Genuinely *adored* this show and recommended it to friends. I kind of get why it might not be for some people, but at the same time I feel we need this type of hopeful, optimistic, lighthearted and funny art that still has an emotional core (much like Ted Lasso).
I still hated how Ivy cheated on Chuck in the Harley Quinn series but I'm happy he moved beyond that. I'm even happier that he met someone who loves him with the same intensity as he loves them. He deserves it.
I vote Teen Titans for your next show. As for this show I think it was honest and encapsulated by Kite-man's quote earlier in Harley Quinn. "I may be simple, but I'm not stupid."
cant believe this is 'mid' this has probably been my favorite dcau project. well actually, plain pancakes are my favorite, and i love a leisurely drive in a minivan so you might be right. im ok with being mid
Keith David as Darkseid is such a genius casting idea and his lines were hilarious 😂 It's also surreal hearing Darkseid swear had no right to as funny as it was.
I was so hyped when they revealed the name of the show was going to be "Noonan's" , because Garth Ennis is in my top 5 favorite comic book writers, and *Hitman* was my first DC title from him that I collected (all 60 issues... then I moved on to Preacher, then The Boys, then Punisher, Nick Fury, and the rest is history). So obviously, Noonan's _sleazy_ Bar has a special place in my heart, and I (reasonably, I thought) hoped that a show made around the bar itself would have to present a more faithful depiction than what we got in *Harley Quinn* , which was just an extended cameo/wink-wink-nudge-nudge for the fans. But sadly the Sean Noonan from Kite-Man was nothing like the one from *Hitman* (which is a real shame considering they got Jonathan Banks to voice him, it could have been great) , Tommy Monaghan was nowhere to be seen, no Natt the Hat, no Hacken, no Ringo, no Pat Noonan, and worst of all, no _Baytor, Demon Lord of Madness_ ... All we got was some soulless cameos from Sixpack, and a strangely amicable version of Moe & Joe Dubelz, who are nothing like their comic book counterparts. Even a picture of Superman behind the counter with "To all the Boys at Noonan's" as an homage to the great Hitman #34 *"Of Thee I Sing"* (which won the 1999 Eisner for best single story) would have been nice, but I didn't even get that. Oh well. Next season maybe? Tommy would have been such a cool addition to the cast, why, oh why?
Bane is like Jack Sparrow, he's a perfect supporting character, he doesn't *have* to be the main character. They clearly had an idea for kiteman that they didn't have for bane
Although Bane should have gotten his own series because he’s the best overall I enjoyed it because it made me laugh and darkseid and his choir was also hilarious but Keith David did a good job so I gave it a 7.5 out of 10
I love Kite Man, the character. I was there when Tom King first brought him back as a running gag, and I was there when he said "no wait, I should give him the most tragic backstory ever for shits and giggles". To this day, I'm delighted every time he appears in anything with his iconic catchphrase "Kite Man, Hell Yeah!" This show was just too much for me. I liked Kite Man in the Harley Quinn show fine enough, but there's a limit. It's the Cars 2 problem where the simple funny character gets way too much focus. Except I like Cars 2 because the Greek dub is genuinely hillarious
Loved the show, I really liked Lance Reddick as Lex Luthor. Felt pretty bummed out when halfway through one of the last episodes, his voice suddenly changed to a really bad Lance Reddick impersonator because Lance died IRL. It's like Keith David voicing Darkseid in this show, because Michael Ironside has health issues now. I like Keith David's voice though.
I like it a little more then Harley quin . But fine was the word for it . hay have u ever seen the dc show powerless it's another show no one talks about
My favoueite character: Goldilocks. Couldnt get enough of her. I was so happy she stayed for a few episodes, and incredibly sad (for myself and Bane) when she took a doo doo in the time traveling toilet.
You were spot on with the minivan comparison, and I loved it for it, the supporting cast like with the star Baneeeee, the part time teacher, the WW1 Noonan veteran, and goth rich girl Malice, with everyone else were a great source of comedy but also at the end felt like the definition of found family, at the chicken episode when everyone was giving all out “don’t worry guys, we got this” :'3 and at the finale too, the all out brawls were so creative and fun, and Malice first lying to her god-daddy and then turning them in to trying to save their lives, bro, I ended up emotionally invested with the group as a whole :'3
Tommy Monaghan would have been such a great addition to the main cast, I truly don't understand why they decided just not to use him... and Natt the Hat, and Ringo, and Hacken, and Baytor, and Pat Noonan, and a Sean Noonan who looks & acts like his *Hitman* counterpart, not the neutered version we got in "Kite-Man: Hell Yeah!" (such a waste of Jonathan Banks). I suppose Darkseid drinking at Noonan's Sleazy Bar could be a reference to *DC: The Doomed and the Damned* story "Baytor vs Darkseid" , but that's just a wild guess from me...
I was so excited for this show when it was announced, but I think I stopped watching after ep 5. It’s just…not good. And it’s a bummer. I think Harley Quinn’s show was the best dc show that’s ever existed (at least, before the Penguin started airing) so I was hyped for this spin-off. But boy did I think it fell flat.
Mid is the word, sadly... I literally forgot about this show 😱😱. I think the last episode I saw was the one she fought naked at the spa . . . which should have been enough to get me to watch the next episode at least 😝
Yeah, I watched this show weekly, and it was pretty eh. Wasn't a fan of Kite-Man, himself, being a submissive doormat who worships his girlfriend when he's not invading her privacy for the sake of the plot. Everything else felt pretty bog standard otherwise.
Did they genuinely have to have ivy cheat on him like what the fuck. Like I don't like the Harley Quinn ivy romance because it's built on them being cheaters and if you cheat on one person you'll cheat on anybody I don't trust ivy.
Kite Man just isn't an interesting character. He wasn't interesting in the screen time he had, and having a full series based of that is baffling to me. A 1 dimensional spoof of a character shouldn't really have a TV series.
These are the most unrealistic relationships ever. If this is how men and women have to behave to be considered healthy and valid, literally nobody will ever be permanently married.
DC must hate Wonder Woman because Kiteman getting his own animated series before Wonder Woman is disrespectful. Even if it was something Woke like the Harley Quinn series it would be something.
No one knows what to do with Wonder Woman. No other superhero is as much of a reaction to the society they exist in, at least in such a way that it affects their core character. Some of her most beloved portrayals are when she is a fish out of water, but that's a gimmick with an expiration date. I think it's okay for DC to skip over her in favor of other characters, as long as they remember that other female characters exist.
A wonder woman show would suck balls. She has no real rogues or family. She kinda had that with the Greek gods but DC seems hate that part of her comics.

