wowwwww, it's a big honor for me that Chris started the hang out playing my composition "A Mis Abuelos" thank you so much to you both, may God bless two of you. It made my day big time!!!!
For all the complaints we've all been reading about social media, this is one of the things I love about the internet....I listened to Danzon practically nonstop for a year in high school so I recognized the melody as soon as Chris started playing it. Then I happen to look down at the comments and the first one is directly from Arturo himself! It's great that everything can be connected in this way, and I really enjoy it as a fan.

Thank you for the continued coverage you make available for us in the different parts of the world that we would otherwise not have the privilege of seeing and learning.
I just met Doc Severinsen last night 😂 when I heard his name mentioned my heart lit up, he was such a nice guy to talk to, not to mention is chops are pristine as always 😂 thanks Sarah and Chris! As a trumpet player, I have always looked up to people like you and it is so amazing to see your perspective on certain aspects and to get great advice!
Few people apply for Julliard because applications are expensive and Julliard rejects most applicants, so most people opt not to pay large sums of money for a rejection letter. (Response to about 47:10)
Ah, so the "poo attack" is just a way to get your lips set for a solid breath attack. Great to know! I will have to work with that. The knowledge freely available nowadays is amazing. Another great vid!
Terrible interviewer. She keeps cutting him off, and didn’t let him answer the question about the difference between Chicago and New York...12:20. She means well, but so frustrating to listen to....By the way, I am not Chris Martin the guy in the video, but I do share his name, and ironically, am also a trumpet player.
Yes, but Sarah has wonderful energy and enthusiasm. There are a lot of brass interviewers out there who don’t interrupt and it all goes flat really quickly. Sarah doesn’t allow that to happen. And she covers a lot of ground quite efficiently.

Mr. Sandoval, what a treat to spot you in the comments here! Thank you for your wonderful music!
Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment.

Found my next project piece! This is beautiful! Thank you, Arturo!
This comment is proof positive that (in many cases) the bigger they are, the nicer they are.
Some great energy in that room Brava 👏 y’all from South Carolina for preserving this amazing history

But no Charlier.
Why no 36 Etudes by Theo Charlier ????
Also, no 40 Studies by Wilhelm Wurm ??
@@democratsuck my EXACT same thoughts / response.
I have a marvelous time, quite refreshing and informative
What a delightful tour and experience, Sarah. A somewhat belated thanks for this opportunity this excursion into musical history.
Thank you for the continued coverage you make available for us in the different parts of the world that we would otherwise not have the privilege of seeing and learning.
You are very welcome, Bruce!
Awesome content!
What a treat! Thank you Sarah!
I went to high school with Chris. Its great to see him again. I guess I have no better reason to make it up to NY for a concert now.
Great interview. Such a cool guy. Great to hear the DCI mention. GO Spirit of Atlanta!!!
Sarah, wonderful video with Chris! Thank you so much for posting!
I've worked with his father before. Mr. Freddy Martin. Both of these gentlemen are absolute legends in the music world.

Sarah, your show is terrific. Keep up the great work!
here in LA we also have an excellent principal trumpet Thomas Hooten.
and sometimes I can even spot Sarah hanging out in the Phil.
Chris is a fast talker, great interview. Chris is full of experience and knowledge!
I concur with the spot working, especially on something like Tomasi. Only makes the whole piece better.
I heard Chris play the intro to Pictures. It was absolutely the best I have ever heard that played. The man is phenomenal!

Sometimes UA-cam transcends itself and becomes something quite special. Often, actually.
Chris Martin, he is awesome!

Josh Ronquillo’s Account that’s the trumpet they use for orchestral music
Mark Ridenour at CSO is so much better than this guy.
Kind of an idiotic statement.
