Wait a minute, how do we know how these dragon bonds work anyway? Laenor left and abandoned his dragon, maybe that's enough to break the dragon bond? This show is very well written so there may be a more interesting reason why Laenor isn't dead.

Here’s the answer Targaryen and Velaryon are one and the same at this point and if a dragons connection to the targaryens is blood then how can a dragon tell the difference between Targaryen and Velaryon? So Aerion Targaryen married Valaena Velaryon because she had a Velaryon father and Targaryen mother now they had three children Aegon, Visenya, and Rhaenys so every Targaryen moving on was also Velaryon which was strengthened when Aenys I married Alyssa Velaryon but on top of that Valeana had a brother named Daemon I which is the great great grandfather of the sea snake who is Addam’s father it’s also possible/probable that Raella Targaryen is Corlys’s mother that I’m not sure but the rest is facts
