My dad passed from cancer when i was still fairly young, we never got the chance to bond past my childhood years, by the time i was a teen and ready to learn things from him he couldn't teach them any longer due to how sick he had gotten. Around 10 years back now i got married, and my father in law and i have always had a bit of a rough relationship, but Ill always see him as a father because as harsh as he can be he has taught me a lot, taken care of me, helped me grow, and been there for mine and his daughters children in every which way he can. We may not see eye to eye on everything, but he will always have my respect for treating me like a son and not just his daughters husband. I hope if Jake is real that he is able to find something like that in life.

I never liked my "dad" he left us homeless never was there when I needed him for the day I had developed epilepsy then what left a sour taste in my mouth was when I woke up from surgery I was in the hospital to have fluid drain from my heart from a sack that built up and nearly killed me I heard my mom yelling at him he tried to take a life policy out on me thinking I'd die he never attended any event or milestone I was later diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma Hodgkins I did chemo for almost a whole year I rang the bell after he never called to see how I was doing or congratulated me for completing chemo which traumatized me because I lost my hair had to shave it off he was never there then had the audacity to try to tell him I was pregnant I didn't say anything else to him. I have nothing to say I was 18 when I had cancer 21 when I had my daughter now I have epilepsy surgery coming up I have an amazing stepdad who I call dad because he's been there since my "dad" left us and had to live with our aunt for awhile it was my eldest brother me my sister then I gained two awesome step siblings a brother and a sister I consider any half siblings or step an actual sibling they do the same he consideres us his biological children. he's not a stepdad he stepped up.