I fully agree. It may not be the best show but it's just so nice

It was originally going to be titled "Noonan's", I think they changed it because no one would know what the heck that was.

Next season maybe?
Tommy would have been such a cool addition to the cast, why, oh why?
Honestly this should had been the Bane Series than Kite Man as Bane is literally the Best Character in the Show.
Mark my words, there probably will b a Bane spinoff
I don’t know if I could listen to that freakin voice for 22 minutes straight though 💀
And him with Goldie Locks 🥹 I really hope she was saved at the end
Maybe Bane is best like a comedic side character, there are examples when the funny side character gets his own movie or show and it can’t hold up
Bane is like Jack Sparrow, he's a perfect supporting character, he doesn't *have* to be the main character. They clearly had an idea for kiteman that they didn't have for bane

As much as I'd love to see the Teen Titans talkback, I'm more interested in static shock since it isn't talked about as much.
I love Kite Man, the character. I was there when Tom King first brought him back as a running gag, and I was there when he said "no wait, I should give him the most tragic backstory ever for shits and giggles". This has made me genuinely so curious. What's up with the greek Cars 2 dub?
Loved the show, I really liked Lance Reddick as Lex Luthor. Felt pretty bummed out when halfway through one of the last episodes, his voice suddenly changed to a really bad Lance Reddick impersonator because Lance died IRL.
It's like Keith David voicing Darkseid in this show, because Michael Ironside has health issues now. I like Keith David's voice though.
Yeah, Ironside has an iconic voice, but I feel like Keith David gives Darkseid some comedic timing.
WB made a Kite Man spin-off, but tried to get rid of Batman Caped Crusader and My Adventures with Superman.
This company deserves to fail.
How did they try to get rid of my adventures with Superman
At least both of those are getting more seasons. I can’t say the same for other DC cartoons.
I would love to hear you talk about Static Shock. I think there's a ton to talk about there.
I like it a little more then Harley quin . But fine was the word for it . hay have u ever seen the dc show powerless it's another show no one talks about

