For me, the moment when Zoro catches Robin is made more powerful by the fact that he was the last hold out in accepting her as a crewmate. At the beginning of the arc he was still keeping an eye on her and didn’t object to her on the crew only because his captain wanted her on the crew. But now we see how much he’s come to accept Robin, not just for Luffy’s sake, as he not only catches her but gives one of his most furious looks at Eneru for daring to harm her. Quite the turnaround and one of the reasons I love that Skypeia gives us so much focus on the Strawhats’ relationships.
i love how much faith Luffy has in Zoro, that he was so shocked that they were defeated; and that interaction with Zoro catching Robin is such a pivotal moment in Zoro's development and acceptance of Robin Zoro is my favorite character, and part of it is his code of honor and how he interacts with people, like when he dueled Mihawk, and accepted his fate; and how he gave Eneru the stinkeye for attacking Robin
The way Robin calls the crew by their nicknames instead of their actual names is just another beautiful detail in this masterpiece that will make a whole lot more sense as you move through the story with these characters :)
“I think this is one of the few resemblances that Oda hasn't actually confirmed and it basically became a meme that god Enel looks like rap god eminem and thus people just began treating it as fact, be it jokingly or not. I'm actually surprised no one asked him about it in an SBS so far considering way more obscure characters were asked about.” Quote from a Reddit thread. I mean I feel like there are too many coincidences for it to just be a meme lol
It does not really need to be confirmed or acknowledged. Hell there are two unconfirmed Steve Tyler look alikes as well. Not like he confirms any of them, except maybe a few Japanese stars being a source of inspiration for Aokiji and later characters. The SBS stuff is still edited content from publishers, they'll always cover themselves legally
I think Skypea was a learning arc for Oda. He may have had plans for it and symbols he wanted executed but he needed to figure a better structure for larger arcs like this one. It isn’t just the anime that had some pacing problems-the manga too- but by the end I think it fell more into stride.
11:05 I was watching One Piece through a fansub group called Kaizouku-Fansubs back in the day. They were in their death throes as a group when subbing Skypiea and were down to releasing an episode every 3 months or so. I got to this exact cliffhanger and could not cope with waiting months to find out what happened. I started reading the manga there and then and didn't stop reading until I was fully caught up, at the time. Chapter 430.
The 'sea prism stone' that nullifies devil fruit powers had been mentioned multiple times before. The tip of Smoker's Jutte is made of it. Crocodile's jail cage in the basement of Rain Dinners was made of it. The dude who tried to defeat Ace (in a filler-ish episode on the way to Rainbase) tried to use it...
It's not filler-ish, it's 100% filler, in canon Ace left the SH immediately after destroying the BW ship, he didn't go through the desert with them. That being said they've seen iirc so it is worth pointing out that use of Sea Prism Stone too.
"Having all hopes dashed is the same as death itself." Enel is cooking here... I feel like a lot of people don't pay attention to what he says because he has a god complex. But the truth is, we have to pay attention to his words..Nami said, "What is this guy talking about?"... Implying the author knows what Enel is saying sounds foolish... But the author is still writing them, implying there is a truth to his words... like Ange said, he feels grandiose, like a dbz villain... That's because, until this day, I feel like he is one of the villains who represent the story better when it comes to the lore... It's a monumental, foolish and grand story, like Enel's dream
The new skill of Zoro, "San-Jū-Roku-Pon-Do-Hō", can be translated literally as "Thirty-Six Troubles Phoenix" or "Thirty-Six Afflictions Phoenix." Actually originating from Buddhist scriptures: In short, humans have 36 types of afflictions, which, when multiplied by the three periods of time-past, future, and present-result in 108 afflictions(kleśa).
Finally, Luffy is out. It's common for Oda to keep Luffy trapped or unable to fight for almost the whole fighting part of most arcs (at least at the beginning of the series). He is too strong to be free; he would beat all the enemies without a problem. Just like in Arlong Park, he was stuck with that rock on his feet and underwater. In almost all the arcs, he is out of the fight because of something stupid, so the other characters can shine and fight.
as insane as eneru's power seems, lightning in one piece doesnt work quite the same as the real world, its strong, but not as strong as if a real lightning would hit and kill you, but then again zoro and wyper are also basically inhumanly strong so they can get zapped by million volts more than once to go down compared to anyone else who basically got one shot
I want to see a reaction to a Chinese anime. I recommend "Soul Land". It's an anime that makes people more interested in Chinese anime. The anime is very popular in many countries. The 3D images, especially in the later episodes, are very clear and beautiful. There are 263 episodes in total. Near the end, skip episodes 260-263 and watch episode 265, which is a movie episode that has additional scenes as a full episode. I really want to see a reaction to this story. You can try watching the anime's OST.
