- This is a follow-up to the follow-up to a follow-up video that I compiled from the comments of my last video. I'm really excited about sharing this one and pretty proud of producing another video. I really appreciate everyone's input that made this possible. I hope this inspires other regular Joe's like myself to do some work on your vehicle antenna mounting. I hope my future videos continue this same format where I continue to make follow-up ones with everyone's recommendations.
Most items from my videos and items I personally own are linked in my website below.

Those beads are the bomb!
Beautiful installation!
You should be very proud of yourself.
I know that i am very proud for you!
Amazing attention to detail!
Thanks so much! It's always difficult to get out and enjoy our hobby, but I'm happy to share and really appreciate your feedback!
Keep doing what you enjoy! I enjoy your enthusiasm and teachings. Happy Pride Month! Proud you finally came out!
Hahaaaa! Don't ask, don't tell! You're the man. You are def my #1 supporter. I'm lucky to have you on my side brother.
Pride is a mortal sin
And for atheists is boasting still a nasty character trait
nice vid! Excellent wiring
Thanks, man! Work in progress!
You the man
I added a 6 inch solid riser to my 102" whip. Most installations utilize a 6 inch heavy duty spring.
I am not familiar with just how much additional length that your very cool puck set up adds...
Your Nano VNA should help you determine if you need any more length to bring it closer to resonance....
Your SWRs are pretty good but what are your other numbers? ie reactance and impedance?
That's a great question. And I have no idea the R and I... I've never tried it. I believe you gave me another idea for the next video! Lol. I do have a 10-inch solid aluminum riser as well I used for a different setup that got me where I needed to be. But it definitely doesn't work here. My puck set adds 5inches from the black base. I also used a one inch additional riser to total 108" from the black base, but it didn't make the SWR happy. I had to take it back off. Maybe the black base already adds another inch. Idk. Again, I really appreciate the thoughts, and I will make a video addressing this and mention you for the thanks!
Been Waiting for this Update!
Really!? Simple comments like this motivate me to do more and a better job. Thank you.
@@GiantSequoiaNation ofcourse man, I bought NGK Resistor Type Spark splugs yesterday to see if I can make the noise floor Lower, Seems like I bit off more than I can chew with Fords Triton V8 4.6L...
Will be though but it's definitely doable.
keep it up boss
I forgot about those spark plugs. Let me know if you notice a difference. Can't hurt right?
@@GiantSequoiaNation update: I replaced 6 of 8 Sparkplugs on my Mobile and The Alternator But No Dice...
The Mobile Does Pick up now hahah
last things to change would be the Battery and Ignition Coils and Hopefully that'll get all the engine Noise out of my CB but it's looking like a Lost Cause at this Point.
Even if I were to Replace the Coils and Battery and the noise is still there, then the Fuel Pump would be the next thing...
Engine Noise Is a Whole Lot Of Chasing I'll tell you what.
@Q12_ I'm telling ya. I'm in the same boat. I did find a low pass filter on amazon, and I believe it's called. It wasn't more than like $10. I heard that helps, too. I will report back with that. I think it goes in line on the red wire to the radio.
Better, ground,.
At feedpoint.
Swr,.
I would be hard pressed to ground better than I have short of drilling through the roof. Watch my grounding and bonding video. If there something I missed. Please let me know.
