this is Shotokan Karate that everyone liked, great champion 👊👊👊✌️
This is the kumite that will save your life when you are in a real fight. Not the watered down version we see today.
Well said
Ronnie Christopher, next please+
Hall had some great Sweeps, seem like he could pull them off from almost any position.
Also, like they said, he was aggressive and made sure you were hit. He would have been an interesting match-up in the first few UFC events, and he definitely would have challenged Royce.
Best definitely was having fun out there, and he was a sniper with that right. His timing was very good.
The British had some damn good Shotokan fighters.

Elwyn trained with us at Dartford and Grove Park with Senseis Jimmy and Val Patterson. Sensei Ray Fuller had some influence here... hahaha. Those were the Golden Years.

tag! you're it
Yeah tho! If "Karate Combat" were a thing at around dis time, probably minus da pit, da style of karate in general would garner hundreds of times more respect than it has (and is still growing) now! If it were around at around da year 2000 when I first got into shotokan, well... it'd have been more beneficial 2 me and every other shotokan practitioner! But ur gonna have those hardcore traditionalist zealots dat'll condemn such a great adaptation of an art!
ok, arent they supposed to stop when someone strikes the other? this guy simply doesnt stop and actually strikes the others, hes basicly playng, i punch you, you dont. seems like alot of bs to me.
