- Never before has our camera team been allowed to document rescuing horses from the slaughter pipeline at an auction, an auction where every horse is sold, it's fate determined merely by the buyer. Horse Plus Humane Society rescue team take Pony Tales Refuge and Rehab Boot Camp attendees to the auction, where a surprise donation means a lot of horses were rescued from a horrible fate.

I can't believe someone hit a volunteer because the rescue bought horses. You can tell a lot about a person just by how they treat animals. So it's not shocking that they'd act so horrible. Thank you guys for all you do and for doing the right thing for so many horses that were failed by everyone before.

You see these skinny horses coming into the arena. .. And the the camera turn to the audience, and you see this overweight guy sitting there looking at them... It just tells a lot. Thank you Horse plus for your amazing amazing work! Though this is hard to watch for sensitive souls...

Binge watching and seeing this video for the first time . Had my emotions all over the place . Crying from happiness ( the amazing donation ) sadness , and than just appreciating how strong and dedicated Horse Plus staff is ! Tawnee !! You are an exemplary human and thank God for you !
This video was moving and so heartbreaking, taking us through the journey of being at the auctions and the pitiful state that people let these beautiful horses get into. I hope thee young lady who was hit was alright and charges were filed against who did that cowardly act. You are amazing and respected by countless people. Much love from my family to all of yours. I remember going to auction years ago,but I was to young to know what it was,but now after seeing this,I remember seeing it, I,Ve had a memory that my step father. took me for a drive,or something,not really positive cause it was years ago,and I was young,but we went to the saleyards,don’t remember where now,but when I watch this it triggers something in my memories and I can’t get it out of my head. I could say something about it, but I feel that nobody would really believe me because since then I’ve had a 🚙 accident and got a so called head ingery,but Istill remember,its happiness everywhere,and should be fuckin stopped and the people’s involved should have the same treatment and see how they take it NO MERCY...

I see why your husband is there for every one of those auction rescues, he's not stupid. But I had no idea. The two of you are young, but clearly you have been doing this a long time and have a veteran's expertise. Good job!

The reason I like your organization is because you all not only get them the care and love they desperately need, you also take the time to get to know each animal and help them become great pets for the people that adopt them.

I would love to know what happened to that beautiful big draft, he captured my heart in an instant! I doubt I would have been able to hold myself back from buying him at that auction, tolerating being ridden around despite his hoof🥺

I believe that Belgian was among those lucky few that were rescued, but am unsure of his progress once back at the shelter. Does anyone else in the Herd know for certain what eventually happened to him? I do believe that someone from their organization will reply to your query about him if you send them a handwritten letter or an email referring to the date & Episode #. If you can send a small donation with your letter - even a dollar! - and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to make it easier and cheaper for them to respond, please do! 😇😇
They are all SO busy with the Business of rescuing, rehabilitating & rehoming the many hundreds of animals they save, and there is no one there who can read & respond to all of the online comments & questions they get. That as why we, their "Human Herd" must read and respond to the thousands of online comments they get as truthfully as we can, help each other "suss out" information when possible, and ALWAYS report ANY online abuse of and/or threats to the organization and its staff or animals in their care!🐎😇 Bless you for caring!
When I grow up I want to do what you guys do my horse was Missed treated and almost died but me and my trainer got him back up and now I can ride him and I just love what you guys do
You have a special place in heaven. It’s so unbelievable but true the disgusting greed that preys on the horse. Hopefully with support exporting can be stopped. This all goes to Washington maybe there is a miracle but it is all about the money. Thank you for what you do 👍
I've been to an auction once. It was heart breaking. The things I saw just broke me. The live stock world is so unnecessary and cruel. Horses are the most incredible beautiful soul. Thank you for saving them.

