Favorite video of Buster:. Where he's waiting for Dad to come home from work and is standing near the door commenting on work and Dad and he says "I'll just take a breath". I thought that was priceless.

I haven't seen that one. There have been so many moments in which he's been able to put human words together in context. He gives us a clear glimpse into his ability to put the perfect words together to express the exact emotion he is feeling.
Such a wake up call for those who cling to the dismissive belief that all they do is mimicThey have so much to teach us.
Aren't we all lucky that Jennifer and Ken give so many of us the opportunity to open our hearts and minds to all the creatures who share this earth with us. We are all connected.

Used to have a parakeet that was attached to my dad that Buster reminds me so much of. Would eat with my dad and he would have mashed potato tracks running up his shirt during and after supper time. Our parakeet didn’t talk but they had chirps and whistles they would go back and forth with. And if dad was trying to watch a football game and not paying attention she would reach up and grab a whisker and pull 😂🤣😂. Thanks for sharing Buster and bringing back great memories!!!
I am in agony from sciatica. 31 days today of excruciating pain that nothing seems to relieve. But watching Buster give dating advice to that poor bewildered dog,-- and I've seen it at least100 times cracks me up so it distracts me from this awful pain. Buster won't know thos, but Jennifer, Ken, sister et al will all know how grateful i am for ALL THE WORK you do so ee get to see these wonderful videos.

A favourite? Really hard. Impossible really. I love the one where he's bouncing around in the hallway with the dog. I think that might be part of the Katy Perry dance.
Then there's the one where he's obviously confused because the trampoline was moved. Then he's hopping around on it, looks off the edge and says WOW! (What did he see over there?)
I think my all time favourite is when he says That's (or it's) not fair because Dad is working outside.
Even if you hadn't been talking to him, it was so clear from his body language and expression that he was sad.
He's such an expressive little being. What a wonderful thing that he ended up with you.

@@BusterTheCockatoo Near Seaside Heights not sure about which action park. There's Wildwood where it's got boardwalk amusement Ocean City has boardwalk amusement. Long Beach Island Seaside Heights boardwalk amusement etc. Cape May has various things too.
Buster brings me so much joy. His rants and stories crack me up.
My very favorite is when he's looking out the front door and asks if dad's @ work and then mom says he'll b home in about an hour...then Bus looks back outside and says I'll catch a breath... Also the trampoline and when he's outside in the cage and does cartwheels around the pole he's on...and the one where he's in his cage and mom chastised him for being naughty and flying outside his cage (??) And he says It was a surprise! And on and on and on. There r so many.. Has he ever gone for a ride in a car? Buster U Rock

He is such an intelligent and funny little guy. It's hard to pick one short. Most of all he's a loving character you can see that much and more! I wish you and he a long and wonderful life.
One of the best things about watching Buster interact with his human family is how obvious it is that he feels so safe with everyone to be himself . He can be loud--he has no idea that in human terms he's loud, he's just s normal cockatoo according to who he is. Not all cockatoos are alike; every single one has its own personality, snd since the ones we all watch are mostly rescues, their personalities have been shaped starting from the minute they hatch. In that sense, they are no different from us. Our personalities begin to form even before we are born.
I don't know what Buster's life was like before Jennifer found him and brought him home, but whatever it was, he is being given on a daily basis, not just the right to show us who he is; he enjoys a supportive celebration of who he is. It's a joyous thing to see and to be a part of.
Imagine if all children were given a similar safe space to become who they were born to be instead of being shaped, often forcefully, into what WE want them to be.
We can all learn so much from watching these highly intelligent, sensitive birds come into their own in spite of what they may have experienced prior to finding love and safety with humans who go the long, difficult haul, to provide for them. We all know they shouldn't be here, but out in the wild. But that will never change. One way or the other millions of them will find themselves sharing their long lives with humans. Not the worst thing in the world if it's done with a deep willingness to understand the needs of the little being that is completely relying on us to understand him/her and allowed to live their best lives.
