Girl, I relate so hard to the perfectionism. I want to enjoy my time in art school instead of obsessing over grades. I constantly compare myself to straight-A students and wish I was like them. There were so many times when I couldn’t have fun because I felt regretful about getting a B. Even though I have A’s and B’s, I beat myself up for those B’s. One of my biggest goals is to seek out therapy, especially faith transition therapy, and talk about the possibility of ADHD. I am incredibly grateful to have followed along both your art and personal journey, and I still find your “starting a new chapter” video reassuring. You inspire me so much, and I could not be more proud of you. 💛
Congrats on your marriage! ✨ I am glad you are being more patient with yourself and your work. It's just so important to be forgiving and loving in that way. I understand needing to narrow down with mediums as well. It can be way too overwhelming to do it all. Why be mediocre at many when you can excel at a few?
Hullo Sara, I had to switch to a digital workflow in 1996 and I simply could not keep using paint and paper/canvas it was to confusing trying to learn and keep everything going. I semi-retired in 2015 and I am trying to eliminate digital practices in my art life! I am excited to learn how to paint with soft pastels and resume my watercolor painting journey! I hope you are enjoying your art journey and being happy and creating joy in your art is important for you and your emotional life! I wish you only the best. Thank you for sharing your art and your art journey with us! I look forward to watching your next video.
Please do another retreat to Japan, I will sign up ^-^ I was born there but don't remember it and I'd love to go with art friends. I'll think about Italy haha

You should try to go to really far parts of Japan (Okinawa, Sapporo). They are less washed from tourism
