Going later this week and can't wait. Slight disappointment for me is that you can't get the fried shrimp boxes like you can in the states and also absent the Mug rootbeer... But hey ho.. We have popeyes in the uk😁
It's about time!! It's the first thing I buy when I land in the US. The biscuits better be nice as well. I'll wait for home delivery, can't deal with those crowds lol.
Being from the US and watching people eat Popeyes Chicken in London is mind blowing, and yet satisfying. Now all we need is a few places that sells bangers and mash the proper way in the United States so I can have a little London in the US...
Its true, depending on where you go, Popeyes in other places outside the US may not have the same level of intense flavor, and its a shame because theirs two reasons why this is so. First is Popeyes own taste testers who adjust their recipe according to the assumed taste profile of the region. So for instance if a nation collectively does not eat salty, they will reduce the salt in their recipe. As the customers may find the product overly salty to their levels of taste acceptance. The other reason is due to the local franchise changing the ingredients according to sales figures. here in Puerto Rico, Popeyes on average is no where near as flavorful as in the US. And it really pisses me off, because although people still love it, they are not getting the full experience. we know such practices to be true with other FF Franchises.
Yeap they call this glocalisation - going global but according to what's local e.g. in asian countries having food more spicy. Personally i think i liked the istanbul popeyes more!
The have milkshakes on the menu and we wanted to try them but on the day they didn't have them. Going that far is tough haha gonna have to wait till it opens locally!
@@rockywalkie626 🤔that's because they're ordering everything on the menu🤨, no one order that much food for themselves at once😐, or they're bring the chicken over by rowboat from New Orleans😁
I'm from Chicago (now live in NYC) and have been eating American Popeyes my whole life. I travel regularly around the world for work and have had Popeyes at the Istanbul airport and it tastes absolutely nothing like the American Popeyes. Going to London next week to try it to see if it tastes like the US Popeyes.

You are very right! I've stopped called it a chicken burger, it is a chicken sandwich! Also on the biscuit, it looks a lot like a scone so we can agree/disagree there 😁😅
Pass. I went to my local one and saw the price and walked right back out lol. I am not paying 8 quid for 2 pieces of damn chicken and a drink with fries. That is ridiculous
Brother please check the gravy is NOT halal even in UK, if you read the halal certification it only applies to “Chicken Produce”. The gravy contains chicken and pork meat.
Popeye has been around in Dubai for a while now. However I found the chicken way too salty! It is a better quality of chicken than KFC but for a fast food chicken meal that is way too expensive in UK. 350 stores? That will not happen, the hype will die down give it 6 weeks the same thing happens in UAE whenever there is something new in town 😊🙂
As an American, it is immensely intriguing seeing you elated eating Popeyes succulent savoring fried chicken and sides.
We're slightly deprived of good fried chicken in the UK plus anything international is exciting!
You don’t speak like that, we’re American, stop it lol
We Americans are making the world fat 1 country at a time haha.
Ahaha yes!
Glad y'all enjoyed... From US God Bless
😋😋😋
Food looked top notch brother!!! We need one in brum!
They'll Defo come to brum bro, 350 restaurants ain't a joke!
Amazing review I’ll definitely be trying this 😭😭🎉
Awesome! Thanks :)
Greetings from Florida USA! Glad you finally got Popeye's in the UK! ENJOY! 🇺🇸 🇬🇧
We sure did!
Yooooo!!! Love to see it! I’m planning my trip down to London for this
Thank you my bro! Looking forward to see your review on it! 🙌💯
Can you pick one up for me, a bit of a treck going all the way to London for Munck, hopefully open one up north

Jheeze! Good review bro but that queue is ridiculous 🤯😂
Yeah but I'm sure it's a lot calmer now haha
I must have walked past Popeye's when I was in Westfield last Sunday- missed out :(. Next time ordering for 5 for myself lol

I love the fact that the kitchen is completely open for you to see in but what i don't like is the food is a bit different in some places.

I'm sure they'll have one everywhere eventually!

WTF!!!! 77.50 pounds = $103.28 United States Dollars
Thats £20 per person I don't understand why it's soo expensive I Think I'll stick to KFC

It's not authentic if it's changed to suit various tastes in other countries
In South Africa that exact same order from Popeyes Chicken over here would of costed under 30 Pounds.
Americans do not usually dip chicken into gravy. That is what the biscuits are for.
I shall do that next time :)
You use jam or honey with the biscuits. The gravy is for the potatoes.
As someone who lives in the US. We dip chicken in gravy as well. Also biscuits. Even fries sometime.
American here. I dip chicken in the gravy
Better than any fish and chips or whatever y’all indulge in, so happy for y’all lol much love from Texas! 🤠
There is no such thing as a chicken burger! We only have chicken sandwiches. And please don't call the biscuits scones either.
You are very right! I've stopped called it a chicken burger, it is a chicken sandwich! Also on the biscuit, it looks a lot like a scone so we can agree/disagree there 😁😅
But how can a sandwich be in a burger bun? The rest of the world it's a chicken burger. Only USA it's a sandwich.
@@rameeez111 By definition a burger has ground beef in it so this can can't be classified as such and so they call it a chicken sandwich

How do u know Popeyes UK is Halal?
The sauces are free in USA.
Flew from USA to UK to try out popeyes.
How was it?
👍🏾
Dang man the chicken connoisseur missed out on the opportunity. Nearly 80 quid wow
Ah would love to see his thoughts on this - always so entertaining!
Wowww you guys spent bareeee moneyyy
2 hour drive each way and 2 hour wait - we had to!
It trips me out how they use the gravy. I saw someone put it on the biscuit instead of using the honey. 😆😆😆😆
Americans use anything with anything! That said the gravy is delcioius
I'm American and I totally use gravy as the dipping sauce for the chicken tenders and dip the biscuits in it, too. Lots of people do. It's very tasty.

They got shakes? Check out the cash register cool but no jalapenos? come on but Glad they love that chicken from popeyes yum.

Still is apparently!

You should be wearing a mask with so many people in the crowd.
They don't do ranch sauce
Why do you call it a burger when there is no beef? It's chicken thus a chicken sandwich???
90 mins to queue for chicken ? Madness
It was madness haha
Lol there's no line ups in canada lol
im looking at the price ............
Tad too expnensive maybe?
It is a Mandatory requirement to wear a face mask in enclosed spaces
Why do they put gravy on the chicken? 🤦🏾♀️
It's really tasty. Highly recommend
I know feel weird. Is that meant to be strange? I always do that at KFC

How is this halal?
Is that a philosophical question?

The gravy is NOT halal, the halal certification only applies to chicken products. The gravy contains pork and chicken.

In the US, it seems to be the other way around: KFC is salty, and Popeyes is fresher.
I really don't rate KFC, and this is much better. Wasn't salty at all actually but i think overall istanbul one was better!
I found Popeye's chicken to be too dry. Much prefer KFC's original recipe! They have Church's over there?
But KFC sucks here. Isn't tasty or crispy :(
@@HalalFoodTherapy Yeah, KFC isn’t crunchy here either (US), unless you specifically get it that way.