Came here by accident, I am not a horse person. I am hooked! Love everything about this organization. Watching people who love doing their jobs even though it is hard work, emotionally taxing and often thankless.
I have such admiration for all of you at Horse Plus - I love your videos. I could not attend an auction as it would tear my heart out to see suffering horses but I can give support from afar. Thank you for showing the real world of horse rescue.
Hell now I know why I have never gone to an auction before it is so disgusting and stressful for these animals I can’t even imagine what is going on in their heads and the fact that human beings do this to them. When I was little I had 2 minis, wonderful but sassy mini geldings, me and my brother enjoyed them, we got them for free from the owner, when my dad said he wanted to give them back and buy a horse, so we gave them back, biggest mistake of my parents lives, we drove past the owners place and each time the ponies looked skinnier and skinnier, they even asked to take them back, she said no, she had been reported but she wasn’t afraid to take the gun, no one could ever do anything, than my first horse was an ottb, u can actually look her up on equibase at Township Seven, I still have her papers as a memory 😭 Bad choice for a first horse but my trainer picked her so wasn’t my parents fault, she was bute and turned up lame, my dad said she was useless and made me bring her to auction, I could never replace what I did to those horses but I will rescue as many horses as I can! Thank you for all you do! ❤️
Don't beat yourself up over that which you had no control. You learned from it and someday you can do your part to help those who can't help themselves.
This group has my heart! Started my horse lifestyle with a rescue in GA, wonderful horses! All the horses I’ve owned have been rescues. My 1st girl was a body score of 1. My 2nd girl was a rescue from Performance Walking Horse barn. After that I’ve worked with three beautiful horses also rescues. Looking forward to my next project after college. You guys are inspirational & I hope to one day get a beautiful horse from you guys!

I love what you guys do, I never make it through an episode without tears and sometimes I hate that I have to look away. You are the definition of angels. My mare was saved from slaughter and I feel so angry at the racing industry and all equine owners that see their horses as disposable the moment they have no “use” for them. Thankyou for the work you do.

I know this is an old video but... My God it's so hard to watch those poor babies even on the youtube, I can't imagine what it's like to sit there through the whole auction knowing that at some point you are biding against kill buyers. I cried when you got the call about the 20k donation, my eyes watered again when (probably) Tawnee yelled "WE CAN TAKE THEM ALL!". It was an icredible feeling that you were able to say that amazing sentence and I'm still playing that part on repeat... God bless all of you, people.

These poor horses must be absolutely terrified!! So very stressful!! It breaks my heart in a million pieces!! They should not be going through all the things they are forced to by sub-humans! Horses are such beautiful creatures~they should be living a beautiful life! I started to watch this video & I had to stop. I couldn't take it. But I was only watching it, the horses are living it!! I pray everyday that these horrible things these horses go through will end forever. And they can just live their lives peacefully, as was intended. Thank you for all you do to help them!

I always tell people that don't understand why I care so much what happens to all these animals...and I tell them...they can't choose what to do this coming Saturday night...they get told what to do.

Y'all are what are known as earth angels cos u have rescued so many horses that have either been injured or not cared for in an unforgiving world of owners that threw them away like garbage after they were thru with them after they served them for many yrs . It is sad how many get dumped off at an auction and then shipped off to slaughter after having a loving home and then the person who had them thinks they helped out their horse .If only they really knew the truth . My heart goes out to each and every 1 of those animals cos I'm a horse lover and if I still had my horse property I would be more than happy to help y'all . .

My Mom worked for almost 15 years for a rescuse i have allways had recuse horses growing up . I now recuse and taken in un eanted horses . Im so greatfully this lady does this its bot easy i know first hand . So thank you
Thank you for what you do for those amazing noble souls. I have been rescueing animals during 11 years and I know too well what you are going thrue. I got a burnout, and left with an heart issue, but I will never regret what I did for the ones I saved. I cannot wait to see the next video❤️❤️❤️

Honestly watching this video just is so upsetting... I live in Dawson Creek BC Canada and you would never see skinny unwell horses go through our auction mart, you would NEVER see someone hit someone else over buying horses. Farmers here value their animals so much here, cows and horses, goats doesn't matter what animal...
Not to mention that auction mart almost feels like a underground operation and such a negative dirty place to be, ours is clean and organized and honestly so welcoming. I bought and sold horses through our auction before and the feed buyers are super respectful and if someone bids against them they will pretty well back down and they are really respectful about it. Also our auctions are earlier in the morning/afternoon to give everyone a chance. I even went there to be sold for my 4-H club at the time ( Due to covid we never actually went and did our jobs we were bought for lol). My grandfather was even a brand inspector for a number of years and his partner is still doing it...
I know this is alot to read but honestly seeing what its like in the states absolutely breaks my heart, I really hope you guys get to experience a Northern BC auction because honestly it will blow your mind....

Whenever I get a ranch I’m going to help horses too. It hurts my heart so much knowing what a lot of them are going through. My dream is to be a vet to help horses and have my own ranch to help many many horses like y’all. I’m only 15 and this is my goal I’m going to achieve it . Love y’all horse plus keep up the work! Y’all are the reason my goal is my goal from watching y’all it made me want to help whenever I get a ranch! Thank you❤️

Its so amazing that you guys can save that many horse. This just makes me wanna cry. You guys inspire me so much and really want to do what you do. I've never been to an auction but i know it would make me so upset.
