When I went to work for my field placement yesterday, my mentor said that "you are doing great; you need to have confidence" However, when I speak in English to them, I think of whether my grammar is correct or not in my brain. As you mentioned in your video, I am one of the people who want to speak English perfectly. Until now, I will speak out with confidence. 🤣
Mr. Sean. I have a question. To my understanding, using the word "foreign" along with "person" noun may cause some natives to feel a bit offended. This is why I usually go with "international" or "overseas"(even though you said "foreign friends"), using "foreign" when talking about the non-human objects. Can you teach me how to properly use the word "foreign"?
Great question ! Yeah international is probably more polite, but I’ve been in Korea so long that “foreign” doesn’t sound rude to me. I’m just used to it! I think what you said it correct. Best to use foreign when talking about objects or things and international with people
