Usually for a new phone, the adaptive battery will need a few days to learn your usage pattern and adapt to give better battery life. You can try set the refresh rate to 60Hz (Standard) and see if there is any big difference.
The S21 FE has good features, but I don't think it fits the "fan edition" title. When I think fan edition, I think something with a great 120hz AMOLED, a good chipset, flagship like software update schedule/support, IP water resistance (which Chinese phones don't usually have) and of course an SD card and a headphone jack. The S21FE fits most of these, but the upper mid range A52S 5G probably fits it even more. The chip is weaker and more of a 2019-2020 flagship chip (still good). But with a cheaper price, a headphone jack, an SD card and all around great specs, it seems like a phone that enthusiasts would appreciate. Regardless, the S21FE is still a good semi flagship phone. Just not a proper Fan Edition in my opinion.
In your article under the "Software, camera, first impressions" page #3 you mistakenly wrote "Price-wise, it's not really that competitive as the S20 5G is already selling for a lower price." instead of "Price-wise, it's not really that competitive as the S21 5G is already selling for a lower price.".
Bought the s21 fe for approx 450 USD for 8 256GB Model and I'm happy. Happy s21fe user here as well :) The pricing is not too bad in South Africa when you are on a 36 month contract(cheaper than a 13 mini). I am coming from a iphone 7 and huawei y9 prime so the battery, performance, screen and camera is really good so far. The fact that you don't get a charge adapter is annoying though. I am also using the exyonos variant. I was skeptical at first like most would be but honestly cannot compain.

Samsung dropped the ball with the S21FE. Lacking expandable memory and late to market, with a street price that is higher than the S21. FE should be giving value and what the fans want. The A52S is a better deal with the lower price, expandable memory and headphone jack. The S20FE is also a better deal.
Samsung now is not Samsung that we used to know. They keep following IPhone steps. From removing audio jack, no micro sd card slot, and now there 's no power brick in the box anyway. They think if Apple can sell their products with removing all those items to increase their profit with good sell, so why can't we just try to follow what Apple did. Mocking iPhone first, then copying what they did (such a hypocrite /pathetic effort). They don't care and listen what consumers want anymore. As long as they can sell with higher profit. I'm used to be a Samsung fan and always buy their latest flagship because I'm so happy and satisfied with their products. But not anymore.. I'm done with Samsung.. They become such copy cat things and greedy company's.

I Was actually thinking about getting this phone, since I still have the A51. But no headphone Jack? and no extra storage slot? Yuck! Lol. We'll see tho.
A charger is not a feature. It's an addition. And one that's not very necessary. Most people have enough cables already. I know I do. I get that it's an additional $ grab but if ur spending thousands on a phone an extra 10/20 bucks sure won't be breaking the bank. It's not that big of an issue and it really doesn't make sense to continuously complainin about it years and yearrsssss after market transition. Almost no manufacturer is selling a phone with headphones in the box or with a headphone jack anymore. Sadly that's like what?...6/7yrs ago? It's not like it's impossible for a waterproof phone to have a jack. Companies don't care abt the complaints of the minority. If they did they'd change it. Yet i keep seeing comments like yours and other ppl saying they won't buy a phone they really like only bcuz there's no jack. 🙄😅. Now no expandable storage? Watching in my S21 fe. You can hate the price but the phone is superb ❤
How is the battery life? What was your last phone before s21 fe? Is battery life on s21 fe satisfying?
@@arashheidari8112 My last phone was iphone 11 and samsung A50. The battery is decent and charging is fast. This is one of the best phone i have.
Happy s21fe user here as well :)
The pricing is not too bad in South Africa when you are on a 36 month contract(cheaper than a 13 mini).
I am coming from a iphone 7 and huawei y9 prime so the battery, performance, screen and camera is really good so far. The fact that you don't get a charge adapter is annoying though.
I am also using the exyonos variant. I was skeptical at first like most would be but honestly cannot compain.
@@mattthemightymeme Yeah i have the exynos variant too. It's butter! The only thing that separates this from s21 is the camera the feels and the haptic all is equal. But i need more battery and bigger screen so i choose this also the glasstic back is not that bad it's still has premium feel on it. 🤗
Price hating 🖕😎
Just get the s20 fe 5g or the A52s they are much cheaper and offer same if not better features
Thank you
I am switching from LG V30+ to s20 fe 5g.
