If you get sea sick stay towards the middle and low. Less rocking. I don’t get the expense part. Most

For people who are prone to seasickness, they should pick midship cabins, where the vibrations from the ocean waves will be less, and ideally a lower level closer to the sea level.

I'm cruising to Alaska next year and I wanted an exterior cabin actually I have a balcony normally I sell on an inside cabin cuz it's a lot less expensive and we spend our most of our time on Deck anyway but I wanted to see some of the sites without the crowds and we can put the spotting scope up and watch the shoreline and see what kind of wildlife we can see or whales if that's even possible in Alaska I've been told not to forget your binoculars but I do have a spotting scope as well

Sometimes it’s cheaper to get two rooms rather than stuff 4 people into one. It’s happened to us

Also, I only shower and sleep in the cabin I'm there for the experience but it would be nice to treat your self of course.

If you are considering fore, aft or mid ships for a cabin, consider this: Entertainment is at the bow, dining is near the stern. So no matter where your cabin is located, you are going to do a certain amount of walking. Eat 3 meals and your cabin is forward, you walk more but nearer to the entertainment. Near the stern? You will walk more to get to the theater. Locate mid ships? You will walk less to meals. Any way you look at it, you will have to walk to get to where you want to go.

Exactly. As mentioned in the video, forward/aft isn't that big a deal. You'll be everywhere!

If you're getting hammered at the shows, get a room closer so you don't have to crawl as far 🤣🤣🤣

    I’ll be doing a B2B for my B-Day
I’m not prone to seasickness so I could go anywhere on the ship but I tend to try the midsection of the ship.

I'm taking my 1st cruise on the miracle on August 22nd for a 10 day vacay. Though I have been told that getting a balcony going to Alaska would be ideal, I ended up going with the interior cabin On the Empress deck on the front AND the end of the hall. I made sure to check that cabins were above and below me.I did indeed do it to save money because I want to spend most of my money Experiencing Alaska at the port of calls. I know that if you get seasick to stay low and in the middle but honestly I don't know if I get seasick since I've never Been on a boat for more than a few hours lol. I'm super excited nonetheless 🤗

@@runningkirkwa2934 I'm waiting to disembark as I type this. Alaska was beautiful but fun on the ship itself was pretty boring 😑

I got seasick on the Miracle. I was mid ship deck 8. Never got sick before. I learned that the Miracle is the narrowest ship in the fleet thus a lot more rocking and rolling. Very true. A lot of motion. Will never cruise on her again and I found the decor gawdy.

Something to note, suites are nice, but noteworthy on the smaller and older ships, even these higher end rooms are around common areas and can still be uncomfortably noisy or busy right outside your front door or windows. BE MINDFUL OF THE DECK PLAN especially if you're going to splurge on a luxury suite room. Nothing is worse than spending thousands only to find out after you board that your room door is on the main promenade where all the shops are, with daily events on the multiple balconies running until midnight or later with people gathered to sing and dance right outside your door with your room full of windows streaming the sun in bright and early in the day with all the pool activity and noise all day long.
I haven't done this but while exploring the ship I was surprised to find the small number of high end rooms on one ship with this exact situation. At one point while walking around, a family left their room dressed out for the pool while I was peering over the balcony at the shops below. It felt like I was intruding. I can't imagine I was the only peasant who wound up on those balconies the entire week.

I went on the Mardi Gras and went on the 15th floor I think that was good

Another thing to consider is if you choose a balcony room, are you ok with obstructed views? Check you ship's deck plans to see where the life boats are located. One could be right in front of your balcony.

Looks and comfortable I get but the best cabins are in mid ship the center to center least roll and up and down motion 🤷🏻‍♂️ js.. Still want that balcony 🤣

Congrats! I think you'll love that room if you are a fan of visiting the spa. As you know, there are perks included with those Cloud 9 rooms.

Away from noise, isolated from pools, restaurants, and elevators.
