I love the conversations y’all get into from the series. I think a big aspect of the Don’t series is questioning conventional education and how it discourages creative thought. That’s why when the puppets start actually asking questions about time and thinking for themselves, the clock punishes them.

There was this one absurdist writer, Eugene Ionesco, who wrote a play called "the Bald Soprano" where time broke down because the characters' lives had changed beyond their recognition. Like, time is a tool used to track change, so if someone's life were upended (say because of a pandemic for instance) it starts to lose the meaning it had before.

Time actually is a human construct. It changes based on speed and gravity and whatnot. The faster you’re moving the slower you age, and the greater the gravity the slower time goes. It has to do with space time warping in those extremes. There was actually an astronaut with an identical twin who came back from space after like 6 months and was a few milliseconds younger than his twin brother
