historian/prospector/museum owner, my brother and i spent a day hiking /prospecting with Bill (rip) along and up a creek in the cariboo lake area likely mining district. in the 1980's his knowledge of mining lore/history is amazing.

Thank you so much for your expertise and knowledge . Is there any information about the Coal Creek area , specifically the # 9 mine up Coal Creek near Fernie ?
i have to ask . the 5 acre isolated pocket . dose this really sound more like a Glazier movement . where it melts off and level a gravel culture and Gold mixed in .with ice and then the ice melts and level a area say 5 acres in size ..and this is the real reason they found gold threw out the 5 acres and not level related ..? the reason i say this because avalanage have been know to peel away surface gravel and deposit it miles away ..
Bill Barlee was worth his weight in gold
