  • Let's talk Seneca, Stoicism, and his view on poverty and riches. He is most known today for practicing the philosophy Stoicism. In this video we will look at his unique view on poverty and riches. In Stoicism it is your thoughts and actions that matter, not what material goods you possess. This may sound overused, but watch this video to find out why maybe you should buy into it too.
The Stoic teachings from this video come mostly from Seneca's Letters from a Stoic and On the Shortness of life.

It's tough to find videos on voluntary poverty from a secular perspective. Thankfully, Stoicism vids occasionally touch on voluntary poverty.

Thank you for watching Phyllis, and I very much agree. Stoicism is unique, but very reminiscent of the hard life of ancient Rome.
