Typically what time do you go out morning or evening and when do ya call it quits each day? Going to try a west texas dove hunt this year on some local private land l. Picked up a cpl decoys too
@@kevinbelloutdoors thanks for the quick response. ive mainly deer hunted in the area previosly, but we have a 4.5 month old chocolate lab, and although he wont be ready for this season...i figure what the hell....lets give some dove hunting a try and next year maybe he can come join me and retrieve. Awesome video man! Do you know of any good areas to hunt? I’m new to midland area and haven’t found a good spot. Went to Lamesa/big spring and Abilene and haven’t seen many birds.
It has been awful since that cold front. I have tried a few times and haven't seen much of anything. I see a lot of collared dove around some grain fields. Wish I was more help. Good luck and thanks for checking out the video.
Bummer! Yea I went out northeast of Lamesa last night and bagged 6 so might try out the morning soon. Still have over a month left so hopefully it gets better!

I like to hunt early to about 10AM they usually slow down by then. I like to start about 4P in the afternoon Good luck!
