About IDICBeer 40k - NECRONS and More
My Channel is all about Warhammer 40,000 and is mainly a Necron Channel. The content on it will include 40k Battle Reports, Army Lists, Conversions, Magnetising tutorials, Painting tutorials, 40k Tactics and lots of General Hobby Tips. I have been into the hobby since 2002 and my first and largest army is Necrons and I cover all things Necrons, including Necron tactics and Tips. I also have an Eldar army, Dark Eldar army, a Tyranid army and a Space Wolves army. I'm also working on a new Slaanesh based Emperor's Children army, but that is on hold atm, but I will get to it one day! I upload videos every week.

It's interesting how fast after Wargame Exclusive make a new model, GW updates their old kits.

The Imperial Templar Marshal is a proxy for GW's Ork Warboss-slaying High Marshal Helbrecht.
As for the Hive Priest and Retinue they sound like a Necromunda thing, although they also look a bit like the "Retinue" part of GW's Chaplain Grimaldus & Retinue kit.

I have the lord with scythe in my army but I modded him. I cut off the ugly scythe and gave him a staff of light left over from another model then cut up the scythe to get the orbs off the weapon and used those with a little cutting as res orbs on him and another GW lord that didn’t have a orb. Looks awesome. The flowing tattered cloak gives him a fun look, I changed him enough Iv had younger players ask if it’s one of the “old” resin sculpts from GW. Lol old, I was still fielding metal lords and a metal deceiver until recently

a couple years back i started buying alternative models for my eldar. and i came across this company and bought 2 full warp spider units. My gaming group and I have started buying alternative models for our table top games. GW is over priced. even for a niche game. plastic is not that expensive.. and since i have jumped over to mostly skirmish games. Alternative models have been a great way to customize.

I'm trying to look around for an alternative transcendant C'Tan at the mo, not a fan of the official GW offerings. I even looked at models of lesser known superheroes to see if they would suffice. No luck so far
C'tan do change form, so you could use pretty much anything that's arounf the same size, good luck in your search
If you find a good substitute let the rest of us know please? 😁

With the exception of an official GW event you shouldn't have any issues at all

Your review of the tomb bases got me to rebase my army. I bought a box to try out the same day you posted your review. Man if you had an affiliate you would be getting a small amount from me for at least 2-3 years haha. I want to start with rebasing my Combat Patrol since its almost the exact amount needed, except for the one plasmacyte and of course the doomstalker. Its unfortunate they dont make a base large enough for the doomstalker yet but Im hopeful theyll make other sizes and packs in the future. I may try and do a tomb base/base adapter combo to get to that 90 mm size. Its gonna look a little odd but with a little work and creativity Im sure I could make it work.
Also since it was my first time on the website they do have some cool Necron proxies Ill be keeping my eyes on for the time being. Still have lots of necrons i need to finish in my backlog before I even think about buying more necrons let alone proxies for them
The bases are really cool for sure, I'm painting some for my Deathmarks atm. I'd suggest contacting them asking about different sizes, if they get enough requests it might speed up the progress ;)
@@IDICBeer oh nice! Ill have to reach out and see if there are any future plans. Indeed if my voice can help Ill feel pretty good about that. Im definitely gonna need a lot of these sets thats for sure. Ill probably get the gf to get me a couple more boxes for my bday in April.
Its a shame the set only comes with 10 32 mm bases though. I think thats my only complaint about these. Theres just too many units in the necron range that require them. Had the sets maybe come with an additional 5, Id feel a little better. 10 would be more ideal, even at an increased price these would still be worth it. Every other size is perfectly fine as the rest are used for single to 3 model units so those can go a little further.

@@IDICBeer I would assume they would drop individual size packs in the future depending on how in demand the bases are. Its only gonna take word of mouth and some YTreviews like yours to get people like me interested. Currently its the best deal Iv seen on necron inspired bases that are not only very detailed but come packaged with lots of bases at a great price

well me siprized as star trek fan you do not have more borg necron queen types in you necrons more of em yes think that an hole units of brorg type queen necrons runing round doing the queen thing flash AHA he save all us think hydra minis has one have got yet but my evil plain is to pant the hydra queen mini to do that borg look last that my think on how do it PS great music fits em great

They're not a random 3D printer. They've been in business for years. And they are certainly distinct enough that GW wouldn't be able to do anything
