You may find it difficult to believe, but more than half of those who voted for Brexit and were over the age of 70 at the time of the referendum in 2016 have already passed away. In other words, they handed over a scorched earth to future generations and departed. All of Britain's problems are caused by elderly people who have one foot in the grave but continue to harm the futures of future generations. This is a perfect example of British patriotism. I know this is difficult for some to believe, but the average height of five-year-olds in Britain has been declining due to poor nutrition and increased poverty. That is, since the Conservative Party took power in Britain and turned the country into a burned-out wasteland. Teachers in Britain have frequently warned that their students are hungry and unmotivated to learn, but the government has ignored their warnings.
The reason more than half of those who voted for Brexit and were over the age of 70 at the time of the referendum in 2016 is because older voters vote. The UK left the EU because of the people who didn't vote.

Brexit was a costly mistake, but it's neither the main cause of the current problems, nor the main concern going forwards. The current crisis has it's roots in the austerity policies of Cameron and Osborne which crippled public services while failing to improve the economy, leaving the UK especially vulnerable to Covid-19 and also the inflation caused by the Ukraine War. If Starmer can't repair the economy then public services will remain underfunded and living standards will keep falling, regardless of whether the UK is in or out of the EU.
Brexit has definitely made things worse, but our decline stems from decades of underinvestment into industry, an overheated property market and 15 years of government austerity. All of our infrastructure has been sold off to foreign countries as have most of our utilities. Living standards are declining and people are upset and feel that they are completely powerless to change anything. The solution to this myriad of problems is a lot more complex than just rejoining the EU (assuming that was even an option). We need a national purpose and targeted industries that we want to be globally competitive in, with government legislation and sustained investment over a period of decades.

EU decides it wants to harmonise certain tax legislation , money flow ,increase transparency in banking system . U.K. elite take fright ,don’t want the financially struggling general public knowing how much they conceal in tax havens .Mobilise “old boys network “ ,those who own the MSM to print anti EU stuff ….and here we are …it’s really that simple and venal Brexit was promoted as “all things to all men” and the English historical mistrust of foreigners.
That British guy conveniently forgot to say that much of the money going to the NHS is simply given to private companies, focusing on profit and not service. The Tories have accelerated the sale of the NHS, when social services should have stayed nationalised. The social gap in the UK,or better said England is dismaying and many people have no opportunities. Anybody depending on a payslip to survive, home owner or not, shouldn't vote Tory. Labour basic reason of existence is fighting for the rights of the many, whilst the Tories only focus on the very rich few. Look at Sunak's personal wealth, betting against the UK and making money disappear in tax heavens during the previous crises, now using his position to further increase his and his family's wealth whilst so many working people are destitute. That's the Tory spirit.

Untill then your choice is vote for the current lot who would move even furhter right if they got in again or Labour and get a shift to the left from the current position , ( or Lib Dem or SNP etc/ if voting tactically) or be cynic and stay at home. Starmer has to be seen to improve things or it will be a one term labour parliament and then we'll be back to the crazies......
You'll get a cosmetic Labour of course .
Starmer will be remembered as the best Conservative Prime Minister the Labour Party ever had. He is an untrustworthy politician with no consistent opinion or backbone. He offers us nothing to fix our country.
That was Blair.

@@edwardbernthal160So the UK left because of the older people - who voted to leave . If they hadn't there wouldn't have been a B****t !
@@xcel5203NO.
But it would have made a difference, if the younger ones (18+ at the time of referendum), would have voted as well !!
Sorry, but that's nonsense.
Not really. None are truly responding to the country’ needs
The immigration that they are talking about is only 1% is it important than UK people start to buy education for our kids , NHS . Public Service ? Since Tories in power the tutor company growth so fast . Friends of my daughter pay for math tutor £75/ week !! We paid tax for school how on earth the school can’t provide the best education ? Totally US system and like most of Asia where only the richer can have the best education . Tories love this b‘coz they want to private everything.
Why would you think high taxes can deliver good services? It takes good management to do that which is something severely lacking in the public sector.
The real issue is that we have business man and woman in politics that want to profit for themselves and business parties and not do what's best for the UK.
The system is really corrupt.
Sadly, I don't se a turn back from Brexit. The Conservatives opened a Pandora's box that can't be closed.
boris and his business men friends destroyed Brit economy . they are getting rich while vulnerable Middle class who they manipulated. Ordinary ppl paying the price
Europeans kicked out and much more Asians in to replace them. That is the result of Brexit. It sounds like nothing but trouble to me.

MAKE GREAT BRITAIN GREATER AGAIN..🇧🇻
Brexit has definitely made things worse, but our decline stems from decades of underinvestment into industry, an overheated property market and 15 years of government austerity. All of our infrastructure has been sold off to foreign countries as have most of our utilities. Living standards are declining and people are upset and feel that they are completely powerless to change anything. The solution to this myriad of problems is a lot more complex than just rejoining the EU (assuming that was even an option). We need a national purpose and targeted industries that we want to be globally competitive in, with government legislation and sustained investment over a period of decades.
Way more than 30% want to rejoin . Only 37% voted to leave in the first place
More like 80% want to rejoin now. Almost everyone in the UK now realizes Brexit was a monumental disaster...

Re Brexit ;Ask yourself -Why?-& “cui bono?”. And why do U.K. multimillionaires go into politics or MSM? .UK is a wierd society -like a country concealed within another (the U.K.) if you inhabit the former you’re part of the “1%” -wealthy,privately educated e.g Eton then Oxford .It’s the connections you make that you’ll use throughout your life to become wealthy, and thus through UK’s arcane tax system pay less tax proportionately than those below the glass ceiling In U.K… so!
Where’s the money ? All govt need tax money. So they will raise taxes.
Sunak was not elected from start: he was selected. Now he may retreat, worshipping Krishna and holy cows in full peace of mind 😇
The Hoyer doesn’t answer questions directly, is she a Tory?

Why we have to discuss only economics how about education and environment 😢
Because all this depends on a strong economy.
@@nicschu456 I do understand that but the ratio of the topic on Economics is too much. Don’t forget it’s doesn’t matter how economics is . We still have to pay same amount council Tax !!! In addition , Road tax has been pay the same too but Tories use that money to where ? Why our road quality is running down . in the mean time the public transportation was so behind from EU too. Can I just comment on the NHS ? ‘U.K. has an increasingly ageing poulation who are polymorbidic and have poly pharmaceutical needs . … Social services and health service funding streams are differently sourced .NHS is centrally sourced -so U.K. govt gives £XBillion to 🏴NHS and what Scottish ,Welsh, and N.I health services get is a per capita ratio of the 🏴NHS budget . However Social Services are funded by local authorities …who are part funded by central govt .14 years of Successive cuts to LA funding has had consequences down the line the result being “bed blocking”, The Tories say “we’re spending more on the NHS than ever before! “…well what they DONT say is “Over 14 years We have increased the NHS Budget juuuust above the rate of inflation “. However hospital equipment has a life span of ± 10 years before it has to be replaced ,medicines and treatments cost more as well .The last real big investment in the NHS was during the last Labour govt. However…Gordon Brown Chancellor the Exchequer didn’t want the Labour govt to be accused of being spendthrift somcapital projects like schools and hospitals were Privately Financed .The finance companies were encouraged with a high capital returns on the PFI loan . Hospitals have been saddled with paying off the debt since it started . Interesting fact -average length of a PFI contract =36 years average expected useful life of a PFI built school/hospital ….36 Years!!
