    There’s some events that offers free drinks. At least on Carnival, like there a free liquor tasting on the first night and the art auctions you are given a glass of champagne.

    My granddaughter checked out a pool towel, however she did not turn it into the same towel station from which she checked out. She left the towel on her bed. I didn’t realize until I returned from the cruise and received my bill that I was charged $25 for her towel. This really ticked me off. Now I make sure before I debark from the ship to get my final bill.

    🎉NCL, Princess and Holland America have had a great selection of movies available for free. In the main dining room you can also ask for half portions, if you want to try multiple entrees. The menus will soecify if something is extra, such as on formal nights if you want extra lobster. Read and ask.

    At 3:30, this may generally be true, but Cunard still offers free room service. We've sailed the QM2, and you can get food delivered to your room--any time, day or night--at no extra cost.

    For disabilities:
    The ships are very accommodating, yes. The ports, not always. So if you have mobility issues, that can be a let down. 😢

      'very' I would use loosely - Any ship that pulls into the US *MUST* follow the ADA standards - Do they? *NO* look how difficult it is to get through the casino, some of the Schooner bars, a regular person walking can't even Navigate. Pool Deck? If people dont have their Sh*t (Towels bags etc) in the walk ways. Do you want a seat during a show? you better be there 30 minutes before they open the doors, or the few wheelchair spot get filled up with Walkers and Scooters, and those people then move into a seat beside their walker or scooter. Heck Genie's 'reserve' that back row for 'their people' they get quite upset when they ask me to move, and I ask them 'Move where?????' Any Tender port, we are unable to get off at. Excursions are few (if any) I could go on ;)

    FYI, for NCL Alaska cruise last month, that last freebie about luggage is not valid. It's $27 each way you pay to have luggage picked up at airport (large U-Haul truck was used on mine) and delivered to the ship while we road in the bus. Same for coming back to airport.

    • @oldergent5266
      @oldergent5266 3 місяці тому +1

    Im sorry, you have misspoken on the Accessible Cabins being the SAME PRICE as regular Cabins - On Royal Caribbean, when booking, you can save money by letting RC 'Pick your Cabin' BUT there is an UPCHARGE per person for you to pick your own cabin. UNFORTUNATELY - Being a fulltime wheelchair user, I am FORCED to pick my own cabin, and they can not guarantee me an accessible cabin ANY other way. So - We do pay MORE for our accessible cabins, sometimes HUNDREDS of Dollars more per person. :( :(

    • @Cruzelycom
      @Cruzelycom  3 місяці тому +1

      Great info. That's frustrating. I went through the booking process and what you described was my experience. So if you pick your cabin, it's the same price as picking an accessible room. But if you normally let the cruise line pick, then picking an accessible cabin can be more.

    • @rickrettinger9444
      @rickrettinger9444 3 місяці тому

      @@Cruzelycom The accessible ALWAYS is more - if you 'let the cruise line pick your cabin' they will not guarantee you'll get an accessible cabin. Also, they sometimes put the Accessible Cabins in the 'Spacious' Categories. IE Spacious Ocean View - Which we know is also more than the regular O/V - Now, do you want a fun fact ? The Icon has 2805 total cabins - and only 50 'Wheelchair' accessible cabins. That is .017 PERCENT. So less than 2% of the cabins are Wheelchair accessible - Now, lets talk about 2 PASSENGER Cabins - yes, there are even LESS, and you need to get a special OK from Royal, if you are only 2 passengers and only 3 or 4 passenger cabins are left. ALSO they are not reserved for 'Wheelchairs' They do a decent job of screening but it could be better. There is Accessible Cabin abuse, just like Accessible Parking Abuse :( One other thing... We were on the Wonder Nov 2023, we went to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and Costa Maya - Take a guess HOW MANY Accessible EXCURSIONS there were. . . *ONE* that could only carry *TWO* Wheelchairs. (I wont count the accessible excursion in Belize, because its a tender port... Wheelchairs on a Tender? LOL - NOPE ! If you ever want to chat more about Accessibility for Wheelchairs on Royal Caribbean, I could fill up a month of your shows - we've been on quite a few, and have 17 planned between Sept 15th 2024 and May 30th 2025 :)

    Thank you. I have a possibly dumb question. Do cruise ships have in-cabin shampoo, conditioner and lotion like hotels do?

    • @Cruzelycom
      @Cruzelycom  3 місяці тому +3

      Yes, but not in fancy bottles. It's in a dispenser on the wall.

    • @dchenkin02
      @dchenkin02 3 місяці тому

      Cabins usually have one shower dispenser for soap and one for shampoo. I always bring my own on the ship since I need specific shampoo and soap. Cruise ships don't have size restrictions so you can bring standard, non airline compliant, size bottles.

    In a sea of suitcases, is there any order to them on the port ?
    I find it daunting, looking for my luggage.
    I will be on deck 15. Is it top first?

    • @rickrettinger9444
      @rickrettinger9444 3 місяці тому +1

      The only order is the Number you are assigned to get off of the ship. If you are number 1-6 your luggage will be ready for you. Dont go to the luggage area, if you are number #30 - because your luggage wont be there, until #29 clears the area. If you want to get off the ship 1st, do strictly Carry ons with No Luggage assistance.

    Your math is ridiculous, the suite you have to pay the $550+ TWICE so the price is a little over $1100 vs. the the $600+, for the studio. I like the solo cabin ‘cuz even though it’s an inside it’s got the digital faux window that on a Alaska Inside Passage cruise I can just watch inside my cabin and I LIKE having the lounge nearby where you can easily get a beverage or snack (don’t have to go to another floor and no fridge to store food in room) or easily find a single person to talk to, it’s quiet there if you want to read or find a place to play a game more privately, the card room is hot. I would sail on it just for the good solo program but the food is mediocre, too many surcharges and read a horrific account of a person who had travel insurance (not Norwegiansmbut third party) and has difficulty getting the codes to have her Medicare reimburse her, I know from experience NCL NEVER replies to cus support emails. Celebrity is high, but they DO answer emails and if you have medical needs they really help you.
