- Beef is going to market this episode of Blue Plains Dairy. Should turn us a decent profit and pay off a new purchase of ours. We will finish up the barley harvest on Shellbrook this episode before heading down to check on our Green Valley Nebraska operation.
Map is Shellbrook Creek by Camil.

Another nice video ! Keep ‘em coming
Thanks Brother!
I enjoyed the content man, And the montage I was very well done. Nicely edited good choice music. Keep the vids coming Farmer Taz I appreciate all the hard work you put into it.
Thanks for the feedback and support Tman!
Beef I usually keep a reproduction cycle and sell them after they have first calf at 27 months. Best time to sell is 24 months as feed efficiency drops significantly after that. Dairy cattle is best selled at 36 months when they're $1500 I sell them and buy 12 months for $1100 gaining $400 per head and not losing milk production as they milk like the 36 months. My pro move for dairy is to fill the pen then selling them and buying new ones every 24 months, milk production doesn't drop. As for beef I use a method on which reproductions replenish my heard. It's quite complex to explain and this comment is already quite long. Thanks for the video.
great breakdown, I follow you on your method. Cuts the overhead and turns out a quickly replenished profit from upfront expenses. Thank you for sharing your method.
I would like to share the full method for beef cattle, it's the same for pigs. First you divide your pen by 28 (for pigs is 10), so let's say your pen capacity is 200 head. The result will be 7,14, you always round down, so this one is 7. Now you buy every month a stack of 7 until the 27th month. Then you'll see that every month for now on you'll have a stack of 7 ready to sell and the pen will replenish itself automatically.
And another question is where did you find that feedlot I’ve been looking for it

Where are you at on the map that you have the dairy farm?
South west/ west location, added the dairy in myself and built just above the grain bins and shed.
May I ask what map?
