Here for the journey! I love watching new people discover NF.
His mom passed from pill usage when Nate was about to graduate high school. When you start at the beginning, as you are, you are seeing/hearing his life. All his music is personal and raw. I love it.
I'm always impressed when musicians lay it all out there like this. It really takes a lot of courage.

2023 Updated NF Journey List
🎶 This is for anyone new who may want to take the NF journey as we call it because he intertwines his music like marvel movies. All of his albums are like a connected series.
He also hides eggs in his videos which he co-directs and co-produces.
For example in his “When I Grow Up” song there were four hidden eggs in that song: 1. A black balloon by the trash cans (black balloon represents his burdens per search single) 2 In the burger joint he grabbed at receipt that had the date and time of when his song time was being released. 3. He had outcast written on his name tag in the janitor scene which references his Outcast song. 4. He had his moments album CD in car scene
Another example is in the search song he had cage in background he rapped in from his outcast song. Search single also connects to Hope. In Hope he has the “map to hope”.
The black smile you will see painted on his mouth is explained in his therapy session song.

MANSION ALBUM:
1. All I have (VIDEO)- Will connect to his Suffice single from Hope album.

3. Intro 3 (one of his best songs) *This connects to mansion single. Remember fear. reference. Connects to hope single

5. Know- He pays homage to eminem and 21 pilots (hype)

It was to the awful article rolling stones put out because the writer was a big chance the rapper fan and was pissed NF took number one spot. Over 400 people bashed that writer in the comments lol
Chasing -demo he did with a fan. This was very nice of him to do. This also will connect to the whole theme of Clouds Mixtape.

2.Motto-(video) connects to when i grow up (same fan sipping drink) no name, happy, and why singles.

5. Suffice-Connects to All I have single. He even uses a line from this single as well in this.
6. Careful Ft Cordae- Pays homage to J Cole.

He had 3 limited release albums before Mansion, but they are not usually looked at as part of his JOURNEY. The first one was made available when ИF won a big talent contest just outside of Detroit. You'll hear him refer to some of his earlier work as "not very good".
His music saved my life. Sounds cheesy but his music found me when I was close to suicide. It changed my thoughts on being alone.

I'm pretty much in the same boat (was 50 and not a rap fan when I discovered Ren, but I was familiar with most of his music before I started reacting, which is why I'm thankful NF is completely new).
Yes, I admit I'm a pauser (although how often I pause when reacting with others is much less than when I'm reacting solo, so admittedly you might want to avoid my solo reactions). I've tried different ways, and this is just where I've landed with my reacting style in terms of enjoyment and what I'm comfortable with.

I'm in the process of posting our reaction to Intro (which we recorded right after this), but my wife will be out of town for a few days so we can't react together until she gets back. Maybe I'll check out some Moments songs on my own to bridge the gap.

Great reaction! As for me? I say go all the way back, keep the lists in mind but EVERY track on EVERY album is top notch! Seriously. He also has a couple previous albums called "Moments" and "I'm Free." Both excellent especially considering 1st releases and how young he is. Looking forward to Your next NF reaction.🩸🗝😎
