you've honestly got the tonality spot on! great tutorial. I'm fairly sure the original has got some added saturation and distortion, maybe even automation on those and the filter to create movement
Isn't the characteristic of the bass in that track really more about the automated distortion? That's what I'm hearing anyway. It starts off as a fairly normal resse and then as the track progresses you hear more and more drive'distortion, focused on some low mid frequencies especially on parts between bars / where drums drop out. It sounds like something you could probably acheive with fab filter saturn 2 Also a lot of the reverb in that track sounds like it's coming from the atmospheric elements
Don't get me wrong because your tutorials are usually incredible, but this one not only doesn't sound like the original, but the penultimate bass note is completely out of tune.
Thanks for your feedback. Our goal is not to make an exact replicate. It’s just showcase sound design workflows and decisions influenced by this sound. We hope you still got something out of this!

Good stuff man 💪 - using the OTT on the reverb for tone is a really nice idea, I will need to use this in future :)
Make the bass from Surface Noise by Optiv and Fierce!
RIP OPTIV
Will the Sub not phase with the saws if it's playing at the same octave?
You could probably remove the fundamental in both the saw waves to prevent phasing with the sub
That is really cool! Pretty clinical reese bass!
Wairua , roll the R. The meaning of the word is spirit/soul in Te Reo.
More Alix Perez please!!

Cutting the side bass but then boosting the bass in stereo is a bit counterintuitive. Is it not?
It's fine actually :)
Need more interesting sounds like camo and crooked, mefjus, their drums also
There's supposed to be a layer of saw 1 octave lower

Sorry but a 15 min video for it to not sound anything like the patch is unreal. Don’t want to be a hater but this is awful

Well, actually I found it to be really similar to the original... Maybe an octave lower on a note here and there, but other than that, seems legit.
Keep with the comparison first please....
