Lake Nona is the best place to live in Orlando, and clearly the one people have their eyes on, considering investments, sales, and rapidly growing equity in the area. The best real estate investment someone could make now in Orlando.
    Thanks for the video, Ken!

Nah, Mills and Ivanhoe take the cake.
But Lake Nona is on the top 5 list

I just moved here and am staying in temporary housing and I want to say that my impression of Lake Nona is that if you are a high tech worker from the West Coast you're not going to like it here. It's a town with a couple of hospitals and a KMPG office that's it. And technology workers are not going to want to relocate here. I'm sure Disney workers are relieved to not have to move here. I'm sorry but that is the truth. And if this is best part of Orlando then I'm relocating to another city.

@@winstonsmith6204 Yes, places nobody makes videos on and nobody has ever heard. Totally realistic.
If there is no demand, there are no videos, so nobody cares about "Mills and Ivanhoe".

@@jacque4697 You sound like someone who has spent 2 hours passing by Lake Nona with 0 knowledge of the area, and has absolute no fucking clue of what he is talking about.
Technology workers are already here, and there are plenty of jobs that pay really well, aside from being a huge work from home destination for workers that don't need to be in the office (over 32% of people WFH).
There have been billions of dollars in investment, constant construction, and the amenities are incredible, including the best internet in the country.
Ah, and I know you are also misinformed about Disney because you are probably one of those weirdos that uses the whole thing for political reasons, but guess what, Disney still owns that part of land and they are likely gonna do something with it.
I don't need to tell you that Lake Nona, and especially Laureate Park, is one of the best communities in the country; the many articles, reviews and increasingly rapidly equity in the area does it.
But hey, if you love the "West Coast", I know you love dirty streets, needles, crime, businesses leaving your city and bad politics, so I am sure this is not for ya. Stay there, we don't want you here!

West Palm Beach has a lot of gated communities. I use to live there. I miss the builders there because they planned the communities much better than Orlando. The communities were gated and had tennis and basketball and 3 pools and a gym. The communities in Orlando lack activities

Although not technically Lake Nona (we like to refer to ourselves as "the new/improved Lake Nona" lol), perhaps a side mention of Del Webb Sunbridge right off Narcoose as an active 55+ gated community might have warranted a call out? Prices still start at under $400k and it's a great community to call home with both resales and new builds available.

I looked at Sunbridge and was very disappointed. $465k for the smallest lowest priced unit which was like a narrow concrete block home with cheap tile floors, little to no outdoor space, and with a $600+ HOA fee. The location is isolated 15 to 30 minute drive from Lake Nona, depending on traffic congestion periods, and looked like a prison for elderly people. In fact one could not design a better prison for the elderly.

@@jacque4697 Sounds like you need therapy because the issue are not the neighborhoods you are visiting, which are top neighborhoods in the country, but you.
Sunbridge is a very new community and is still being built as we speak; whoever buys into it now will enjoy a gorgeous area and will be a millionaire soon because of equity, just like those that bought in Laureate Park years ago.

Baffling why people think living in a gated community is a solution to anything.. You separate yourself from the context of your community and nation, inhibit your kids from learning broader interpersonal skills in society, and encourage them to think in a 'them and us' mindset...it's a big admission of resignation and failure and makes the sense of injustice and bad feeling even worse.. You can't keep society's problems at arms reach forever, and it's only someone else's problem until the day the gates get broken down.

I'm in Lake Nona now and my impression is that there's nothing here, no Whole Foods, no Trader Joes, only Publix. You mention nice shopping as in 7 Eleven and SAMs club? No nice shopping areas. It's just an overpriced residential area with no amenities. Need to drive 30 minutes across town to access anything. The best thing Lake Nona is that everything is new so don't have a lot of older decaying homes like in most of Orlando.