Ngl, Wyper always pissed me off in this arc. Sure, he has some cool moments, and I admire his tenacity and his will to go so far for his ancestors/his heritage. But if he just had a TINY bit more chill and just talked to any of the strawhats ONCE instead of attacking them immediately, all of this could've been easier. I'm convinced, if Zoro (or especially Robin or Nami) knew about the prism stone before, they actually could've worked together and killed/defeated Eneru.
agreed, but there's gotta be something like that for the fights to have tension. if garp wasn't a terrible teacher we could have had haki pre timeskip and it would be an easy sweep
Why would Wyper talk to the Strawhats? Remember, when he first figured out they're the blue sea people, he told them to leave. Then eventually Luffy told him they're there to steal his ancestors' gold. For over 400 years, his people have been trying to get their land back. Now that there's an opening for them to attack Enel, there's also some pirates trying to steal from their land too. He's already dealt with years of people stealing from his ancestors, why would he talk to some pirates who also want to steal from his ancestors. I get that WE'RE aware that the Strawhats are decent people, but he rightfully sees them as being no different than Enel and Gan Fall.
That’s a terrible read on wyper’s character he had no reason to align with the straw hats if they’re goal don’t coexist it was only at a desperate situation where enel was in front of them where they all realize that to get what they each want they have to beat enel but before that the straw hats were trying to steal his ancestors belonging i dont know why he would just buddy up with them and to be honest that beats the purpose that wyper was only able to use his sea prism by surprise on enel if he would’ve told zoro and nami right there and then enel woulve realized it with is mantra and neutralize them before it happens
You have to handicap your strongest characters, else you won't get any character development done. And if this pisses you off, my dude, watch something else because this is basically every arc.
it's written eneru in japanese. But since in japan they use R for both R and L, and the u as the last letter can be ignored, some translations decided for Enel. But Eneru is right too
They actually say Eneru in the anime, but totally agree about how it's written. Some Asian countries do not have the l sound. I also think the localizers mess up withbthe translation. I remember reading a re zero Manga were Ram called Subaru Barusu, but the localizer thought she was calling him "Balls". Funny

You are about to enter ONE OF THE MOST EPIC ARCS ever in the history of animes ❤
For me, the moment when Zoro catches Robin is made more powerful by the fact that he was the last hold out in accepting her as a crewmate. At the beginning of the arc he was still keeping an eye on her and didn’t object to her on the crew only because his captain wanted her on the crew. Props to noticing Robin refuses to say Namis Name and uses the "job title" instead although being more complicated...
i love how much faith Luffy has in Zoro, that he was so shocked that they were defeated; and that interaction with Zoro catching Robin is such a pivotal moment in Zoro's development and acceptance of Robin
Zoro is my favorite character, and part of it is his code of honor and how he interacts with people, like when he dueled Mihawk, and accepted his fate; and how he gave Eneru the stinkeye for attacking Robin
"Zoro's shining in this arc" almost right before Eneru "lightened" him up was crazy unfortunate timing💀
LMaoo the "Zoro flashing this episode" joke was so uncalled for
Yeah, that was brutal.
guys Sea prism is a thing for a while now. For example: Smoker's weapon, the cage Crocodile used to imprison the strawhats and smoker back in Alabasta
Yep, we’ve since seen it again. We wont forget!
10:14 they clearly forgot about Smoker's weapon with sea prism stone tip and Crocodile's cage with sea prism stone bars from Alabasta...
Enel has such final boss energy lmfao. Restarting your own heart is MADNESS
The way Robin calls the crew by their nicknames instead of their actual names is just another beautiful detail in this masterpiece that will make a whole lot more sense as you move through the story with these characters :)
No, The Eminem thing is just a meme/joke. Enel is not based on Eminem. Oda just said once in an interview 24 years ago, that he is a fan of Eminem.
Well not completly based of but his visuals are inspired by eminem
wasn't confirmed...nevertheless, never denied so why not..
Eneru restarting his heart is sick and terrifying..thats some broken DF.
ENEL being based on Slim Shady is Officially Cannon now 😂😂😂
I think Skypea was a learning arc for Oda. He may have had plans for it and symbols he wanted executed but he needed to figure a better structure for larger arcs like this one. It isn’t just the anime that had some pacing problems-the manga too- but by the end I think it fell more into stride.

It's worth noting that people struck by actual lightning only die 10% of the time, so Enel's struggles are kinda realistic heh.
The 'sea prism stone' that nullifies devil fruit powers had been mentioned multiple times before.

20:25 Great Pick Up Carlie...
