After decades in the biz, he has a large stockpile of one-liners to whip out at will. In interviews and panel shows, he's basically Don Rickles - except instead of doubling down on "just plain mean" he always softens the joke at the end.
Except the interview where Kathy Lee Gifford asks him to say "Hi!" To his wife since Kathy is such good friends with them both. ...Martin's wife had been dead for years already...
@@bucksteingold4334 that's awesome, in an awful way. KLG was such a complete twit; her popularity did not improve my generally low opinion of Americans' taste.
Michael P. Shipley movie and tv critics took the Jiminy Glick character personally at the time. And they were hilariously offended by him. I’d agree Zach has used part of the routine but not the character. The interviews are all we remember from Primetime Glick but the show was a lot more with monologues, spoofs, and family vignettes
I was a cashier at Kmart. I let my roommate come get lots of tp and body wash for our room. I was arrested. Devastating and embarrassed. One of only 4 times I saw my dad cry. Up until that incident he only cried once. He cried at his mother's funeral. The other times were my mom's funeral and my wedding
@@magicarff8892 absolutely. I don't take stealing lightly. Even worst my dad was the one who got me that job. Good thing is I have not made him cry in a bad way since
They are all just fake names for a grouping of years. Every generation has people that act like "stereotypical millennials". Older people have always resented younger people and vice versa. It's just life. And there's also this new wave of blaming the younger generations for "destroying" industries that really just refused to keep up with modern times. That's it. "Baby boomers killed the milkman." "Gen X killed the typewriter". It's silly and so is anyone that falls for these divisive traps.
One of the reasons I like Spade and Norm so much is their interaction with women. They're really easy going, they don't pander (respectful but not super pc), and they're just comfortable. It's refreshing to see real dudes interacting with women and not drones. Also, I feel like a lot of his more current guests are so eager to make jokes and have one liners that they just come off as fake and annoying. Spade has a good way of keeping pace and balancing stuff out.
That scene where Martin Short and Steve Martin are turning there canteens upside down for a drink, no water, sand dumps on their faces... pan over to Chevy and he's slapping water on his face, gargling, and tosses it on the ground as it empties. 🤣
I work in retail in EU and we don't have many problems with shoplifters here, things go missing thou, and its human hand, either people forget to show something to the cashier or he doesnt pass it on the machine. Like Spade said about the money too, sometimes people pay extra and don't notice. Sometimes you hand then the money in the counter and they leave bills there, specially if you put the receive on top, we did a experiment and many times they leave it there. Mistakes always happen.
Martin Short busting everyone's balls and I love him for it. Such unbelievably quick wit

I didn’t think this show would be any good, but so far I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every clip. It’s relaxed, wiity and just plain entertaining.
Same. It's really good
its a good show. Spade doing a decent job here, its a fun, chill vibe.
The monologues are usually pretty bad tbh.
“And I had heard that” 😂
Lats Niebling you need to go on a Jiminy Glick bender...he’s incredible
@Lats Niebling didn't you see him in a movie, the guy is fantastic
Lats Niebling
He’s the anti trump!

Martin Short Is God
Benjamin Cooperman
Um not true buddy
*Martin* is a comedic genius.
His part in Inherent Vice is one of my personal favorites
WHAT someone finally gave David Spade a talk show? Brilliant.
Arif...brilliant if you are Tommy
It's an internet show, he produces it himself would be my guess.
I love this show, and hope it stays on!
Bad news from 2021, Elizabeth.
"You did SNL?" 🤣🤣

Millennials are getting into their forties now.
N Marrs some. My twenty something kids are at the tail end but thankfully don't act like a stereotypical millennial
Roughly speaking... Close! No hard rules on generations... Born 1961-1981= Generation X, born 1981- 2000 = Millenials.
