It's interesting that any student attending a college or university is free to have a second job, make side money, do anything to support themselves. Why are athletes treated any differently? If you have the time and talent, you should be able to capitalize off it.

The obvious question is what are you going to do about it.

Before signing or agreeing to any contract/deal with the NCAA or College the student athlete must have through his or her self Or a court appointed attorney & sport agent to represent and protect their rights and future earnings. (Weather amateur or Professional its a entertainment job plain and simple)

Hey, i was wondering, as a walk on for my current track team reviving no athletic aid from my school, would i still need permission to contact other coaches from my current school?

Once you become a member of the team, you are held to the same rules, regardless of your scholarship status. Check out our video on the new transfer rules and transfer portal in Division I (which is optional for schools in DII) that explains the rules in more detail.

How long can/does the NCAA use your likeness, name, or image?

Can I write a book while in the NCAA and include what I’ve learned from athletics ?

You could seek a waiver; however, this will be a moot point once NIL laws go into effect soon.
