The only thing I find funny about every G8 video I see, majority of them always have the TSP light on. As a G8 owner, I strive to keep that shit off LOL.
It's not just these it's any modern vehicle that come with those senses that has aftermarket wheels many times won't put the sensors in them because a real car person who's in tune with their vehicle isn't gonna need the car to tell them their tire pressure is low so therefor the overpriced sensors aren't necessary. I have aftermarket wheels on both my ford's and neither have the sensors so the light shines and I don't care lol.
I have the same exhaust and did the opposite lol I deleted the xforce hot dog mufflers, and have just the varex mufflers. Mine is a bit louder with the valves open than his, but i think my cam is a bit bigger than his so that's probably a big factor. One of my varex valves did just go bad, but they're only like 20 bucks to replace lol
This owner is nuts... that car would drone horrendously and the volume would be terrible to live with for anything more than half an hour of driving. So many videos with people doing muffler deletes instead of J pipes - at least J pipes whilst loud don't drone.
So quick question.. if i do long tube headers, can i do a full straight piped system? Like can i have the shop weld new 3in pipes onto the headers back? No cats, no muffler and no res.
@ibleedhitech and how are you classifying it as "better" because you might be able to get a better 0-60 time or a slightly better et? Believe it or not those aren't the only factors in determining the setup you want. A well driven manual can still be fast and 1000x more fun and engaging. Not everyone wants every possible tenth et in place of all the fun. There is always somebody faster so if you do everything trying to be the fastest you're gonna be sorely disappointed.
@@midnight347 shorter shifting times, ur not gonna “miss a gear” so never excuses with automatic yes manuals are nice and better like i said in some cases and scenarios but autos are overall faster than manuals to a certain extent

As a G8 owner with headers. Adter removing the mufflers the drone in that thing will be terrible. Resonators alone won't kill it. Get some J pipes to get rid of it
Most cars sound better this way. Full straight pipe rarely if ever sounds better on anything. Louder doesn't equal better. At places like this they basically treat it as if louder is better going off the decibels and stuff. That is only one factor out of many. Loud is good but louder doesn't mean better.
Ahhhh the slow life... Just kidding. I used to own a G8 GT. One of the best cars I've owned beside rear main leaking twice at 10k miles. Traded up after it kept leaking.
@Exhaust Addicts just one thing to clarify: straight pipe means that all cats, all resonators and all mufflers are removed. Cat-back means that everything after catalytic converter is removed - it is just a pipe there. It wasn't cat-back here if they had a muffler on it before.
i would argue that cat back means from the cat back is modified, but doesn’t specify straight pipe. Can be modified mufflers. Straight pipe is straight pipe. But from what back is straight piped? See what I’m saying?
catback doesn’t mean everything after the cat is removed. giving people incorrect information isn’t cool lol. catback literally means that. i.e from the cat back all i have is a resonator. they have some catback systems or you could get a full exhaust system. or you can say from the cat back i am straight piped. your info giving is not proper. at least from what i read and understood
@@saint5ify Actually when I bought the car for $1000 it made 155 hp/185 tq stock. Maybe less because it had engine issues. I stroked and cammed the engine. Got 235 hp/255 tq out of it. Before I went to my next project I ran it at the track and got 14 1 at 98 mph in the quarter on my other channel. That is Mustang V6 territory. No shame in my game. Have you built anything that is faster than stock? I am interested since you think that building up a Taurus is something bad. 🤣🤣🤣

Those mufflers actually a had a really nice tone. Going catless probably would have sounded better. Still sounds amazing.

Same exhaust on my ISF. But if wanna go louder I unbolt the mufflers and bolt on straight pipes. The varex motors are $35 if they go bad.
Those X-force mufflers are cool but the valves do not last. Car sounds good!
You're right, but it's the motors not the valves. I bought 2 revised spares just in case. Luckily they're inexpensive and easy to put on.

It might make sense to get the 6.0 vs. the 6.2 GXP if the 6.0 is built up right, like here. GXPs are about 10k more than the 6.0's right now.

Cat back refers to the exhaust from the cat back, not that everything from the cat back is deleted.
