I’m 56, healthy, but struggled with PF for over a year. Never had any issues before this. Your advice has worked for me. I transitioned to Altra Torins and spend more time barefoot. I’ve seen slow but steady improvement. I found stretching my tight hips, along with foot strengthening helped a lot.
Thank you for sharing this! Yes, weak gluts, tight hips and hammies often contribute to an altered walking gait and leads to foot issues. Great insight. Dr. Angela
I have followed your program and I think I have fixed my PF! Its been about 2 months since i did a skin scrapping and warn my toe spacers and have no pain in my feet! I still do stretches and have a hard time feeling any amount of a "pull" in my legs.

I now know how weak my feet are and was doing everything to address the sypmtons (inserts, massage, "resting", etc...). Dr. Angela, you have helped me so much. I am so very grateful. I had terrible advice and ended up suffering for a year and a half. I am now almost completely free of pf...the improvement is noticeable by the week. Thank you. I have bought barefoot shoes, walk barefoot whenever possible, and walk normally, making sure I do not limp at all. I am SO relieved that the condition is resolving, even after such a long period of suffering from it.
Guide! Good Morning, Ive been listening to some of your videos. Did the big toe test and my right foot big toe is fine. My left foot big toe, on the other hand, is nowhere near where it should be. I did some scraping, following the motion from this video, with a scraping stone my wife had. the inside of my left leg, between the calf and ankle, hurts upon rubbing the stone over it. I did the same with my foot afterwards and it isnt tender to touch as much. I would like to see the free guide to make sure im doing the scraping correctly.

Hi Dr. Angela! I did your PF home recovery guide. After the first few weeks pain went down to almost nothing after years of chronic pain then just went completely away. It's been a few months since starting. Now suddenly the pain it starting to come back. A little by almost the end of the day and this morning right out of bed it was hurting in the same spot that always used to hurt every morning. I still do all exercises and I'm still doing Graston. Any thoughts? I have increased the 2 second stretch to 40 times as well, and increased a few of the other exercises in reps too. Thank you.
Hi, Sidney! I am so sorry you have had a flare-up. It is no uncommon. I would go back to only performing 15 reps of the exercises. Be sure you are only scraping every 2 days, and try a warm epsom salt water soak once a day for symptom relief. Dr. Angela

She turned my PF around. Use a multifactorial approach: foot strengthening and massage, calf/foot stretching, proper shoes, caution going barefoot (ease into it) etc. But 1st find what relieves the pain. Nite splint and Crocs were my 1st Go-to methods leading to cure. Now pain free!!! I still minimize barefoot, but tolerate it for short periods. Thx, Dr. A
@@uzmariaz3382 Good luck! Be patient but relentless w the stretching and foot strengthening. Early on I really enjoyed using a massage gun on the bottom of my foot 1st thing before I got up. It helped me get into the day pain free. Now am months into No Pain. Keeping up w stretching and good foot care. You can get better!!! Best to U👍

I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. Start with getting footwear that is widest at the toe (Altras, Whitins). As your pain begins to diminish begin the exercises and perform only a few repetitions. Dr. Angela Free Guide: www.drangelawalk.com/freeguide
Do you advise against Shockwave therapy for either short OR long term relief of PF? (an Xray of my left foot does show a definate heel spur. but both feet hurt at the inside and back of heel from PF. it was diagnosed by a Orthopedic surgeon, I am considering Shockwave procedure to compliment your exercises. its been just over a month and no real improvement.
I believe SWT is helpful to promote the healing process and improve circulation, and manage symptoms. As you stated, that alone will not resolve PF. You must put your focus on strengthening and mobility. Dr. Angela Free Guide: www.drangelawalk.com/freeguide
Short term relief is fine, but to get rid of it, will be more painful before it gets better. I had it for 4 months. Got barefoot shoes, took 1 mile walk, the next day was terrible pain, I could hardly walk. But the pain spread to the calf and ankle as well. Ice and heat for a couple of days then do it again. Keep stretching and strengthening everything. Start try to squat all the way down barefoot with your feet planted on the ground. Hold on to something until you can do it without help. The front of your ankles will burn and hurt until they get stronger. Toe spacers are a must. Wear a little every day till you can wear for hours at a time. The pain will spread before it starts to dissipate. All of this will be painful at first, but once the blood starts flowing properly in your feet, you will feel much healthier and pain free.

Anything that ends in “itis,” such as plantar fasciitis, means inflammation is involved, and given that it’s estimated that 93% of American adults are metabolically unhealthy, which results in inflammation, it’s not surprising when people have this. Not only does strengthening the foot help, but so does eating a diet without sugar, processed food, grains, and seed oils. Several in the low carb community eliminated it altogether, despite debilitating pain. Raymond Nazon is just one example.

I'm pretty sure my PF was caused by trying to keep my sandal from slipping off while driving a go-kart with my kid. I literally was feeling my heel thumping against the the cart as I tried my best to not lose it on the track. It was quite the bumpy ride in some places in the track with some little potholes. 😅 I usually go barefoot throughout the house everyday.

Shoes..... For the past five years, every morning when I wake up and stand on my feet, it feels like I'm stepping on needles. Orthopedists with their insoles and physiotherapy have been of no help, and maybe even caused harm, because now I also feel discomfort in my hip joints when walking, and no one can explain to me what it is or how to improve my condition. Wow! I can't tell you how excited I am for you. Thank you for giving my program a go! Dr. Angela
Please help me Dr
Guide! Good Morning,
Ive been listening to some of your videos.
So glad you tried the scraping.

Hi Dr.

Thx, Dr. A
Thanks for sharing this John. Night splints and crocs are fine in the early phase of PF. So happy you have found relief. Yippee! Dr. Angela

Dr. Angela
Free Guide: www.drangelawalk.com/freeguide
Can I use a spoon instead of a muscle scraping tool?
Yes, one with a thicker handle like a serving spoon would work best. Dr. Angela
