$1,785 on your wall now! (that was the last sale price on GPA)! What an *Awesome find!* Not to mention, you owe a lot of the value to your cleaning and care of this great issue! I remember buying that off the shelf, and at 10 years old, it was one of the first ever books I put in a plastic bag! I didn't know the significance of the issue, but I just loved the story and all the new characters so much! Never bought a collection from anyone, only traded stuff back in the day and recently. I wish I could find that hunting spirit, Great job again brother!
My best find was in a storage unit I bought at auction. There was a metal trunk in the back full of silver age comics. Found an X-men #1 and an Avengers #1. Both came back from CGC in 3.0 blue labels. Finding and researching them is what got me into the hobby.
Congratulations!!!! Tyler. I received my GSX1 for Christmas just over forty years ago. It is still one my of my prized possession. You will remember getting yours for a looooong time.
I keep debating sending in my GSX1. A friend of mine while I was helping him sort some of his books (and buying some) showed me that he had four of them. I laughed and said that was too big a book for me and I would never get one. He said to take damaged one and just add 20 to my bill... It had an oil stain that I got cleaned out. you can't even see where it was.
I have one in a similar grade that I have been avoiding because I need more squarebound practice. Not sure about getting anything graded anymore if I’m keeping for the PC.
@@ScottTice1971 yeah I like the way they look in the slabs obviously the grade matters but I’m not nearest concerned about that I just like displaying them slabbed!
@@kristopherparker6871 I think I’m going to keep it for now anyways maybe I’ll change my mind in the future but I sure love the way it looks on the wall!

@ most definitely!
You made the right call not attempting to press that book. Not an easy thing to do and you need specific setup to correctly press those thick books.
@@malcolmsmith5996 yea it definitely seemed a bit out of my league so I just
Cleaned and sent!
