Hey everyone! Hope you enjoy the first video of our new Algonquin Park vlog series! We’re excited to announce this is our first time bringing a new 360° VR camera with us too, and we’re stoked to share this new experience with you! They’ll be lightly edited moments from each day of the trip, and you’ll find today’s 360° video (of us paddling on Lake Opeongo, as well as a beautiful sunset from our island campsite) linked in the description. There are many different ways to enjoy the 360° videos on UA-cam, and we’ve included some helpful tips in the description too. After the trip, I’ll post an unabridged version of all the 360° clips for those who would like to enjoy a longer VR experience in the park. Also, before you check out the 360° video, please don't forget to like, share or comment on today's vlog and let us know what you think! Thanks for watching! :)
I wish their were more women like you in this world, just found your channel tonight. You have a new sub for life, and a fishing buddy if you ever need one 😊
For me it was the first view of this 5 year old trip. Had I seen it 5 years ago I might of thought all YT'ers made video like yours but ... after watching YT for 5 years this intro was THE BEST intro of the thousands I have watched. It felt like you needed a storyboard to lay out the sequence and then you went out and filmed it. Way above and beyond the average.
I really can't understand how you have so little subscribers. Your videos are of such a remarkably high calibre for any genre. Please keep up the amazing work. It does not go unappreciated. You two are the best!
Greetings from Prince Edward Island. I hopped over here after seeing Joe's winter camping video that he posted yesterday (Jan 17th 2020). Watching the first few minutes of this had me rolling with laughter, how much gear can a human pile on them. So much for "Hold my beer". I'm 56 and have camped a bit over the years. I follow Survival Lilly as well. Joe and Outdoor Gear Review are my other favs. I'm originally from Ontario, but live here now, (20 years). I think I was near Elephant Lake or Lake Benoir Camping once in the mid 90's. Well now, I must like and subscribe. Since I am an avid space buff, I got chills listening to the fantastic intro
Goodness me, you guys can carry a lot of gear. You remind me when I used to carry almost a third of my own body weight, in tools and test gear and go off to service some of my 'off-grid' clients in their respective wilderness's. I too would sometimes simply fall over backwards, if I lean't back too far. I just love watching your vid's, the quality is outstanding. The light especially is absolutely beautiful. You don't have to tell all of us you had a good time, we can see you did !!! Always looking forward to your next vid. Keep up the good work C&J.
Woo! A new trip and videos from some of my favourite tripping UA-camrs; yay. And you lucked out there ... it was one of those rare days when Opeongo is a huge, shimmering mirror ... beautiful. It's also nice to see the two of you continuing to enjoy your trip traditions. Those upgraded S'mores sure look good.
The first 30 seconds is a jaw dropping build-up! That said, the whole sequence to the point where the canoe gets placed on the water is so captivating that I couldn't look away.
Hey ! Says the Canadian ...You girls are bad ass. Very refreshing video, good sound track, nothing seen before, and none of those stupid pass by where they have to go back and get there camera. The image ad such great colors steady cam while traveling, all in all great. Some of the pop bushcraft super duper guys should take notes. Ok see you back on the lake.
The opening first 30 seconds shows your true skills as a film maker and why your videos are so enjoyable to watch. Excellent! I look forward to seeing the rest of your trip.
The quality and editing in this video is amazing! I went on a canoe trip when I was in high school on the French River and this is bringing back so many memories!
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Great video. Top shelf quality and extremely creative. I personally have to thank you, I have a 14-year-old daughter who has been kind of losing interest in our canoe trips, which we have been doing since she was born. After we watched your video today (father's Day) she said she wants to tackle opeongo! Looks like a father daughter trip is back on the board. Thanks for such an awesome presentation. Cheers! Mike
Went through Opeongo last year and had the best time ever. Can't wait to hit up Grand Lake this year. I binge watch your videos when I prep...never stop!
As always Chris a beautiful video and the 360 cam is a wonderful addition to the trip. Almost like being there. Almost. Thank you for allowing us along on You and Julia's adventures. Looking forward to the next 6 days.
I've been doing marathons of these camping vlogs of yours while I'm riding the stationary bike at the gym, because these videos are always fun and interesting but most importantly they're almost always 100% positivity from start to end. Thanks so much for bringing some much needed relief to a stressful, negative world!!
YEA! another video, looks like you went before the massive outbreak of black flies. A delight to watch! The 360 is cool too. I gonna try it in my VR goggles.
Beautiful cinematography. Makes me want to bring an SLR for our 7 day trip in a few weeks. You guys should put in at Magnetawan next, lots of great lakes over there.
Great video I make 2 times a trip through the Algonquin Park. One Time 10 days in 2000 und one time 12 days in 2004. That was absolutely my greatest expierience in my life. Greetings from Germany Roman
Your video's rock! Looks like you had a mostly calm day on Lake Opeongo (Nice). I have been on this lake when their was good size waves :-) Looking forward to watching this trip.
Full on BEAST mode one carry to the docks WOW! You ended up carrying the barrel on your forearm!! Seriously who does that?? Chris Prouse! That's who! Enjoy all your backcountry stuff. Entertaining, humorous and impressive. Thanks!!
Thank you for making a sad day fill wonderful with God's gift of your trip I love looking at all your vid's like I was a frog in your pocket. Thank you again

So glad to see your putting up an Algonquin series. Also adding new technology, excellent as always ladies, simply the best. We were up there the beginning of May, it was still snowing. I recorded a bunch vids in the muddy, snowy wet terrain, what a difference in a month. How were the black flies and mosquitos? (Bill)
I subsribed to you two nearly a year ago I think and the quality is improving every time. The intro was very well timed and filmed, loved the concept! And I have to thank you for the 360° video. Felt like I was one of your child on the trip with you ahahah Jokes aside thanks for the work and the charing. Have a great summer girls!
Awesome intro ! and awesome video as usual :) We just came back from our first camping experience at Mont-tremblant, inspired by your previous adventures :) (Really avoid this period next time, we are full of mosquito bits !!!)

May I recommend you try a 4 day trip down the Ottawa River. Or a multi-day trip in the many islands and waterways you can paddle South of Parry Sound.....Killarney and French River Provincial Parks are nice too. The terrain in Algonquin get's old. Just some ideas to spice up your videos and travel plans.
