- New York Times best-selling author Eric Metaxas new film (Based on his book of the same name) guides audiences through the
striking similarities between the church in Hitler’s early 1930’s Nazi Germany, the political regimes of Mao and Stalin, and modern day America and her church. The historical and present parallels are unavoidable and grim. One man bravely and boldly spoke up in 1933 to warn the German church of the
impending doom from the Nazi regime. His name was Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The majority of the church of his time chose not to listen or take action, therefore Hitler continued his reign of terror, death, and destruction. For the last 100 years, Marxism and communism has continued to evolve and spread throughout nations, slowly and silently infiltrating America.
This film sounds the alarm to a sleeping American church and God’s
people everywhere. Metaxas delivers a chilling clarion call to the Body of Christ to be modern day “Bonhoeffers”. If the church does not wake up from her slumber to clearly understand Marxist doctrine, the tactics that are used to manipulate her into compliance with it, the national and international
leaders and corporations who are promoting it, and which direction America is headed in, we will most certainly experience the same fate of previous totalitarian regimes.
Bishop Strickland agrees that that this is the hour of the American church.

Dear Father Bishop, you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned the word, (sleeping). I believe that the devil has successfully managed to bring about a cloud of confusion, sleepiness and indifference. People today are sleeping and oblivious to what is going on in our Church today.
They are also unaware of what is going on in the US and the global world.🥵
Read the book of Revelation and the book of Matthew. It's nothing new it needs to happen because the Father God is watching and this is the sign of the new Jerusalem is coming. Pray for the souls (all) for healing and awakening. Because soon God will show his wrath.. and Jesus Christ shall come with legions of angels for judgment. So like Jesus Christ said in the end time's do not be afraid and stay close to me. What a wonderful message and instruction ❤. Remember we are already victorious over Evil if Christ is with us. Great Evils will come and we need to be ready to stand with Jesus.

My daughter and I have disabilities and can’t attend mass or confession.i used to be a cantor at our cathedral. Our diocese is still good thanks to our last pastor. There are 2 Latin masses a week and we have a traditional order of nuns serving the diocese. I very much fear what is coming down the road based on the proclivities of Frances.
I consider us hermits in a way but we can use the internet. I am very sad for the priests, bishops and cardinals who remain faithful. You are being martyred. I will watch the documentary and pray.
Don't be afraid. PRAY for conversion. Fear does not come from God.

We are definitely living in a time where what was once good and wholesome is evil and what was once diavolically evil is good. It's been a slow decline of morality since the sexual revolution of the early 60s. I am interested in this film.
