I like that you're comfortable with calling out your own mistakes. Many drivers have a difficult time doing that. I also like that you are willing to learn and learn from your mistakes. Great job and keep up the good work!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!! Always more to learn :)
I was out there early at 9am looks like the turn out was nice
The best up and coming karting channel
🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️❤️
I'm a little disappointed you didn't try the carb tuning. But I'm sure your a little intimidated. When you see these drivers rocketing out of the turns, be assured it's not all gearing. ;)
Haha! Understood - I was actually borrowing a carb for this race because of some missing parts in my old one, so I was unable to make the changes you suggested. I still don’t have mine back yet, but I should soon! Once I do I can mess around with it a bit!!!
@@EthanPalosh Remember, you will probably have to toy around with the settings a little. Not all carbs react the same. ;)
When do you change your oil? I change mine each weekend and use the Briggs and Stratton oil but it might be different down there than canada
Hey! I usually change my oil every couple rounds or after a long practice day. Generally the more you change it, the longer the engine will last, but cost is a little bit of a factor for me. B&G 4T oil is the way to go!
@@EthanPalosh alright thanks
@@mcleanracing2404 I live in Canada and I do the same stuff as you. Each weekend i change the oil but I don't use briggs oil. and i'd be lying if I told you which one I use because I don't remember. sorry pal.
Hey bud come race NTK next weekend! Emmett Racing would love to see ya!!
Hey! I would love to! Unfortunately, I’m pretty busy with school ramping up for finals at the end of the year, but once that is over I’ll definitely try to make the trip up and try it out. Do you have to have a membership to race, or just pay the race fees for the weekend? Also how much should it cost and where can I get the info? Thanks!! Haha
What action camera are you using?
Hey! I use an Insta360 One R on the kart, and a GoPro Hero 4 in the paddock! :)
At the end it was a thumbs up, not an angry fist. Ha ha
Ah! Well I’m glad that was the case hahaha…was tricky to gauge the situation. Looking forward to next race!
@@EthanPalosh I just couldn't safely find a hole in the traffic ahead of me. This weekend I met the barriers and other fun things!
@@Johns3DPrintingCorner Oh goodness! You'll have to fill me in next round. Hope you and the kart are alright!
@@EthanPalosh All good, I still need to find about a second a lap. LOL
Damn bro....you were doing some bumping. Lol. Hope you're not a uber driver! Hahaha
Haha!! Def got a little nudgy.....it's like that sometimes but I'm working on being a little less lol :D
Why do you run your tires at 25 psi. Usually on a sunny day like that u dont want to go over 15 psi. Your tires over heat like crazy.
Hey!! This is a question I get a lot. At our track (you may have noticed) the surface is cement, which differs greatly from asphalt in the way that the tire interacts with the ground. At HCKC we refer to the pressures as "crazy hckc pressures" when talking about them. Depending on the compound and temperature outside, we run anwhere from 20-30psi. It's a little strange, but it's what is fast around our track haha. Thanks for the comment!!
We do not not get the heat from the asphalt so in the winter we can run 32psi without doing any damage to the tires even after long runs. Now the odd thing for me is on Bridgestones I would still run asphalt tire pressure. But then again at NTK I have run 23psi without any issues. Lol
@@Johns3DPrintingCorner HCKC is an entirely different animal! We raced NTK at the TSRS event and ran 10-14 lbs air all weekend. As an example of HCKC, I ran the same tires we had at NTK and ended up at 30-32 for the main! And tires still didn't come in until around lap 5! We race in the late evening and the track cools very fast. Come see us sometime. Itd a change you will have some fun with. Even a 3 story elevation in the track. Nithing else like it in TX that I know of.
@@droddy1972 did you mean to tag me or the original poster? I can be seen in this video. Not going to share my actual psi, lol. On Bridgestones in the 90's I ran the same pressure at both tracks, around 10-13psi.
@@Johns3DPrintingCorner yes, i was commenting for you. If you haven't been to HCKC since the 90s, you must come see the track extension! Its really fun. A bit tough on the ribs, but otherwise unique and exciting.