*REMEMBER THIS MOMENT, IT'S AN EASTER EGG, YOU'LL EVENTUALLY UNDERSTAND*
Eneru shocking himself back to life was menacing to watch
That HORN 😂😂😂 I used it as my ringtone 🤣🤣🤣
Bruh wyper , should have kept that seastone on enerus body .
Up Until This Point Enel is Still One of the Most Dangerous Villain hope he returns
I would love to see Enel vs Kizaru
"Having all hopes dashed is the same as death itself." Enel is cooking here...
I feel like a lot of people don't pay attention to what he says because he has a god complex. But the truth is, we have to pay attention to his words..Nami said, "What is this guy talking about?"... The classic nickelodeon slime alarm clock had that same horn as a setting to wake up! 😂😂 It got me up as a kid every time!
"I love the going merry" - Ange 2025
The new skill of Zoro, "San-Jū-Roku-Pon-Do-Hō", can be translated literally as "Thirty-Six Troubles Phoenix" or "Thirty-Six Afflictions Phoenix."
Actually originating from Buddhist scriptures: In short, humans have 36 types of afflictions, which, when multiplied by the three periods of time-past, future, and present-result in 108 afflictions(kleśa).
God and Rap God. Lighting and lightning fast rapping 😂. That is based of Em
You getting triggered by the horn and I'm over here throwing it back evertime I hear it lmaoo
Finally, Luffy is out. It's common for Oda to keep Luffy trapped or unable to fight for almost the whole fighting part of most arcs (at least at the beginning of the series). In almost all the arcs, he is out of the fight because of something stupid, so the other characters can shine and fight.
MnM saw this and decided to call himself rapGod
remember, he used to call himself the king
I'm a simple man, I hear your cover i press like xD
as insane as eneru's power seems, lightning in one piece doesnt work quite the same as the real world, its strong, but not as strong as if a real lightning would hit and kill you, but then again zoro and wyper are also basically inhumanly strong so they can get zapped by million volts more than once to go down compared to anyone else who basically got one shot
I m so excited for u guys to move forward in series always looking for Wednesdays / Saturdays and Sundays to come fast 🚴三🚴三🚴三 ❤
The only reaction channel where I will never skip the intro.
8:09 "Zoro is shining in this arc"
9:14 Zoro is literally shining 😅
I didnt know the eminem thing and I instantly saw it the moment I heard lol
Carlie don't forget the sound of every wanted poster😂
The rap God is also the the god of Lightning 😂
he may not be rap god but he could be the zap god
we need more please
Dont hate the snake... I like him 😢😢😢. How dare he hurt my wifu robin 😡😡😡
They'll be so upset when they learn that Conis' Dad's Harley DIALson trumpet horn is the one that's going to beat Eneru.
😂I mean yeah just like in Alabasta
It's interesting how your 'most wanted' keeps changing. It's like every arc there is a villain to one up the previous one in how despicable he is.
I want to see a reaction to a Chinese anime. I recommend "Soul Land". It's an anime that makes people more interested in Chinese anime. The anime is very popular in many countries. 14:14 if by "this dude" you mean ODA, then YES you are right haha
Not the zoro foreshadowing 😂😂😂
He's not ACTUALLY based on Eminem, it's just a thing people say
I think the horn is to scare sharks away so....
Why Robin says Navigator instead of Nami?? Why? I wonder whyy👀
Bravo.
there will be peak next episode
Enel is cracked
You guys should watch Castlevania
Not Zoro shining 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Guys since you just saw squid game season 2 I strongly recommend alice in borderland it way more intense and better ❤.
Should have used the sea prism to remove his head.
Edit: And you will feel sorry for that snake.
Bro you don't react on sakamoto days
So with his electric car and attitude Enel is kinda like Elon
Even the names are anagrams
yesssssss
SBSの reactionは嬉しい☺️
👍👍👍👍
Please react to I WANT TO EAT YOUR PANCREAS
Man Zoro is the goat
Ranking: put chopper on top of zoro's shoulder, he would love that hahahha
ua-cam.com/users/shortsS3aTlwCqH6A?feature=share
I really like your reactions but Not Counting Going Merry as a part of the Straw hat crew is a CRIME.
Oda was a fan of Eminem back in the days

Where is dragon ball ??
zoro the best top 1
luffy getting trapped zoro getting handicapped and sanji's getting simpin or emotionalized in each arc just pisses me off.
Is this your first time watching one piece ?
You have to handicap your strongest characters, else you won't get any character development done. And if this pisses you off, my dude, watch something else because this is basically every arc.
You don't want Luffy getting isolated? Luffy will surely destroy Eneru earlier together with his crew. Not a good idea.
It's Enel not eneru, the translation is messed up
it's written eneru in japanese. But since in japan they use R for both R and L, and the u as the last letter can be ignored, some translations decided for Enel. But Eneru is right too