Is it vivo x60 or s20fe 5g for camera lover?
better features like? apart from the lack of micro sd, the new version is also slightly smaller and has a better processor. The ghost touch problem in the s20 fe also is annoying and it wasn't really fixed with software updates.
How exactly is it better than s20 fe 🤔 thinking of getting one
@@nishilbright2007 processor improvement, gorilla glass victus, and in my opinion better and more compact design... it lost the micro sd slot though
The A52s 5G is a good shout 120hz headphone jack ip67 rating not got wireless charging but for me I'm not bothered about that all I care about is 120hz and 5G I couldn't got back to a 4G phone now or not having 120hz
Is it good if i change from a galaxy s10 to a new s21 fe? Is it worth it?
Hi gsmarena, what would you recommend for me: motorola edge 20 pro or this Samsung S21 FE?
If you buy this from samsung its heavily discounted. I did a trade in of a 10e and got it for 360$. Last month they were throwing in the buds live at $450.
It's performance and display are of great value for money. Great smartphone in this price range.
I got the 8/256 model + galaxy buds for 560 €. I think it was a great deal.
GSMArena Official You did not go over the IR Blaster Feature
I've had the S21 over a year now and it's a excellent choice of phone, I highly recommend it to anyone. 👌
Nice video. Forgot to add the video stabilization test???
Will I be able to rely on good battery power lasting also in, say, 18 months after purchasing this phone?
Do you feel like the pictures have a weird sharpness?
@Help me reach 1k subs thanks for your reply! I got one but i feel that the pictures look too crispy and a bit brown (probably due to the darkening of dark areas like wood floor veins) :(
Samsung dropped the ball with the S21FE.
@@zdefry Time to switch to oppo find x3 pro. I will choose that over this s21fe. Who cares about telephoto cams.
@@zdefry I find the Xperia 1 III and 5 III a refreshing change in the Android world, with emphasis on optical photography, crazy 20 fps continuous autofocus, expandable memory slot and headphone jack!
@@HSNG10 Right, I think I'm going to buy Sony Xperia 1 iii. This is a great smartphone with distinctive its own style and still provide what we want, great chipset, high quality camera, slot micro sd for more storage if you want to, and last but not least is the headphone jack..!
@@zdefry I would buy it as well, but price keeps me away from buying it.
I have Samsung note 10 lite, should I go for this Samsung s21 fe or Samsung s20 fe?
S20 FE would be recommended in my opinion cos its cheaper and has micro sd slot and a charger inside but if micro sd slot and charger doesn't matter to you then the S21 FE would just be alright.
All I wanna know is what games did you play in the video? They look great
I Was actually thinking about getting this phone, since I still have the A51. But no headphone Jack? and no extra storage slot? Yuck! Lol. We'll see tho.
No headphone Jack, no Micro SD slot , no charger 😐😞
@@mihaics23 Yeah. I ended up grabbing the S20 FE 5G. No complaints what so ever.
More like S21 Fail Edition since there's no expandable storage and lacks more fan desired features like a headphone jack and a charger.
That's extremely disappointing AND a step back from a tech pov.
Great review as usual 👍🏻☺️
In my country the regular S21 is still more expensive than this phone,so i think this one is a real bargain
where do you live?
Same in South Africa
Well, how about a snapdragon 8 gen1 phone.? How powerful is the chip? Waiting for the review of The chip.
The Realme GT2 is the first phone launched with the SoC. Check out those reviews. I heard 1 mil+ Antutu score, but that's a pretty "meh" metric.
Okay
Please answer my question , should i exchange my OnePlus 7t pro(256gb) for a brand new Realme gt master edition(256gb) ???
Just bought one yesterday
and the battery is quickly draining fast.
You need to give it few days.
Battery life is always 💩 at the beginning.
Is it possible to still get this phone NEW at this time of the year?
It's almost nowhere on the market
Yes, I found a lavender one 256gb open box new on eBay for 250.
Any green line issue on updating to 6.1
Great phone, bad pricing, bad timing
I was aiming to buy this phone, but due to postponed release date, got the s20 fe snapdragon instead
please advise me about S21 FE battery life for now per 2022 July, because i heard rumour after some updates it will get better got SoT 5-6 hrs more and no overheating randomly, is that correct?
( my region got Exynos chip)
which phone would you recommend at this price range, or similar specs by cheaper? 11T pro?
Do you think that the S21 FE and Galaxy Watch 4 bundle are worth 700 euros?
