Fun Fact: While Keanu skydiving was him hanging on a rig above a fan, Patrick Swayze was a skydiving enthusiast so he and some guys took the camera and went skydiving in the weekend.
Not green screen but he was hung from crane with giant fan underneath on some L A hill

@@adanrios7951 for insurance reasons, the swayze skydiving scenes were shot after the movie finished filming. Thats why Swayze has short hair like he does in his final scene.
Fun fact. After Swayze kills a cop, you can see the supposedly dead cop move while lying on the floor.
Patrick Swayze has just robbed this bank, and Keanu Reeves is chasin' him through peoples' gardens, and then he goes to shoot Swayze but he can't because he loves him so much and he's firin' his gun up in the air and he's like ahhh!

The original Point Break indeed was an ground breaking movie.
Yeah it's a very interesting combo of campy/fun action but some genuinely intense scenes. I like the foot chase sequence, shot with handheld cameras.

Haze? The 90's were like that, because everyone smoked indoors and at work. I think everyone's forgotten, and takes the fresh air for granted!
I didn't forget, I couldn't stand that noxious smell floating through every restaurant we went to when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s; and no, that "non-smoking section" wasn't much better.
I've been saying since the first time I saw FnF that the entire plot was just Point Break!!!

On a parallel stub, Katherine Bigelow was recognized right away as the great director she already was in the 90's and she got to help like +15 blockbuster military dramas, sci-fi indies and, specially, high adrenaline action films. I wish I could jump to that stub and watch them all, marathon-style.

For those wondering what the music is at 1:55-many of us have been trying to find out ever since it appeared in the Honest Trailer for The Matrix. Before you say anything, it's not "A Real Hero" from Drive, and it's not "Faraway Trains Passing By", but it is similar. Shazam doesn't recognise it, and extensive Googling has uncovered nothing.
The best bet is it's music produced in-house by a licensing company that's composed to be similar enough to "...Passing By" without infringing copyright. There are dozens of such companies, each with libraries in the tens of thousands. Realistically, we are not going to find the exact track unless Screen Junkies just comes out and tells us.
So, Screen Junkies, plz tell us!

The bank robbery scene was the inspiration for the opening (also bank robbery) scene in Nolan's Dark Knight.
I wish people would stop asking for honest trailers on movies that are currently in theaters, when they should know by now, that they can only do a film that is out on home media when they can have access to the footage. If they did an HT for a new film, wrongfully using the footage that they do not have access to, they could get sued. "But there are other trailers on UA-cam." Sure, there are other trailers. But those are marketing channels that production companies release the footage to, to help plug that film. Screen Junkies is not on that release list. Therefore, they do not get any trailer footage that they can call their own, and do what they want with it, without getting sued. To take any one else's trailer footage from the web, will also be considered copyright infringement. Get it through your heads people. You need to wait.
also, it's just better to wait until the movie is old enough to have its cultural significance established.

The remake got about 10 sequels: Fast and the Furious.
It had never occured to me that they're this similar, this trailer changed my life. Also, Point Break didn't need a namesake remake; if it isn't broken don't fix it!

If you pause it at 4:14 you can see that the drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers is Chad Smith not Will Ferrel. Something Will Ferrel used to poke fun of when he was in SNL.

The fight scene in the ending, between Keanu and Swayze is great. Hey, that's the only reason I saw the movie. 16 year old me was like 'Keanu is the good guy and Swayze is the bad guy, well shit I need to watch movie now, and I hope there's a awesome fight between the two of them' and I wasn't disappointed, and everything earlier in the movie was also great as well.
"One Hundred Percent Pure Adrenaline!" I actually thought that was a cool quote from this film. Oh & The girl who was in Billy Idol's video "Rock the Cradle of Love" is in Point Break. That is all..
