Tomoko Ishii - In Your Own Sweet Way / 石井智子

in one's sweet way とは、「好きなように、勝手に」というイディオムで、オリジナルのブルーベック夫人の歌詞は、自分勝手な男に振り回されたうぶな女の独白になっています。しかし私が歌った歌詞は、Miles Davisのソロラインを使ったアレンジバージョンに、ボーカリストのJaclyn Guillow さんが独自の歌詞を付けたもので、憂鬱な時期に出会った彼と恋に落ちるまでのスリルや幸福感が表現されています。お楽しみ下さい。
In one's sweet way is the idiom "as you please, on your own," and the original Mrs. Brubeck lyrics are a monologue about a　woman swept away by a selfish man. However, the lyrics I sang are an arranged version with a solo line by Miles Davis, with vocalist Jaclyn Guillow adding her own lyrics to express the thrill and happiness of meeting and falling in love with him during a depressing time.
