Charlene was gracious and complimentary about the show. Pure class.
Believe it or not I've never seen an interview of hers. She is much calmer and put together than I thought I really thought she'd be much more like her Lucy character
No one could’ve played Lucy as well as Charlene did!! she has that special sparkle that made her character a thrill to watch. ❤ the best!!!
She was absolutely gorgeous.
YES, she was!!!
And a spoilt brat lol 😁
Met her many years ago
Today is the birthday of my friend, Charlene Tilton, which is why I'm watching some of her stuff from long ago on UA-cam tonight. Wow, was she gorgeous when she was young! Sadly, I wasn't a fan when Dallas was originally on TV. It must have been on a night that my family went to church (Sunday or Wednesday night), or when there was another show on that we were already hooked on when it started, because I never watched until many years later, after I had met and become friends with Charlene. She is still a very attractive woman, but I'm stunned when I see clips or shows from when she was young. And Cherish was already a young woman when I met her, and so seeing her when she was little is a real treat. Anyway, Happy Birthday to my friend Charlene, who shares a birthday with my daddy, who has spent 43 of his birthdays in heaven.
She is awesome! How blessed you are to actually know them. I named one of my dolls Cherish around this time. Two amazing ladies.
Yes, Kristina, knowing them has been a true blessing. I’ve recently been communicating with Johnny Lee, too, Cherish’s daddy and the man who had a big hit “Looking For Love (in All the Wrong Places).”
@@doriswebster7792 everybody knows that song! 😊
Charlene, we love you !!
💚🌷
I finally found the stream for Dallas (1978) catching up, missed alot of episodes because of my work hrs. now i have all the time in the world LOVE THE SHOW DALLAS
I think the writers made some critical mistakes with the character of Lucy. First, it would have made sense for her to go over to Knots Landing after Gary and Val relocated there. It would have been easier to write compelling stories for her with her relationship to her parents and how their relationship issues affected her. Even with her staying on DALLAS they could have done better. I think it was a mistake to kill off Mickey. I think there was much more story there that could have played out before anything happening to him, probably for at least a couple of seasons. And by season 7 (her last)....that's the one the DVDs are now calling Season 8, her storyline was completely separate from any other storylines on the show. And I think that was the biggest mistake they made with Lucy. Putting her on an island by herself, and not allowing her storyline to affect other characters like most of the other characters did.
Lucy Ewing was kind of like a cat. You didn’t see her too often, but when you did you were so happy she was in the house. Lucy was extremely important!!!
The show was never the same without Charlene!
The show was never the same without Victoria Principal.
Such beauty is a rare flower !
Pity they dropped her back then. They all acted their part well. Charlene was a beautiful young lady
I liked Lucy's character. Her eye rolls & digs at J.R. & Sue Ellen. As she went on her acting was better. She was a hoot. She was just as good as Linda playing a drugged up person. She balanced the show & brought humor to the chaos. Just wished they let her & Mitch work out. Be the example of a long lasting, good marriage. They paired them up well. Not everything in life is chaos.
I think she was cut because the writers didn’t know what to do with her Lucy character.
She didn't fit in on the show.
They tried making story lines for her but it never carried well. Then she came back at the end of the series and the character was worthless at that point
She was very pretty, and she had a great personality. But she had a sad story to tell of her up bringing. But she was able to land a role on the most loved show Dallas back in the day. Every Wednesday evening I would watch it in the Uk. Didn’t miss an episode growing up.
Three years later, she was back on Dallas, only to be cut again in 1990. But was back on the show, on the TNT Dallas, though limited role.
That girls hair! Incredible!
Sadly, her hair and beauty was all she brought to the character. In my humble opinion she was the worst actress on the show.
She was great on Dallas knots landing unreal how good these shows were then before the Internet nothing today could touch them two shows.casts was unbelievable.
She seems kind of sad here. Charlene and Lucy had a lot to do with the show's success, especially in the early years.
She was the only teenager on the show and actually playing her age. Lucy Ewing is quintessential Dallas! A shame she was under utilized in the original (latter seasons) and only given bit parts in the reboot. Lucy should have been given another love story when she returned to Dallas; she was still young then.
Time has proven that it was a colossal mistake writing Charlene Tilton's character Lucy Ewing off the show! 🌴🏡🌴
She had a very Sally Struthers-like vibe about her. As my mum would say--"the short and sassy"-type
Charlene was so freaking HOT!!!!
Agree and she and I are same age
Lucy was an original character and a Ewing! Her absence was felt hard, but indeed it was hard to write for Lucy by the end.
The writing for all of the characters sucked by the end. They ran out of ideas during the last third of the show.
"Lucy" was painted into a corner as the spoiled grand-daughter. She had no business acumen (although they tried - and failed - to go that route when Charlene returned). This is not a critique of Charlene, but more so of the writers and producers.
She was so pretty cute and petite with that beautiful Thick long blonde hair With cascading curls running down her back
I was in love with her and Suzanne Sommers.
They all had 7 year contracts. After season 7, her contract wasn’t renewed because they ran out of ideas for Lucy.
They Should've Kept Her In Dallas😔
(She Really Stood Out Like Every1 Else)
Producers should have brought Johnny Lee to Dallas as Lucy's new love interest. He is from Texas after all.
In an interview, a "Dallas" producer revealed that Charlene was fired from the show because she slapped a horse. I don't believe it, but it certainly raises more questions about her departure.
Charlene tilton is not a nice person.
@@harperstacey9604 Do you know her? Have you ever met her? I DO know her, and you are wrong!
@@doriswebster7792 I have no idea if what you're talking about and I am going to block you from my phone.
@@harperstacey9604 Fine with me, because you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about!
@@harperstacey9604 the person you said you were going to block , wanted to know if YOU know Charlene ? I have the same question... do you know Charlene Tilton ?
doesn't say why she got cut, twice.....
Her acting didn't improve.
The second time, SHE chose to leave. Nothing for her to do.
Charlene is a disarming and straight woman.
They gave Lucy absolutely nothing to do in the 1984-85 season.
Lucy was not a popular character on the show. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Lucy was beloved by millions fans, including me. No offense, but you’re a creepy idiot.
She was peppered in enough in that season.
Just the silly waitress story
I made no sense Lucy didnt return for Bobby's funeral.
what made no sense is bobby didn't die and resurrected in the shower 1 season later
CHARLENE WAS HOT ! TUESDAY 5/2/23 MAY 2, 2023
Why would that gorgeous young girl marry that creepy old goofball Johnny Lee?
Why? I’ll get back to you on that
Love 💕
Daddy issues...
My oldest sister did the same thing. At 18, marrying a man almost 50.
The press LIES. She has done very well all these years. Charlene was not going to give any interviewers the gossip they always want! Charlene was a pro by this time. She understood tv is a BUSINESS and BUSINESS decisions are made. It was never personal and Charlene knew that. So kind and grateful are her words!!
What was her religious preference?
Why was she droped from the series?
You can feel how affected she is. Very sad. It was a big mistake. But she came back later.❤
So jealous, married to JOHNNY LEE🙂
Június
Gary Ewing daughter
She was boring. After Micky died, she was dull as ditch water.
Ok
