Thanks, awesome video 👌
Love this video
Awesome!
Tanks bro
Awesome
Hi Dom, is this pass transferable to nogi?
Wow wow wow !
Ï love this brillant material for its clarity, the elbow and knee synchronicity, while droping down is a detail I have never seen before. Thank you for this.
Oss. Is the head pressure focused on the center of the chest or one of the shoulders in general? Thank you.
The goal is to prevent them from turning in, so if you put it in the center of the chest, it would help a little bit in accomplishing that, but focusing that pressure into the top shoulder would do a much better job.
Excellent instructional, love the details!
I dig this style of instructional video. Short. No talking. Clear directions with visual indicator.
Fantastic
I've been waiting for this.
Dom, your instructionals are bestest! Keep going on that way ;D
Thanks!
game changer
This was an outstanding video, THANK YOU SO MUCH
Nice! Thanks a lot!
Great info! Thanks!
I recognize Pino as uke and others guys from MatSide! awesome
Thanks for the great video. I loved the graphics and music too.
Is there any tips when they have a pant grip? I love long steps and the head pressure details is something I’ve been missing. But there times I get stuck when they grip my pants. So I’m in reverse half guard . Thanks in advance
Great details, thank you. I like the note about throwing the hips. Oss
Thank you, Dom! How do you prevent them from catching your long-stepping leg with their bottom leg?
Hey,that man with you is my team mate Pino!
GREAT video

I'm new to BJJ but now I will submit every black belt in my club with those steps

Oustanding tutorial, thanks you for it
couldn't be more clear ! thanks
Very Nice vídeo
They taught this pass at my gym for a full week, and I love them for it - the best open guard pass in my arsenal, I go for it every time and hit it most tries. A few extra tips from my personal experience with it:
1. The pant grip should be the last one you let go of. Also, make sure to grab it knuckles down so it’ll really make driving towards you with the leg hard for your opponent.
2. You don’t even have to do the jump like he shows at the start. If say, you’re passing to your right, and your right leg is clear of his left leg before you start the pass, all the jump will do is give him the chance to re-guard. Just drop to your right hip, while driving with the head and pulling with the pant grip. Low effort, high power.
3. They actually taught us to drive as perpendicular as we can to our opponent. If our grips are good, it’ll prevent the opponent turning towards and allow us to head drive right into a flat side control. But I loved the additional ways he showed in the video to finish the pass, will definitely give it a try.
All (or at least more) jiu-jitsu instructional videos should look like this. Thanks, Dom!
Amazing presentation. You won me over as a subscriber immediately with the captioned breakdown.
Awesome, thank you!
This is incredible instruction brother @DubiousDom 👏🏽🔥 1 of the most detailed I've ever seen. Really need to come out & learn from you - keep it up & all the respect 🙏🏽 Where are u teaching btw? Osss #DeLaRivaBlackBelt
Hey brother, thank you I appreciate that! I'm one of the head instructors at Atos HQ in San Diego CA. Come visit sometime!
Outstanding video, as usual. Great details on the technique. Keep it up man. Quick question: who put thith plate of fooood in front of you?
I just become so enraged just by lookin at his hair. Hahah! I immediately checked the username when I read your comment. Miss you buddy :)
Dom is the best of the best 🎉

Very nice and informative video !
I’ve been long stepping for awhile but learned a bunch from your video. Thanks Dom.
Dom do you plan some new dvds on bjjfanatics? I have single leg, tarantula and passing answears :D one of the best oss
I'm long overdue for some new ones, I'll have to hit them up soon!

Excellent
Gold!
Best!
top notch breakdown, thank you. Came here from the "shameful" side control escape which I will also try ;)
i've been trying this in class, i set up the grips, and begin the long step but my opponent has been able to hook my stepping leg with his bottom leg (the leg i am not gripping) and disrupts everything and it becomes a scramble from there. What could i be doing wrong?
jefftmusic try pushing the top leg away from you as you longstep. This will limit how far the bottom leg can go to track your leg. Also, make sure your kick is forceful enough to clear any friction that might be sticking his leg to yours. There’s a reason the longstep always makes that satisfying *thud* sound 😎
@@DubiousDom yeah that makes sense. Also since playing back the nights rolls in my mind, its possible im not using my head enough on the far shoulder, I think i am leaving space.. cause i think they are still on their side. my goal tonight is that THUD sound. haha thanks man, great videos!! that step over triangle is dope too.
A genius!
This is awesome thank you. Question, often I'm doing this from headquaters position and they have a grip on my pant leg that usually gives me trouble after the pass, any tips? Thanks!
Casey Jordan if they keep the pant grip, just stay in that awkward side by side cuddling position and dig the underhook. Then post yourself back on top and kneecut with the underhook
Your content is seriously some of the best out there. Nice editing, chill music, great details, and well organized in general! Subscribed.
Hi dom love your videos and the breakdowns that you have done are really insightful. Love the detail! One question with regards to the tripod stance that you demonstrated in the video, I couldnt help but feel that there would be a lot of weight on the neck if we are pushing with our forehead as opposed to the top of our head. Could you please clarify. Maybe I have misunderstood the position
Excellent demonstration, editing and explanation of UA-cam instructional
Now THIS is how you make a technique video. Really good stuff.
Straight to the point! Very nice. Complete with cherry on top by telling us you believe in us :-)
This is great. I wish more tutorials were laid out like this. Are your BjjFanatics instructionals put together the same way?
Amazing thank you
No problem 😊
I do a lot of back steps in my game and I’ve been working on a variation of this collar-pant control pass into a granby roll to side control that I picked up from Eduardo Telles when I visited him.
BUT I can’t figure out a way to make this type of collar-pant control dependent pasa work for no gi. I can kind of do it and end up in a leg entanglement/berimbolo position but I can’t pass without the control of the gi.
Has anyone brainstormed any potential solutions or is it just a dead end?
Thanks so much for this Dom! You are an excellent teacher. I can't wait to meet you guys at the seminar in October 👍
Terere's presence is still being felt baby...OSU!!!!
Awesome detail! The propelling from your toes makes a lot of sense. Like powering your way pass the Guard. I'll definitely add this to my game.
Excellent instructional. Thanks!
Great video as always! Thank you!!
This is far better than an actual step by step instruction
