The car looks great as it is but I'm sure whatever you do to it will make it look even better!
Been hanging my nose over these for a while now.... never pulled the trigger coz I really want either the Rothmans Williams or the mp4-6 Marlboro Mclaren but the prices of new in box (& for me it has to be nib so I can build it) have gone through the roof. So maybe one day il manage to get hold of one.
Anyway, back to yours, looks 🔥 as my 15 year old daughter would say 😅.

Top job glenn! Well done. Re the red block I was thinking that fin too like I suggested, or perhaps even just the inside top bits of the wing so when u look from the right u see the left inside wing and vice verse. But whatever u add will enhance it

Great job…as always! I love the F-1’s. They are my favorite race cars. Ironically I do not have a single F-1 RC. I have built several 1/7 & 1/5 GT’s & treasure them all. The large scale F-1’s are just so expensive. Perhaps one day I will go for it. Beautiful build!

Love it! Looks very chunky, almost like the F1 cars from ~1994, with the Benetton and the McLaren being my favourite. I agree with the idea of running the red along the top spine of the body. But have you thought about also painting the front and rear endplates of the wings in red as well? That way you get a continous run of red from front to back, which should make a really good contrast to the white and black.......just be careful that you don't end up with a 2022 Haas. 😉
I got to say sorry now. Because in the chassis video I said NOOOO. don't do the Starburst. And I hate they didn't work out for u seriously. But that does look better. I think if those small Starburst will fit on each side of that air intake where it says f-104 but as high up on and forward as u can get them on that air intake. But as always super cool. I would definitely like to see the finish video
Awesome Video! I just painted mine as well with the cut out side pods and couldn't agree more about it being a nightmare. I used mesh tape and shoe goo on the inside to strengthen the body, especially around the side pod areas.

I think it looks great and I knew those Kyosho decals as soon as you brought it out as I am working on the Turbo Optima currently! I agree it needs something down that top ridge so it is not all white back there. Otherwise it looks fantastic!!! You need to make those Tamiya Legends decals available for all of us!!!
I’d love to build one of these. Tge car that really got me into RC back in the day was a Nikko f-1 Penzoil sponsored Rick Mears f-1 car.. I’d do that livery if I ever built one

Always wanted a Tamiya F1 but never got around to it Glenn. They're works of Art for me Glenn, just gorgeous! I always wonder just how fast they can go with a proper racing motor? Not stupidly dangerous fast like you see these over-powered psychotic 8S Traxxas XO-1's and the like, but just "Tamiya fast" if you get what I mean? Wes.

They look like Ikea but I thought I'd ask as I am not sure you mentioned it during your video where you set your room up. Keep up the great work.

Hi, Glenn I recently just got into RC and love F1 so I went with F104 Pro 2. I was wondering what are your thoughts on this kit with drifting it? I would like to own 2 F1 one for display and one for me just to drift and do rc stuff with.
RC cars are made to play with not put on a shelf.

I want to copy what you have done here. could you tell me what the distance is, on the underside, from the top of the plate behind the pilot to the air intake? i want to fit a caddx vista vtx in that space but dont know if there is enough room. i may have to mount it to the frame, over the battery bay.
Got the same car and same problem..bought a used F104 Pro2 with a painted body (Gray) now I have to order a new clear body to put the decals on,and come up with some design ideas for the painted one.