I think it's hilarious that they made a spinoff of Kite Man. These shows are great.
“I always talks about it!!! Babe, you just don’t listen.”
Bane & darkseid are the best part of this show
Ah, Noonan's!
Miss you a bunch Tommy.
Tommy Monaghan would have been such a great addition to the main cast, I truly don't understand why they decided just not to use him... and Natt the Hat, and Ringo, and Hacken, and Baytor, and Pat Noonan, and a Sean Noonan who looks & acts like his *Hitman* counterpart, not the neutered version we got in "Kite-Man: Hell Yeah!" Give me a second. I'm going to watch it
I would love to see more videos about Static Shock. It is hardly talked about and I find that sad.
Kite man, Fuck Yeah! -Best catch phrase ever
I was wondering if you will even talk about it.
He would’ve expected kite man getting this much attention
Please do Static Shock next
The show reminds me in a way of this really old UA-cam show from ItsJustSomeRandomGuy
I literally forgot about this show 😱😱. I think the last episode I saw was the one she fought naked at the spa . . . which should have been enough to get me to watch the next episode at least 😝
I'm assuming Harley Quinn is like fleabag in that she is also a morally bankrupt scumbag that everyone acts like is a hero
Make a video about the Runaways tv show and the Cloak and Dagger tv show
They aren't addressed enough as far as marvel projects go
cheers theme. nice
Static for my nostalgia, lol
Heh, heh..."Charlie Brown"
KITE MAN
HELL YEAH
This show wasn’t anything special, but it was still a nice watch. I can’t say the same for Harley Quinn season 4.
Yeah, I watched this show weekly, and it was pretty eh. Wasn't a fan of Kite-Man, himself, being a submissive doormat who worships his girlfriend when he's not invading her privacy for the sake of the plot. Everything else felt pretty bog standard otherwise.
Teen titans is great but static shock always needs more attention.
Ought self?
Also why does so much of the discussion of the show feel like a visit to a therapist?
Wait, this show came out?
Did they genuinely have to have ivy cheat on him like what the fuck. Like I don't like the Harley Quinn ivy romance because it's built on them being cheaters and if you cheat on one person you'll cheat on anybody I don't trust ivy.
Hell yeah
Forgot this show existed 💀Was Kite Man really so great that they had to give him his own show 🫠
No. I remember when they announced it everyone was really confused it wasnt bane, king shark or clayface
Shows pretty fuckn mid. But i like this video
Hum .... Hi :D
lol - you had it right with the first title. "Meh."
Great, now I don't have to watch it!
All that just to say “I still think the show is kind of mid” lol
Huh
Thanks for giving this mid-show the attention it still deserves! Hell Yeah!
Kite Man just isn't an interesting character. He wasn't interesting in the screen time he had, and having a full series based of that is baffling to me. A 1 dimensional spoof of a character shouldn't really have a TV series.
Comment
I never knew I could care about the Kite-man tv show.
I mean, I still don't, but still.
idk what to comment so uhhh what’s everyone’s favorite type of cheese
Cow
Pepper Jack or Sharp Cheddar
Cheddar. But also Gruyere.
Cheddar
Fitting that Kite Man's show is as mid as he is
Kite Man: Hell No?
Kite Man gets a series before Wonder Woman 💀
These are the most unrealistic relationships ever. If this is how men and women have to behave to be considered healthy and valid, literally nobody will ever be permanently married.
DC must hate Wonder Woman because Kiteman getting his own animated series before Wonder Woman is disrespectful. Even if it was something Woke like the Harley Quinn series it would be something.
woke? 🥴🥴🥴
I would love to see a Wonder Woman show similar to how they're doing the new Superman animated show.
No one knows what to do with Wonder Woman. No other superhero is as much of a reaction to the society they exist in, at least in such a way that it affects their core character. Some of her most beloved portrayals are when she is a fish out of water, but that's a gimmick with an expiration date. A wonder woman show would suck balls. She has no real rogues or family. She kinda had that with the Greek gods but DC seems hate that part of her comics.
Damn, crazy how those two things are not mutually exclusive and that we could only get one or the other
