Challenge idea: RNG Is the Enemy
Begin with your ideal/choice PvP set-up (whichever combat style you prefer), then proceed to complete three Slayer tasks (including one free skip). As you obtain drops, you must substitute each procedurally obtained, combat-style-relevant downgrade for your corresponding ideal set-up slots until you have completed your three tasks.
E.G.: Toxic Staff of the Dead > Trident of the Seas > Earth Battlestaff, Abyssal Whip > Rune Battleaxe > Bronze Dagger, etc.; repeat for all equipment slots you get drops for. The "combat style relevant" limitation prevents you from having to cast Ice Barrage with a rune scimitar. This can work in your favor: for instance, if you choose melee at the start and don't get a platelegs drop, you can take your Dharok's platelegs to the end fight. For an increased challenge, all three tasks may optionally only be obtained from Duradel. For the reveal, you could stand in your ideal gear, then run through each slot and gradually equip all of your downgrades slot by slot.
Additional clarification: Just as in previous slayer challenges, the drops you obtain only affect your gear in the end fight, not what you must use to complete your tasks. So, the only gear subject to getting worse is what you use to fight each other.

i feel like a great idea would be to have a pool of like 10 assorted monsters, and then you go 1 and 1 choosing what monsters each other could kill within an hour or two. maybe like 3 monsters each or something.

In any future challenges that you go melee and end up going to Burthorpe for food, make a trip and go grab yourself climbing boots.
They're 12 gp, and well worth the investment for the final battle.
Not sure on the difference, but I'd prefer them over Insulated boots.

I can't use shops :p The only "shop" that's ever allowed in no-shop challenges is the tanner.
@@Rargh I meant future challenges. I watched the banned skills challenge where you went melee at green dragons. You ran ALL the way to warriors guild to get potatos at the end and dropped your coins but didn't go grab climbers.

you should do a video were you start with fresh accounts then you can only have 50k total xp and fight, then do 100k, 250k, 500k, 1m. Each fight you can buy the gear depending on your stats
