Just gorgeous. A woman who knows her way around a vehicle is priceless. My favorite part which everyone has for some reason forgot about is to add a little oil before installing the oil filter good job indeed 👍
Thank you for your kind words! And yes, you are absolutely right about adding a little oil before installing the oil filter. I never do this because I almost always drop the filter at least once when trying to thread it back on lol.
i dont trust them oil change places..so after watching your video im going to change my oil on my 2006 chevy trailblazer..gonna use the mobil to.Thanks Anna..P.S I need to do a wheel hub to.
You can buy those disposable vomit bags(blue), cheap on Amazon. Once you break the oil filter loose, use the bag to enclose it and twist it all the way off. All the oil will go in the bag. Keeping everything clean. You can even keep the bag for next oil change. There should be an opening on that splash guard that gives you access to the drain bolt. No need to remove the splash guard (at least on my 2006). Nice job!
Hope they are helpful! I just quit my second job and am optimisitic I'll have more time for tinkering and creating videos. I have heard the power steering lines are especially problematic on these engines. Did you have trouble on yours? I have it on my list! Thank you for the nudge and feedback 😊
wow third engine? I have 268K on the same engine on an 04. The car hauled fruit for my job - it was full of fresh fruit boxes - and I had to get the brakes and suspension fixed a lot from that job. Otherwise the engine seems great - I just did a PVC hose port clean out - with B12 Berryman - and also put that B12 Berryman in the fuel tank - and now my mileage is the best the MPG has ever been. Kind of wild. We did get oil changes at 3K miles almost always - I think went past it a couple times only.
Love my 2005 TB!!! 238K +miles. Original engine, but tyranny rebuild earlier this year. It's a solid beast as long as it's taken care of. I see so many TBs still on the road in great condition. The new vehicles can't compare. Newer craps are built to fail. But these road warriors 💪🦾
@@sunneblues someone posted on another Vortec 4200 turbo channel that they regularly push their TrailBlazer to 6000 RPM and hold it there and the engine does fine!! I haven't tried this and I don't plan it - as I'm assuming that's way beyond the speed limit. hahaha. Still the torque on this straight or inline six energy really kicks in soon - the 2000 rpm studies published in 2002 or so on this Vortec 4200 engine shows it better than the V8 5.3 liter engine at the time. So the fact that Chevy is now producing a new straight six engine with twin turbo proves this engine has stood the test of time.
Easy Oil Filter Access - jack and remove passenger tire. There is an opening in the frame and you can use a strap wrench for loosening and removing the filter. Works for all of these SUV 's.
Gotta get under to get to the drain bolt anyway but geez, removing a wheel just for a filter is crazy but if you don't have the right filter wrench, like one shown here, you'd have to do it that way.
One thing many do is add oil directly to the new filter before the installation to prevent any possibility of running the engine without any oil at all. It would be easy with a vertical mount. Horizintal mounting can be more of a challenge.
Oil and grease might not be good on your skin, some rubber or latex gloves would be a good idea. I hate it when the oil filter spills the oil up my arm and into my shoulder, especially if I have a long sleeve shirt or coveralls. Great job! 👍
GM engineers need to be strung up for that filter location. Worst one I've ever done. You have about the only filter wrench that can work in there. It's not a direct straight shot. Requires long extensions. The last time I did a trailblazer I had oil down both arms, and on my cheek clear into my ear!
Ideally, find a level spot to do the oil change. But if you have to choose, based on the shape of the oil pan and location of the plug, I suggest whichever way gets the front end lower (sounds like forward in?). And do not jack it up. Check the oil level afterwards on level ground, of course. Hope it goes well!

Wow Anna one of the most clear auto maintenance videos I have ever seen. Bonus that you speak so clearly and are nice to look at.
You got that gallon jug in without a funnel? You are a Jedi❤️
Ha! I love that. Thank you for watching and making me laugh!
Educated and super happy to see a girlie out here getting shit done and not caring to get dirty! Love to see it
You just blew up the internet with an oil change!
Good job Lady, 👌🏻 you can change the front differential fluid like oil change to
thanks... you explain and do it better than most people here, especially how to minimize the mess of removing the filter
You have very steady hands, I usually have a hell of a mess. Thanks nice video
Hahaha it's so easy to make a mess! And thank you!
This is a great video, just be sure to run your engine until it reaches operating temperature and then turn it off, before you begin your oil change.
What the actual heck? You're memeing clearly.
we need you to make more tutorials, on any topic ❤
Daw! Ok I'll get on it! Thanks for the nudge :)
Good video. I didn't know about the oil life light reset. Thanks.
Oh sweet! And thanks so much!
Well edited and narrated. Thanks for the info

Genius on the vomit bags, I am going to try that in the morning.
You did a great job young lady! Great to see!
Hey thanks! Thanks for watching and for your comment!
Not sure where you went but thanks for the few videos you put out on the TB, I would have loved to see you did one on the power steering lines.
Hope they are helpful! I just quit my second job and am optimisitic I'll have more time for tinkering and creating videos. I have heard the power steering lines are especially problematic on these engines. Did you have trouble on yours?
I have it on my list! Thank you for the nudge and feedback 😊
Your awesome girl, you pretty good at oil changing 💪🏼
I commend you on your choice of vehicles. I still drive my 2005 TB. It's on its third engine. I bought it used in 2007 with around 15,000 miles on it.

@@thebigdr With the right tools, jacking and removing the tire is a 5 minute job. With bad knees it's the better way!
It never even occurred to me to go in through the wheel well. Thank you for offering an alternative solution to get at the oil filter!!
excelent video
Thank you!
I've been changing my 2003 TB oil since it was new and it never dawned on me to remove the splash guard. Thanks :)

Yeah my Acura's oil filter is horizontal & It's always makign a mess on the frame on removal and reinstalling lol. All a part of the game.
Great job, you are so neat very impressed.

Oil and grease never hurt anybody unless you pour it into a tall glass and drink it. 👍
I had it into my ear the last time I did it on one of my trailblazers!
How low was it on oil before changing? Looked like the old oil didn’t even fill 5qt bottle
Cool video!!
Subscribed! Nice channel
yay! Thanks so much! Hope to do a lot more.

Hahaha it is the worst!! It makes such a mess every single time.
Can remove Passenger tire and go thru wheel well 🤟❤️ hope this helps for the future I know the feeling of getting oil all over
Nice video dear
Thanks! And thanks for watching and your comment!
Thanks
You bet!
Thanks!
The 76mm 14 flute wrench will not fit the fram filter with the sure grip rubber coating
How can you fit under your car without using ramps or jack stands? Nice videos me gustan mucho. Cuídate.
😂😂 I'm scrawny and do a squeeze. Ramps would be so nice. Maybe one day. Thank you for watching and for your feedback! Hopefully more videos to come.
Hi, can i get the size or number of the oil filter?
Please make more videos
I intend to, there's always plenty to fix. Thank you for the nudge!
Hi! What if your driveway is on a down slant towards the house? Do I back the trailblazer in or forward in ? Thanks!
