm there with you. Warren Spring Hill Florida.

Forgot to mention that I think the Falls in KY are a little more like rapids too. ;)

I am going to have to read a Lewis and Clark book!

Robert, why are you showing up at places that are closed or so close to closing all the time?
I was wondering if you have a app you use to find all the cool things you do along your travels.
Hey
Did you get rid of teflon. Fry pan for stainless or copper

U should have stop by the waterfront in Louisville man.
no livechat today? hmmm I price in this time of my Friday evening for Our meeting :/
ROBERT ! HOW DID YOU GET THROUGH THE STORM?
Is the Louisville Slugger museum only about MLB or also MiLB, Indy Leagues, College, and Collegiate?
I think they make bats for everybody.
@@TravelingRobert I bet they do, but what I saw in your video is that the museum only highlights MLB. Or am I wrong?
Go Dodgers⚾🏁
ЛАЙК !!! 😊
On to Henderson, on to Paducah, on to St Louis, ONWARD WEST ! 🤠👉