The selfie camera is not 8MP because you can see that if you google the phone you can see that the selfie camera is 32MP although he might of went into the camera settings and accidentally switched to 8MP mode.
Shame, waited this long, but rivals will have newer processors, and again some feature missing, example SD Slot, smaller screen and etc...
Is there any chance, that you could do a review on
PinePhone Pro | PINE64 Smartphone?
Which one of the two has more screen to body ratio?
S21 FE or S22?
It's feel so good with my s21 fe
What about battery life? How many hours does it last? You have the snapdragon version right ?
@@dragonhunter523172 hours
@@samsungfan6816 do you game on phone or just social media ?
Your shirt is telling the truth, WIll. LOL
In your opinion. Would you recommend this smartphone But with Exynos 2100?. I'm talk topics like battery?
Its rather than SD
Yes, for me i recommand the Exynos version. The 888 is not a battery friendly. You can view all phones with 888, they are not so good.
Thank you gsmarena i was desperately want this phone. This phone is over my budget which in Indonesia price about 9 milo wind I have only 6 milo for phone..however I still want this phone with a better price..
Will wait for S24 FE... Currently using S20 FE
All that's really missing from my A52s is a decent FP sensor, IR blaster, faster and wireless charging and it has a relatively small battery to support that 120hz FHD panel. Still, best phone i've had to date. Impressed by everything, speed, gaming, camera's, speakers. So i don't think these phones are worth it. A52s offers pretty much everything i need. Nice design on this one though.
Same here, was looking to buy a S21 FE, but the delays and the rumors that it does not have a headphone jack made me purchase the A52s. Does not regret it a single bit.
@@MiyuruSankalpa I actually regretted buying it. I really loved the design on the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE and it was super swift, it has the same processor as the A52s 5G. But not wanting to go the returningprocess, i decided to keep it. Don't regret it at all. Might be the best choice if you're looking for a phone under €400. What color did you go with?
@@dylangantrich8782 I bought the black one.
Just checked out the xiomi. It's good for the price range(no headphone jack though☹️), but I usually keep a phone for a long time and need good OS support, so I am happy with the purchase.
Did I hear it wrong. S21fe is capabale of 700 nits with typical slider?
Which better device would you recommend to me
A73 5G or S21 FE?
My priorities is recording videos, vlogs, consuming media, surfing internet and social media and emails.
Fe means fan edition its very good A version always have issue always buy galaxy
S21 is beter for games but a73 have more ram
And 500 mah extra get s21 fe 5g 256gb with 8 ram
Oh, the shots are taken where I live :)
The price will drop....it's a great phone....and I hear the pricing on the S22 is going to be higher than anticipated.

Only 6.4 Inch In A Time When Phones Are 6.6 Inch And Larger...And Only 4500mAh Battery In A Time Of Batteries 5000mAh And Larger??????? I'll Have To Rebrand This As Sadsung...
Xiaomi 12 or S21 Fe that is the question, main competitors for its sizes 6.23 inch vs 6.40 inch
Xiaomi 12 is worst on battery life and you have to handle with ads in Xiaomi.
Does S21 FE also get 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates?
Yes
3 years OS updates and 4 Years Security update
Does anyone have any idea why the GSMArena website and the Verizon website say that the s21FE is 6.24 ounces and the Samsung website says that the phone is 4.13 ounces? This is a significant difference?
did that miss out on video stability test?
It doesn't compare much with its predecessor and has come out pretty late
Samsung A53 5g or S21 FE Which phone is better?
S21 FE 8GB even the A52s is better than the A53 though still poor due to 6GB of ram not being enough on Samsung phones.
S21 FE I'd say
Hello my friends, do you know that Samsung S7/S8 have F1.7 aparture for their cameras (front/back) ?
bought one for $589 to replace my S20 FE. loving it

@Brilliant Movie Shots Lmaoo
$589..?? How come
@Brilliant Movie Shots I have one and am with att who are offering a deal for $15 a month for 36 months. So at the end of 3 years or If I choose to pay it off early it's only $540.
@Brilliant Movie Shots lol true. He may have exchanged s20 fe though. Win for samsung 😁
Happy with my S20 FE 5G tbh. I am good. 🙂
any issues with overheating?
is this worth it over the s20fe ?
Yes and no.
Please anyone help me to clear this confusion..
I have seen many samsung phone once we updates them the performance of the phone is slow and especially the camera is becoming fake and the photos will not be in good quality as before..
So is this one the same if we update it?
