    thanks for this video. it helped me a lot. I didn’t have those special tools, so for removing the arms form motor, I just use a claw hammer. I used the claw part to force the arms off one by one. that went very easy. the square thing on right side, that you removed with the special tool, I just left it. Therefore I could not remove the plastic cover, but I could move it out of the way and get under it with an imbus tool to loosen the two bolts keeping the fixed arm. It was a bit of a hassle, but succeeded. working with hammers/ force around the edge of the windshield, you should be very careful, because can easily break the windshield if you hit the edge. I opened up the motor and found the tooth of the plastic gear wheel to be worn. If you are able to get the wheel, you can save yourself a lot of money. the original motors dont come cheap in my country (around 700USD), while the gear wheel is not even 20USD.

    Don’t remove air box jsut remove bracket and sway bar 4 bolts

      ha yes. Take out the cowl in the center of the winshield and the fire wall and remove the entire motor assembly with arms.@@bmwminicooperdiy
